Local pond on the grounds

I love this place! Totally my kind of aesthetic. It's located so close to Watkins Glen State Park, too. The grounds are stunning with a great lookout onto Lake Seneca. Spend half a day exploring the grounds and you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are trails and waterfalls that you can explore. If you're lucky their dog Rocky will tag along! He's honestly the best part. They also have nightly campfires, which are amazing. The guest lounge has a telescope to look across the lake as well. Honestly, there are just too many good things to say and I'll gladly visit again. The attached bistro is also an excellent time with the same beautiful views. I'd recommend outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Rocky has a dog house and treats in there. I've only tried breakfast and dessert. Their waffleini and stuffed french toast are delicious. Coffee & tea are complimentary. The peanut butter cups looks great, but they taste a bit odd. Also, one morning a number of their coffee cups were still stained...

Took a walk with my dog on a trail, came across another gem!

What a gem! This was the only 2 days I could get away, and I picked the perfect place. Not only did they let me bring my dog, but everything was a 5*. The food, walking trails, a beautiful view, our room was VERY clean and last but not least, the staff made me feel like I've been friends with them for years. Mandy was my favorite. You are a fantastic host girl! Thank you for a beautiful getaway!!! I will see you again!

Bistro, office, Creek Cabin.

We stayed here 5 years ago so we decided to pick one of the Creek cabins. But what a difference 5 years make. Food was great. Very convenient to have a bistro in the location. We had dinner (which is more like tapas) and breakfast. Everything was cooked to order, fresh and delicious. The property is beautiful. Wake up early and enjoy the amazing sunrise. Nice staff. Clean cabin. My only negative is that the Creek cabins are rustic but the furniture came straight from the '90s so it takes away from that rustic feel. Other than that, a great stay.

My stay at cabin #36 was very much a home away from home. I would buy this cabin if it were for sale. The following are all the POSITIVES: - location to all our destinations ~ Corning Museum of Glass Farm Sanctuary Watkins Glen International Raceway - Every attention was paid to the necessities of your stay - logs provided free of charge for your bonfire 2 firepits on property - continental breakfast free ~ hot breakfast available to purchase in their bistro restaurant - friendly staff - the view - PET FRIENDLY (huge open area to run free till their doggie hearts are full of happiness) NEGATIVES: just ONE ~ creaky bed (just don't move :)

So many places to hike nearby including Buttermilk Falls.

What a great stay!! We arrived early, and since our room was ready, we could check in right away. We stayed 2 nights in a two-bedroom Lakeview cabin, and it was perfect. The cabins are modern and cozy with a huge window looking out at the lake and surrounding hills...absolutely beautiful. The place was well stocked with dishes and supplies. The front patio with timber chairs were used a lot, and we saw so many birds and a few deer in the meadow. The resident chocolate lab, Rocky, was the perfect ambassador, and everyone was really friendly. We hope to come back!

Great place to stay! Great views! Awesome food, beverages and staff! (And a chocolate lab named Rocky was a bonus)

My husband surprised me with a trip for our anniversary. The view from the lawn/fire pit is lovely. The staff is very friendly. The rest of the place is...interesting. The good: views, fire pit, continental breakfast, grills available, nice landscaping, clean room, comfy beds, microwave and small fridge in the room. The not-so-good: The "cabin" we stayed in was actually attached to another one, making me think that hubs was WAY overcharged for the room we had. The toilet is ridiculously low and ran at all hours of the night (but there's no phone in the room, so no way to let anyone know unless you can find a staff member), the shade on the skylight was broken, letting in an insane amount of morning sunlight. Parking was a chore. The amusing: 80's cream deco furniture and a tube TV. Not sure we'll stay again, but the place was pretty well-maintained overall.

What a gem! Lakeside resort is extremely dog friendly. Beautiful views and the staff are so friendly. Parking wasn't an issue with a trailer as they have a lot of space. We stayed in cabin 15 which was perfect, comfortable and affordable. The bistro is phenomenal. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast- small menu, but one where it's hard to choose as everything looks (and was) so good. Highly recommend!

