Run fast run far! The job was quoted by Gabriel. He said it's a two day job. According to the contract they were supposed to fix cracks, machine wash, touch up color and reseal the floor. Three days later...Cracks did not go anywhere so I don't know what they meant by fix cracks. During the machine wash their tech scratched the hallway leaving a long scratch that will greet you as soon as you walk into the front door. The floor has spots and bubbles all over which were not supposed to happen if the tech is experienced. We had 2 scratches that we wanted them to work on. They turned like crap as well. The baseboards are not done properly throughout the house. After the job was completed Gabriel met me at the house for his second portion of the payment. I have voiced my concerns. He said the crew will come back the next day to get it done. He took his money and left. The guys came back the next day but you can tell their hearts were not in it any longer. They took the mop and started going all over the baseboards coloring some of the freshly painted walls in the process. They were done in a few minutes picked up their equipment and left. In a couple of days I get a call from someone from their office asking if the job was done to our liking. I explained that it wasn't and I don't want to talk to Gabriel anymore because it is quite pointless. They sent another person who was saying things were done well however he would send someone to fix the issues that were not done correctly. I honestly can say that I am done with this company and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

I bought a true fixer upper about a year ago. I tore out bad floor tile and carpeting throughout the house. I was left with a concrete floor that had been stained reddish brown decades ago. There were minor cracks and nail holes from the wood tack strips in addition to patches of old glue that couldn't be removed. I could have looked for new flooring options but I wanted to have the concrete refinished and sealed. Rogo's doesn't specialize in this -- they typically grind and add a colored polymer layer -- however, they took on my project. Indeed, it became more of a project than we all imagined. They used a 600 pound machine to grind the floors twice. The attached vacuum did an excellent job of controlling the dust. (Of course, no method eliminates dust completely so manage your expectations.) Unfortunately, the result left a blotchy floor that still had patches of the original reddish brown stain. A simple sealant wasn't yet possible. Instead, they applied by hand a stain that camouflaged most of the original stain. This was an experimental approach to be sure but I really wanted a concrete floor that looks like real concrete. The job took twice as long because of all the hand applications of the stain. Some areas of the floor required more or less depending on how much the original stain underneath shown through. This was a tough task and the project took twice as long at eight days. Those are the breaks when dealing with an old house: expect to be surprised and challenged. So, what was the result? Well, first, kudos to Julian, the artist who hand applied the stain and sealant. He and I were patient with each other during this adventure. The finish is a milky green grey concrete look that has subtle hints of the original stain underneath. It sort of looks like absinthe to me. It's a very subdued but unique floor with depth that isn't for everyone. It has the rawness of concrete that I love. Just as importantly, it respects the character of the house very well. A shoutout, too, to Joel who managed the project and was eager to do everything necessary to ensure that the result met my expectations. I felt that all of us worked together as a team and that's the key. Every year or two, I'll clean the floor and apply a coat of sealer to keep it looking good. read more

I recently had the misfortune of hiring "Rogos" to redo the floors in my home. What was supposed to be a simple renovation turned into a full-blown horror story. Let me share my spine-chilling experience: 1. The Unholy Installation Ritual: we paid a moving company to move all of our furniture out into a pod, moved our three dogs and three cats, two kids and two adults into a small Airbnb for three weeks. Imagine that all this costs at least $8000. 2. The "Artistic" Approach: Gabriel Rodriguez. To start, he is a misogynist and spoke down to me on the phone and in person when he came for an estimate. When my husband was present, he was a different person and stated that our current tile was "fine", and they would just pour concrete over the top. Little did we know this would just be a band aid for still having tile cracking underneath in multiple areas of the house. When we called to have them reevaluate about six months after when the floor started to crack and elevate, they returned and said they would fix it for Amir $3000. Once I was done, the floor in this 2' x 10' area was a completely different color than the rest of our house. They then stated they would fix the color of the rest of the house to match for another mere few thousand dollars. Fast forward another two weeks, we have dog hair stained and sealed into our floors. The staining is now becoming bleached and cracked in multiple areas as in photos below. 1. The Stain Saga: the colors in this house are absolutely egregious (after their "fix", but also before). None of the floors are the same color as other parts of the home, there's a whirlpool right in the middle of our living room (see photo), the baseboards were supposed to be same color as the floor however, at least 10 shades darker and still multiple different color, also with deterioration less than a year out. 2. The Creaking Symphony: the two year warranty on the contract that Hass to be signed, does not cover anything, so why do they have one? We have multiple areas of cracks and splits in the floor due to the fact that they recommended we didn't rip out the current tile. 3. Customer Service Nightmare: When I called to express my dissatisfaction, Kevin was the only reasonable human. He came to the house and admitted it was horrible, he couldn't fathom what a horrific job and stated he wouldn't be able to live here. He also admitted Gabriel has had a history of treating females in a derogatory manor, then we quickly learned Gabriel's brother is the owner of the company. Their only offer was that they could redo and repaint the floors for ""free, however, again another 8000+ dollars would have to be spent to move out and rent an Airbnb for a month which is not possible for us after we spent $25,000 plus on this hack job Conclusion: Avoid "Rogos." at all costs. If you value your sanity, stick to carpet or invest in a pair of levitating shoes. My home now doubles as a haunted attraction. read more

