However, the actual food and service, at least for brunch, are just very meh. We had a brunch event, and the fare tasted like a corporate catered breakfast by Sodexho or Flik - not what you would expect from an actual restaurant. The fruit bowl had melon that was left out too long, the hash browns were greasy and bland, the sausage was greasy and salty, and the scrambled eggs were just rubbery and tasteless. The bread options looked like they could have been from Comfort Inn: crumbly bagels, sliced white bread, and English muffins with packets of Philadelphia cream cheese and jelly. No fresh cream cheese or butter! The ONLY bright side was the seafood chowder, which was excellent: creamy and filled with scallops and clams. There was an omelet bar but it's your typical version and almost impossible to mess up. The passed canapes were also very meh:mashed avocado toast, bland bruschetta, and salty & sinewy lox rolls. The service was okay but not spectacular, and the actual ambiance was a nice and rustic but not truly upscale. The bathrooms seemed like public restrooms, which was a bit disconcerting. I would just get the seafood chowder here as that appears to be their claim to fame and skip brunch. 4 stars for the chowder and 2 for everything else for 3 overall - and only because I am comparing on a relative scale to the area.

The staff was super helpful and efficient even though there were several customers ahead of us, they got us all set up quickly. They gave me a couple options for demo skis and recommended a pair that worked out great. The return of the gear was very easy, we wound up keeping it 1 day longer to ski more and they had no issue with it, we just settled up at the end. They also have a lot of other winter gear and very reasonable prices.

I would highly recommend them if you are trying to find parts for discontinued older models of kayaks and canoes. I emailed them some questions I had to make sure I was purchasing the right stuff and they got back to me quickly and were very informative in their explanations. The website has very thorough explanations for the Wilderness systems brand ad well. I have since placed a second order. Parts can be either mailed to you or picked up at their store. While I had previously used Amazon to try to find parts, they didn't fit my kayak and had to be returned. I never have that issue with the parts I order from TopKayaker and they are better quality than the stuff on Amazon.

Thinking that I may have misinterpreted her behavior, I attempted to ask another question about snowboard seasonal rental rates & policies and she referred me to the man who saved this review from 1 star. However as kind as he was, I will not be a patron of this retailer. What I have learned is that there is too much competition in this area to spend my money at this particular shop.