Dog friendly alert. This place isn't just dog friendly- they love dogs and it absolutely shows in all of the pet accommodations. When we arrived it was easy to locate the check-in area and I love that they had packed parking. The check-in area is located inside the restaurant which is why you have to leave your pet outside the door. There are so many toys for dogs to play with and a very sturdy leash attached to the wall to keep your pet in place. It's also super cute. Unfortunately, my dog has severe separation anxiety and was going a little crazy with his screaming from the pet parking area. The woman who helped me get my code to my room and showed me a map of the property as well as going over what the restaurant has to offer came out and met me with Truman so that he could feel calm. It was easy to locate our room and we loved the view. We were just doing one night so we opted to stay in the smallest room (to save money) which was perfect. Upon entering the room there was a Pet Pak on the bed. The Pet Pak included sheets to put over the comforter to protect it, treats, a doggy poop bag, and a water bowl. We were so excited to go on explore the trails that we didn't stay in the room for long. There are so many trails to walk with so much beautiful scenery. There is a great view of the lake and even a waterfall. There is an amazing spot near the creek that you have to see to believe. The hiking trails are well-maintained and worth the trip just to experience that part of the resort. I definitely want to plan a trip to come back and stay longer so that I can really explore the area. The staff is so amazing everyone was so great with Truman and even though they were all swamped they all made time to greet their guests. Right before we headed out the next day we finally got to meet Rocky the dog concierge. Rocky is a very sweet boy and I'm so glad that he and Truman got to meet briefly. Staying here is one of the best experiences that I've had while traveling with my dog. For anyone that he's leaving their four-legged friends at home I highly recommend this place. Make sure that you call and book in advance because they are a popular resort to stay out in the area.

My friend and I just went there on Labor Day and stayed there for a night. Staffs were nice and friendly. Our room was so comfortable and had enough space for 2 people. The view is so fantastic! If you are an early bird, waking up in the morning to see sunrise is definitely worth for your time. They have a fire pit, but we didn't try that. They also have a lot of space for dogs to run and greens to explore. We will definitely come back when we have a chance. Love it!

This stay makes me giggle every time I think about our experience here. It was totally strange but when I really think about it, the stay wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. We were visiting Seneca Lake and went to several wineries starting in Geneva and worked our way down the lake to Watkins Glen. We thought about staying in a hotel, but when these "resorts" came up in a pamphlet given to us by the Hampton Inn in Geneva, we thought we would give it a go. We were told they were lakeside as it says in the same and to be up front, they are not lakeside by any means, but stay tuned. So we called the number and reached a gentleman who was very sweet and eager to have us come stay the night. The Yelp address for this place is incorrect so if you're using your GPS to get to the address listed here it will take you too far into Watkins Glen. Double check the address with google or speak with the owner about how to get here. When we arrived, it felt like we were at a motel kind of because there was no lobby or anything just a little area to meet the owner and get the keys. The place is definitely outdated. I felt like i was in an 80's movie, which we tried to find the humor in instead of getting upset about. One lakeside resort was $100 for the night, which we thought was overpriced considering the lack of amenities and such but it was what it was. We were the only people there, literally the only ones. Parking was a little odd, there didn't seem to be enough spots for the resorts available. So onto the "resorts" which I am going to refer to as little cabins, because that's what they were. They each had a porch with a bench outside, no smoking inside, which we appreciated. The owner escorted us to a cabin and when he opened the door we had to laugh because of the decor, I mean straight from the 80's. Floral curtains, floral duvet covers, wooden mismatched furniture, but we did not care because the place was CLEAN and smelled fine and that's really all we could ask for. There were two queen sized beds, a full length mirror with a sink in the bedroom area, which we thought was so odd but we actually utilized it so much throughout our stay! There was a soap dispenser for both this sink and the one in the bathroom and the shower had shampoo and conditioner in a dispenser as well. There was a closet, a mini refrigerator a TUBE TV, which we got a kick out of, which was set in a little armoire. There was a nightstand, with a surge protector for additional outlets, little circular table and a bathroom, which was very small but functional. The beds are VERY firm, I mean probably the most firm bed I've ever slept on, which is not for me. The pillows had definitely seen better days as it felt like the insides were maybe separating some. I was a big fan of the sheets and velvet like blanket and there was an extra quilt in the closet if we got cold. The TV had cable and there was wireless internet as well. So it may seem like what I'm writing constitutes more of a 3-star review instead of 4, but the owner was so hospitable and accommodating to our requests. The morning we were to check out by 11, we wanted to go to Watkins Glen to hike but the weather was absolutely horrid, down pouring rain and we had planned to do the vineyards and distilleries on the other side of the lake that day. I knew after hiking for three hours I would want to come back and shower before heading to the wineries. I asked the owner if he would extend our check out time an hour so that we could come back and shower after the hike. He allowed us to do so and it made our day. The place advertises a continental breakfast. I'll leave it up to you to determine what a continental breakfast is but this one was hilarious but adorable at the same time. The owner had a pot of coffee brewed and ready for us when we woke up. He had a fridge with bread, mini bagels, cream cheese, butter, milk and orange juice. He had peanut butter and jelly spread out and hardboiled eggs. It was definitely a simple, small breakfast but it was still nice. The room that the breakfast was in has an awesome view of the lake, very bright and airy. As funny and unique as our stay was, I would recommend it to others.