I called them back to fix that and other things they messed up and they never came back out. Now after 1 year big chunks of there decking is coming up. This is the 2nd project we've done with Rogo's, the first was about a decade ago just after purchasing the house. We have acid-stained concrete floors in about 3/4 of our home. Both jobs involved refinishing and grout repair. The project was completed in 3 days, but the workmen left in a bit of a hurry before we had a chance to inspect, and we found some issues, hence 4 stars instead of 5. The good news is the crew returned the next day and made everything right. Not an inexpensive job, but it was a ton of work and the guys worked really hard and the end result is high quality. Picture of the finished living room floor below. We didn't have any of the dust issues mentioned in some of the other reviews, but our project did not raise a lot of dust to begin with so non-issue. They took the carpet off the floor and set us up with a "stained concrete" floor, but what we got has not lasted and has been a huge disappointment. I thought it would be concrete that had color added into it and then some kind of gloss put onto the top. What it actually is, is regular gray concrete with basically a layer or two of colored paint over the top. We got this floor three years ago and it's disintegrating and it just looks terrible. The whole ordeal was expensive, almost $3000, and it was a fiasco throughout. First up, they lost the original color we selected and we ended up getting something somewhat different. The man in charge of our project promised he'd get "one of the best crews for us," which implies there are bad crews, which is actually what we got. They were there much longer than promised and didn't seem to know what they were doing. We followed their directions for curing to a T, even going above & beyond them to make sure it had time to "cure" properly as directed. Yet once it was "cured," it started peeling off in big chunks immediately. Any small disruption, like pulling a light chair across the floor, caused huge chunks of the paint to peel up. What a disappointment. We called, and they did redo it. So we waited another 3 days to let the redo cure. The guy swore it was "a really good crew this time." But it wasn't a really good floor. We had the same problem. Any high traffic area of the room has big chunks of peeling paint and exposed concrete. When we told them it was peeling up, they sent someone out to patch it, and they promised to leave us with a repair kit, which they never followed through on. The repairs didn't last, anyway. Even three years later, new pieces start peeling away when I do something like move my couch across the floor. I don't know a good place to get a concrete floor put in, but it's not from here. read more

Our experience with Rogo's was far from ideal. They were supposed to start on 8/22/22 and that morning after spending the weekend prepping for them, moving furniture, taking down pictures, putting up plastic to prevent dust from entering the rest of the house and getting up early on that Monday to move the fridge and stove out of the kitchen, I get a call from our foreman, Gilbert, saying they didn't finish the previous job and now would not be able to start until Weds. Gilbert appeased us by assuring us that, once they start the job they will be done in 4-5 days. They began on 8/24/22 and finished on 1/30/2023. 6 months of delays, mistakes, unprepared and unequipped workers and issues with the quality of work. And in the end, while the floors looked good, for about a month, the finish scratches so easily that we will have to be doing touchup frequently. Very disappointed. read more

i would not recommend Rogo's. I purchased a new 3400 square foot home and chose to go with Rogo's finished concrete floors, only to find THOUSANDS of small DARK HAIRS in the light finished floor. I brought it to their attention that hair nets should be a requirement during the floor application, but they refused and claim the specks are dirt in the air. (I CALL BS!) I have spent hours razor blading the hairs off the floor surface and I can't wait until I have the floors refinished. One thing is for sure...It won't be done by Rogo's. read more

