Loved the building, it's always interesting to look at the old architecture and goodies the restaurant has collected over the years. Loved eating in a booth on the porch, perfect for this nice weather. The fries were tasty and I scarfed down the burger.

Cute spot in Lansing! Wings were our favorite part of the meal. There are a bunch of flavors to choose from and the nice and friendly server we had (can't remember her name but she was great) said we could mix some if we wanted. Definitely would go back and try more of the flavors but we did the honey garlic and Cajun ranch. Cajun ranch was the favorite. Both were awesome. Can't wait to come back and sit on the porch again soon.

Between the local apple cider and the amazing breakfasts, I tell myself calories don't count at the Inn. Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. You will NOT be disappointed with this lovely bed and breakfast.

Though I did a last minute booking, she gave us three rooms to choose from. We had a great time. It's so peaceful here. If you are one of those people who needs Hilton or Hyatt welcoming and all luxury that 5 star boring hotels offer, you probably should not be staying here. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, warm, romantic place to stay-you will feel yourself home. And her awesome family style breakfast on a lovely patio with astonishing views of the Lake will make your stay even more romantic. We also enjoyed her hot tube on a chilly evening after spending an evening in Ithaca. Thank you Diana!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Visit trip adviser for full review…read more Much of our time was spent outside of the Airbnb, as the temperature indoors was too hot midday. Over 24 hours after our arrival, we still had not been provided with a garbage bag or can. When we complained to Diane about the service and accommodations she said "you should be grateful for the gift you received". She also asked us if we'd like to just leave, without a refund. We told her we would be staying, that we were still unhappy, and that we still needed that garbage bag. She also told us that we would need to clean the kitchen before we left, the kitchen that was dirty when we arrived. I let her know that all of the dishes had been present upon arrival. She had the nerve to call the kitchen "well used" in her review of us. That kitchen was dirty, but it was in that state when we arrived and I would be leaving it as I had found it. We ate every meal out, nothing was prepared in that kitchen. As the weekend went on, we were in need of additional toilet paper. Cumulatively, we had received 1 roll for 5 women, with a Friday through Monday stay. I sent Diane a message requesting toilet paper at 9AM and again at 3:45PM. Sometime after 4PM she replied, letting us know that additional toilet paper could be found in the room connected to the first small room. We used a butterknife to pop the eye and hook lock on that door, as this is the door that only locked from the outside and we didn't have access to. On our last evening there, we returned to the Villa around 10PM. Upon entering, the smell of dirty dog was pungent. No dogs had been seen. We made our way to bed. At 3AM we were woken up by the sounds of the voices of other guests. These guests were utilizing the common room located just outside our divider, they were also using every single light in the room. Much to my dismay, my shutter door doesn't really block light or sound, so I laid awake in my bed made of wicker. The guests returned to their rooms around 4:30AM. At 6AM we were woken up again, this time by the barks of the dirty dog in the room at the end of the hall. In summary, we were duped. We spent $1,750 for 3-nights at this location. $250 of that was a cleaning fee, something surely not happening at the Cayuga Lake Inn. We were treated like garbage and made to feel unwelcome. I will never recommend this location to a single person I know. I have no doubts that this used to be a beautiful location, but it is horribly maintained. Diane's knick-knacks and open books line every surface in the rooms. You can write messages in the layers of dust on the tables. If you're reading this Diane, your common room table says "Hi, Diane!" I'd love for you to go check. Wipe it while you're there, you can use the paper towels we brought from home. Stay away from the Cayuga Lake Inn. Beware of outdated positive reviews. There is no one working at this location except Diane, and she sucks.

Despite being so close to Collegetown, we felt like we were a million miles away -- everything was truly perfect and it was so hard leaving! This house is ENORMOUS - if I'm not mistaken there are 8 bedrooms, four of which have bathrooms ensuite which was perfect for our coupled off friends. The house is unbelievably charming -- a super old Victorian, but everything was in great working condition, the house was spotless (especially the beds + bedding which was pristine). We were able to cook in one night with all of the kitchenware which was so lovely, and ate out the other nights. This house is in PERFECT location for walking to both Ctown and the commons -- we even walked to the farmers market on Sunday. There is no lacking of outdoor seating - there's a front porch, a side screened in porch, and an unreal tiny deck overlooking the gorge, which is where I started each morning listening to the sound of rushing water. It was actual heaven. Pat and Shannon were wonderful and helpful and we can't wait to come back and stay here!

There doesn't seem to be a size limit for allowed pets, and there was a large dog in the room next door that barked loudly for hours. It seems like several guests also sneak their pets into the motel too as there was a warning sign at the front desk. Maybe it was because of all the pets, there was staff fumigating the hallways during our stay. The motel also doesn't feel safe since there were homeless people loitering outside the window in the parking lot during the day. We had to keep the shades closed. Guests avoided parking in that area and clustered their cars closer to the front door. There is also highway noise. Though the rooms seem to have been renovated within the last few years, they have several problems. They do not have secondary locks (the chained latch was broken). Most guests can't figure out the bathroom's look too since it's not obvious that you need to push in and turn the knob. It's a cheap lock that leads to twisted knobs from guests struggling to use it. The bathroom knob must have only cost a few dollars. The room smells dank (or maybe that was from the hallway fumigation). The window has a broken screen but you probably won't want to open it because of the homeless people loitering directly outside. There is an ice maker near the front desk but there are no ice buckets. When I asked the front desk for one, the staff member slowly unrolled and tore off a flimsy plastic bag as if it were very valuable. I'm not sure that there is enough cleaning staff since my room was not cleaned at all during my multiple day stay. There also aren't any Do Not Disturb signs if you didn't want staff into your room during the day. As for the free breakfast that incentivizes people to give it a try? The popular waffle maker has a long line since there's only one and the batter dispenser is very slow (probably because it was filled much to begin with). As a cost saving measure, the waffle maker is only available twice a week on Friday and Saturday. The other breakfast items include juice, whole milk, coffee, toast, 2 cereal choices, and factory made muffins. The small room for breakfast tends to get packed during college tour season. The motel is not able to hold your bags if you arrive too early to check-in or want to do some more touring after checking out. We interacted with 2 staff members during our stay. The overnight staff member was nice but the other one (the owner?) was on the surly side. If after all this you decide to be a patron, be sure to get a printout receipt when checking out since they don't give you one by default. It's the only way to make sure you are really checked out since I didn't see the staff member at the front desk type any buttons on his computer after handing him my room's keycards. TIPS: Bring dog repellent, a tick spray, a portable door wedge alarm, and Tupperware as an ice bucket.