Strawberry shortcake with the view of Seneca from the porch of the bistro.

Nice addition to the west side of Seneca Lake. We just stopped for lunch, not as resort guests, but the new lodging looks very cool. We enjoyed the three "bites" we tried: the Polynesian-style pork taco, the seafood hotdog, & the strawberry shortcake. All were fresh and tasty. Pretty view of the lake and a perfect impromptu lunch for two.

Morning coffee with a view.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows are plentiful. The location cannot be beat. We had dinner and drinks at the Blue Pointe Grille the night we arrived. We had a high top in the bar right near a window for a nice view of the lake. Highly recommend.

It's rare that I'm dazzled by a hotel or feel that it's worth the money (they're all stupid…read moreexpensive these days), but Harbor Hotel was a wonderful experience I'd recommend to anyone. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive. But for once I felt like I'd gotten my money's worth! Everything everywhere was meticulously clean and well-kept. Our room was spacious and bright, with a private balcony and chairs, a couch and coffee table, and a full table that allowed us to take comfortable advantage of the room service breakfast. Potpourri sachets in the closet, free water bottles in the lobby, free coffee stations on each floor, and chocolates every night on the pillows--details, people! We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, and of course the gorgeous patio and firepits overlooking the lake which was 80% of the reason we booked here. All of the staff we encountered, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were very friendly. I did think it was a little strange that the fitness center was in a whole different building and you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it, but hey--you get your steps in. The hotel is also very centrally located. On the water, of course, but next door to Seneca Harbor Station from which you can book lake cruises. It's also less than a mile from the entrance to Watkins Glen State Park and hiking trails and only a 5-10 minute walk from most restaurants. We did most things on foot. When you do get back in the car, there are multiple wineries within a 15-minute drive. The only problem the whole visit was the hotel internet, which was terrible every day. You could make do in the daytime, but at night, when everyone was back in their rooms after the day out exploring, it was slow to the point of unusable, and I ended up turning on my data hotspot to even be able to check my email. I would not suggest bringing time-sensitive work with you, and you should not expect to be able to stream videos on your devices. Just disconnect, you'll be less frustrated. There is an onsite restaurant and bar, and while it's nothing mind-blowing, it is a nice option to have (and is one of the few "higher end" type places in Watkins Glen). Menu includes a few of the standard local wines, which was nice!