I don't know how I discovered Rogo's Finishing Touch (I put out a multiple requests on Facebook for nearby neighbors that had epoxy work done). I should've looked at their reviews here first! They came in with the cheapest rate and the largest military discount, but I guess you get what you pay for. They didn't arrive on time for the first day. Apparently the installer's truck was too low to make it up my driveway. Don't know why he wasn't in a company truck...that they ended up using anyway. They used a standard floor buffer to grind the floor, unlike the other companies that I got estimates from that said they use machines that are attached to vacuums to minimize the dust. Well I've been cleaning dust from everywhere in my garage, unfortunately. They did a good job at masking the baseboard, but did a lousy job removing it! I knew that there would be some damage to the baseboards, but I anticipated painting them as soon as the epoxy was cured. Unfortunately, I had to spend over an hour going around on my hands and knees removing stuck on masking tape from the entire perimeter before I could begin painting. The actual epoxy job was ok. I found some areas that were missed or the the colored chips were way too thick and have rough edges sticking up through the epoxy. After doing some research on polyasprartic coatings there a number of variables to determine quality and the primary one is thickness. Can't tell you if they cut corners there and only time will tell. I have a 2-year workmanship warranty and I will be watching the calendar closely! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them and recommend paying a few hundred dollars more and to with a company that has a proven track record as verified by reviews. read more

They did a great job on the floors, no complaints there. However, my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the same reason other folks have had issues, the aftermath is brutal. We were told that everything put on counters was going to be covered. That didn't happen, everything in the house, everything, is covered in a thin layer of chalk. All of my walls, dishes inside of the cabinets, bathroom fixtures, and anything on a counter needs to be scrubbed. I would have covered it myself if we would have known, and we were told it was going to be done. Floors look great, keep in mind it isn't really concrete, it's more of a polymer mix, so I wouldn't recommend it is you are going to be doing shop work or anything heavy duty on it. Great for residential homes though. read more

I was wanting to upgrade the floor finish on my cement porch and was told to check out Rogo's. I'm so glad I did. Their showroom has lots of examples of flooring styles, colors and textures. With their help it was easy to set up an appointment for them to see the actual floor, do the measurements, and set up a convenient work appointment. I knew exactly what I was getting. Watching the guys lay out the faux flagstone effect and then rubbing in the color was fun to watch. They're artists! I loved the final floor they created. I have been dealing with this company since 2011. I had a flood in my house, and when I had the repairs done, decided to "upgrade" my floors with a concrete overlay. The demo guys ripped a lamp that wasn't replaced, put three holes on my walls and ceiling, left the torn out tile INSIDE the house (while we we living there) to the point that we couldn't access half the house (hello fire hazard!), and scratched our brand new vinyl sliding glass door, to the point where they had to replace it. The installers did a beautiful job initially. When moving my refrigerator back inside, the scratched the doors and bent them so out of whack, that they had to replace them. Then, left all of the food that was inside of the fridge, outside in 110 degree weather... The floor has bubbled under the cabinets, and cracked, they won't repair it. Then, (this one is the kicker) I was recently having problems with my guest bathroom toilet. The plumber informed me that he needed to pull up the toilet to get to the plug/roots that were in the pipe. MY TOILET WAS CEMENTED TO THE FLOOR. They sent a representative out to look at the giant issue... he said this isn't how they do their work, and took full responsibility for the problem. But, that's where it stopped. He wouldn't return a phone call, but he emailed me to tell me that he'd have to charge me to have their guys come out to fix the problem THAT THEY CAUSED. Are you f****** kidding me?! You cemented my toilet to the floor, and I have to pay for the repairs?! Do NOT use this company for ANYTHING. You will be left with a disaster, and repairs you'll have to take care of yourself. My floor scratches so incredibly easily! It's terrible!! read more

