    Veiw from the Penthouse room

We were B & B virgins so didn't know what to expect. This was a wonderful experience. Seneca Lake veiw from our room and from the expansive deck. Vicki and Lou had baskets of stuff you might forget sitting in the hall and in the bathroom. Room was clean and cozy. Bed and bedding was great. There was a ton of food sitting out. Vicki baked an apple pie and had it sitting on the counter. Coffee, tea, chocolates and cupcakes abound. A great experience and close to the areas multiple wineries. Would stay again with no hesitation.

It's not a ship but it's the kind of place you are welcome to come and go from. Or stay on "deck" that day. So comfy it's hard to mention all of them. Cozy corners in and out. Even a basket of blankets at the front door if you are chilled. The lights on all the exterior lines of this beautiful Victorian lead you up the hill to home after a dinner at a local restaurant. And your take-away (or home-prepared food) is welcome in the guest frig. Guests congregate on the porches, in the gazebo, in the spacious game room, library, jigsaw puzzle room, and on the lawns all day. So much comfy seating at all times. (I think there are over 100 chairs of all kinds in this inn.) Four more amenities that also stand out are the different coffees and snacks you are welcome to all day and night; the USB connections in all guest rooms; the puzzles, games and books to convince you to relax; and the automatic lights throughout the common rooms that stay on until 1 am. Oh, and an Alexa speaker in the gazebo where you can play your favorite streaming music! Marcus and Elin have thought of everything.

We drove up in September for a CHIN event at the Watkins Glen International Raceway, and our stay at the inn was a highlight. All of the reviews are so true; this is THE place to stay. In addition to serving us a fabulous hot breakfast (alight, beautiful scone, Ithaca Farms yogurt with homemade granola, French toast bake with a bourbon honey sauce and peaches and blueberries, coffee, hot tea, OJ), they provided us two days of breakfast to go since we had to go the track much earlier than they were serving the hot breakfast at 8:30 a.m. These were the goodies in our two days' breakfast to go: fruit (perfect strawberries and nectarines ), bread (croissants , gorgeous french with butter, banana bread), hardboiled brown eggs, mozzarella sticks, chocolate biscotti imported from a bakery in New Jersey , wet wipes, thick napkins, utensils, OJ, water, nut snacks, Nutella/pretzels, peanut butter with special crackers, divided between the two days, of course. Not only did David and Brian welcome us with a lovely wine happy hour on our first day, they also recommended hikes to take, wineries to visit, and restaurants to try. Among their recommendations, these were the restaurants we enjoyed: -Graft: local wine and beer. Tomato salad, mac and cheese with chicken sausage, and bread plate. -Maria's cheeseburger, a hole in the wall with fabulous cheeseburgers, near Colonial inn ice cream at which we ordered salted caramel and peanut butter blast, chunks of peanut butter in chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was soooo creamy! -Jerlandos: pizza and garlic knots (YUM), which we ate outside. We had $5 off $35 coupon from a wine map. -Sinclair's gas station for fabulous subs/hoagies! I have a picture of a whole sub that my husband and I shared (and could have shared with one more person!) and of the thick, fluffy bread, homemade every morning at the store, which is in a gas station! Thank you so much to David, Brian, and Dom! Y'all made us feel at home, and your lovely home is so welcoming and comfortable. Hope to see you again next year!

The grounds are well manicured. The bed was comfortable and the pillows are plentiful. The location cannot be beat. We had dinner and drinks at the Blue Pointe Grille the night we arrived. I was a little hesitant to eat at the hotel restaurant. I was bracing to be disappointed. Service was on point and cocktails were well made. Food was delicious. We had a high top in the bar right near a window for a nice view of the lake. Highly recommend.

It's rare that I'm dazzled by a hotel or feel that it's worth the money (they're all stupid…read moreexpensive these days), but Harbor Hotel was a wonderful experience I'd recommend to anyone. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive. But for once I felt like I'd gotten my money's worth! Everything everywhere was meticulously clean and well-kept. Our room was spacious and bright, with a private balcony and chairs, a couch and coffee table, and a full table that allowed us to take comfortable advantage of the room service breakfast. Potpourri sachets in the closet, free water bottles in the lobby, free coffee stations on each floor, and chocolates every night on the pillows--details, people! We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, and of course the gorgeous patio and firepits overlooking the lake which was 80% of the reason we booked here. All of the staff we encountered, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were very friendly. I did think it was a little strange that the fitness center was in a whole different building and you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it, but hey--you get your steps in. The hotel is also very centrally located. On the water, of course, but next door to Seneca Harbor Station from which you can book lake cruises. It's also less than a mile from the entrance to Watkins Glen State Park and hiking trails and only a 5-10 minute walk from most restaurants. We did most things on foot. When you do get back in the car, there are multiple wineries within a 15-minute drive. The only problem the whole visit was the hotel internet, which was terrible every day. You could make do in the daytime, but at night, when everyone was back in their rooms after the day out exploring, it was slow to the point of unusable, and I ended up turning on my data hotspot to even be able to check my email. I would not suggest bringing time-sensitive work with you, and you should not expect to be able to stream videos on your devices. Just disconnect, you'll be less frustrated. There is an onsite restaurant and bar, and while it's nothing mind-blowing, it is a nice option to have (and is one of the few "higher end" type places in Watkins Glen). Menu includes a few of the standard local wines, which was nice!

It's central to the state park and Seneca Lake, as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, there was a TV and we had a mini fridge. One icky thing was that there was a half full Gatorade bottle on the floor when we walked in. The indoor pool was heated, nice for a few laps, but annoyingly you have to ask the desk for a key before using it. And there was some (minor) garbage on one of the chairs in the pool area. Everything worked in the room and it's always fun to watch Forensic Files as you drift off to sleep in a hotel. I just wish it was a bit cleaner.

We kept our AC up to diminish the stale odor of smoke. This is a non-smoking place so maybe it needs a good deep clean. We were disappointed with the breakfast part for what they charge. It was self serve frozen waffles or pancakes. The other option was bagel, English muffin or cold cereal, no milk for it until our last day there. If you wanted more than a keurig cup of coffee with Walmart brand k-cups, you had to brew your own. They don't serve breakfast but maybe they could leave some options like eggs for the guests to cook. The en-suite bathroom could use a shelf to put your cosmetics on.