Here is our experience...Things to know before selecting Rogo's. You need to get very specific information from the salesperson, ours (Richard) told us they would tape all of the baseboards and tape the grout lines before they are painted. Also be prepared for a LOT of dust throughout your whole house when they sand - while they cover cabinets and appliances our team actually started pulling the covers off while final sanding was still underway... Things I have to repair after Rogo's left: 1. EVERY baseboard has to be repainted, they left blue painters tape everywhere and tore off 2 coats of paint so that they look horrible. 2. Wall paint touchups - they got concrete and sealer up to 3 feet high on the walls 3. Water leaks - they reinstalled the washer and dryer but hooked BOTH of them up incorrectly creating a small flood on the new floors 4. grout lines - they did NOT tape the grout lines like promised and some look like a small child painted them with paint going outside of the lines so that they look wobbly when viewed from across the room. 5. Paint spatters - they dropped paint in numerous areas and just scraped it off exposing the concrete below (some of these were repaired afterwards but several remain). They did send a repairman out to touch up the floors and he did a good job spending about 3-4 hours redoing their work. He said he could have spent the whole day there... We were told they pay their sub-contractors before the job which creates an urgency for those teams to hurry up and get to the next job. Overall, the floors will look nice once I finish all the repairs listed above but you need to be aware so that this doesn't happen to you. read more

About 3 years ago I called to have some repairs made on our overlay. It's spider cracked and lifting offf. Someone came out "repaired" the sections, and within a week his repairs spider cracked and lifted. Theysent him out again to repair the repai, and it spider cracked and lifted again within 2 months. I called again a week and half ago and was greeted by an unprofessional receptionist, that set an appointment for 11:00 May 14. Yesterday they called to confirm and told me my appointment is at 11:30, and when I told her the other person had told me 11:00, I was told it's written right here for 11:30. I have it written as she told me at the time she told me for 11. The estimator calls me at 11:22 saying he is running late for my estimate of a clean and seal! I told him it's for repairs, and that I used to be a masonry contractor, and when I made appointments I was at least 5 minutes early! Not 45 late! He was rude because I guess I offended him, and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told him I already waited a week and half! That's when I had enough of him. If I ran my contracting business this way, I would have never been able to retire!!!!! read more

Wish we could give 0 stars. The work is extremely low quality. There are trowel marks and inconsistencies everywhere. There are multiple crack in the floor. They did not replace the toilets. When I reinstalled the toilets I learned they built up around the drain. It took a lot of shims to get the toilet level. They broke our refrigerator cabinet. Avoid at all costs. read more

The workmen who came out were very conscientious in keeping everything tidy and keeping the disruption to our home to a minimum. We had two outdoor decks refinished. The existing deck finish was epoxy that had a few chips but otherwise in good condition. They did quick power wash and screen scuff on the decks. Then just rolled on a couple of coats of Behr (HomeDepot) concrete paint followed up by a clear acrylic "wax". The installer said the topcoat needs to reapplied every two years. They did not repair some of the small cracks and chips that were part of the quote. They came back to repair these flaws and did a poor job on the repair. The cost was $2.95 per square foot and it really was only worth a $1 per sqaure foot. A ripoff. read more

We were excited about getting a new patio and Rogos's sent out an employee for an estimate. He came out and measured (and did not bring any sample or books to review) and said he would get back with us w estimate. Five days later we didn't hear anything so we contacted the office and were told that they would get the estimate to us later that evening. We did not receive it that evening and had to wait two more days. Pretty unimpressed with the apathetic approach to what had been our enthusiasm for this project. This place was recommended to me by my real estate agent when I bought my house last year. I wanted a replacement for the tired carpet and liked the polished concrete floors in my old place. I was told the concrete overlay was just as durable but afforded more color and design options. I had high hopes but sadly nearly 1 year on and I still hate these floors. Firstly, the install crew didn't bother removing the toilet or pedestal sink in the bathroom (or mention to me that I should). They splattered concrete all over my fixtures and didn't even overlay behind them which left a totally exposed and obvious flaw. I had to clean them up myself and practically beg them to do it right. Secondly, after they finished the job I was sweeping the floor and a large chunk of overlay peeled off. I even left the house empty for 1 week to ensure it was dry enough. Well, it took 2 months of calling and complaining to get someone over here to fix it. The fix looked horrible so they sent "their best" guy over to repair it and it still looks like shit. The owner even scheduled a visit to see for himself but no showed at the last minute. Lastly, the floor is about as durable as an egg shell. It scratches and chips with even the slightest touch. For example, I dropped a tube of toothpaste on the floor which left a gouge. I'm so dissatisfied in the flooring that I'm planning on covering it up with hardwood. I probably should've just done that from the beginning. Terrible flooring, terrible customer service. I'll never recommend these people to anybody. read more

The front office told us the wrong start date when we called. When our very nice floor guy came out, he hadn't been told any of the info he needed to know- materials, which rooms, that a washer needed to be moved- which tripled the time the project was estimated. Joe obviously cares about his work and wanted us happy. Gilbert his manager was breathing down his neck to just get it done. We wanted some touch up, better blending. Joe was happy to oblige. Gilbert showed up to tell them they were done and tried to collect extra money from us for the customer service/trying to make it right. We were very uncomfortable with Gilbert. I'm really writing this review so no one at Rogo takes out his crookedness on a hard working Joe. The finished product, though a headache, looks good thanks to him. read more

We imagine he did the initial job - with multiple flaws. He stated one area of floor is a "can of worms". Very poor work that now needs HUGE cosmetic help after living here 10 years. A concrete overlay or veneer, any quality work was never a priority. In OUR home, he found it comfortable to use the 'F' word twice, & 'S' word multiple times. Priority was about all his BIG PARTY plans and past large parties with lots of LOUD music DISTURBING his neighbors. Was he attempting to be cool? Beware! Save your money and look elsewhere for someone that will stand behind their work! I had ROGO's inspect my patio because of 'lifting' issues with an old concrete overlay applied 9 years before. ROGO's recommended a partial removal of the old overlay, and applied their suggested overlay that looked really nice.....but not for long! The new overlay started lifting and, when ROGO's came out to inspect, spent most of the time complaining that is wasn't their fault, that it was too old to be their responsibility, and that there must be something wrong with the concrete slab underneath. What good was their recommendation if you need to pay them to re-do it after 2 years? read more

First off, I love the look of my floors. I'm writing to warn people who hire Rojo's to ask the right questions before they start. Ideally, if you have baseboards, they should be removed prior to the floors being done so that the concrete will not end in a ragged edge that needs to be caulked. By you. I would gladly have removed the baseboards and replaced them had I known how bad it would look without caulking. Next, be sure to ask, even though you will be required to remove every piece of furniture, if walls, cabinets, window coverings, etc. will be covered. I had to clean bits of concrete off my walls, baseboards, wood blinds, kitchen cabinets, and even a low window up to four feet off the floor and then repaint (not just touch up) and restain. I would gladly have covered everything had I known all the work I'd have had to do once the job was done. Cans of sealer were set on wood ledges and sealer was dropped on my newly done concrete stoop outside my front door. Neither of these were able to be cleaned off by the company's customer service guy (who was as accommodating as he was able to be). Fortunately, I still had a little to pay and the company did lessen that amount somewhat to make up for their mistakes that will have to be professionally repaired. Expect things like hairs to be sealed right in to the surface. It IS a concrete surface but it is NOT cheap. So, I recommend that even though you have to move out for five to six days, be there every day to try to catch them before they make sloppy mistakes. AND ASK QUESTIONS EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Unfortunately, I didn't know all the right questions to ask but I hope this helps a little. And, of course, I assumed Rojo's was professional enough to know how to minimize all the problems I encountered. But my floors do look very nice. read more

Rogo's did a beautiful job installing two rooms of Saltillo tile floors to match the tile in the rest of the house. At first I was concerned because the two men who came to do the installation were so very young, but I they did a GREAT job. They were organized, efficient, and true craftsmen in the way they set up the tiles before actually installing them. They worked late the first night and were finished at the end of the second day. They also did a great job cleaning up the work site. I did have some early confusion/concern because I ordered the tile from the place the estimator recommended (I asked.) The tile company told me that Rogo's would pick up the tile when it came in, but then when I called Rojo's to confirm our appointment for the next day, they said it was my responsibility to get the tile delivered before the next morning. After numerous phone calls, Rogo's agreed to pick it up for an additional fee. This caused me a lot of stress, and it was only my due diligence that found the problem in time to avert a big problem.
