Nice local theater nothing beats only a couple minute drive from me. Popcorn is excellent all the time and the staff are very friendly. The one thing I would like is a mega screen. It needs that upgrade. Even if they combine 2 screens to do it. It would be so worth it for the movie going experience. read more

I live in Los Angeles, so I've been to the very best movie palaces in the world (Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Cinerama Dome), and also some of the worst (dollar movies in decaying, poorly-managed, sticky cinemas in the valley). I'd last been to Rogers as a teen, but I didn't know what to expect decades later, especially after a standard of literal Hollywood-quality experiences. The Wis. Rapids Rogers is a bemusing little theatre - no frills, not even a marquee, but there's a set of wing chairs to fancy up your wait if it's too early to enter your cinema. The workers were, unsurprisingly, gum-cracking teens, who were polite and efficient. The place was clean. There's a tiny parking lot, and plenty more parking on the side streets, all free. The cinema itself was larger than I expected, with fairly comfortable seats. Sound and picture quality were fine. Happy to report that this Rogers is a well-maintained, serviceable movie theatre. read more

Although the only show in town, the theater is clean, pleasant and friendly. The staff has been polite and friendly both times I have been there recently. The theaters are clean and well-maintained. Ticket prices are comparable to other theaters but refreshments seemed a big pricey. All in all, if you are heading to the movies, this is a great place to go. read more

My friends and I stopped in to see the new Halloween Kills movie. At first I was very pleased by the friendly workers that greeted me. Then I reached the small theater that is supposed to fit an entire group of people trying to catch the new Halloween movie. Normally I wouldn't mind the small theater because that means less people, but with the way covid is going, the theater should try to social distance individuals, especially when there are certain people taking up multiple seats. Then, the one that really takes the cake, NOBODY IS WEARING MASKS! It's almost like nobody cares, not even the theater workers. Is it that hard to get a larger theater for a sellout movie. read more

Wouldn't it be great, if the movies were first shown at 12 noon everyday? So the elderly, disabled, or general public, could go see a movie before....school got out. Not everyone has the same schedule. Or the ability to get out at later hours. This would create a better service to the public, and more business to the theater Any initial, inforseen costs to the theater, could be covered by the profit margin on the theaters popcorn. read more

I had a very disappointing second visit at this Cinema and I have learned my lesson and will never return. My family brought clear plastic cups to fill with water from the water bubbler. We paid the price of admission and bought concessions and were harassed for this transgression. What is worse is that the concessions tender said we could go in with our containers and then the manager came and tracked us down in our seats and harassed us until we gave up our water glasses. This was in front of my boys and it was highly embarrassing. Further harassment continued when the concession tender checked on us four times during the movie. Yes four times! How despicable. I can see checking the first time just for compliance. But four times? What the heck? This is just too rigid. What kind of world do we live in where common sense doesn't prevail!? With only eight people in the theater you think you could be nice to the ones who actually are there! read more

Went here to see Star Wars Rogue One and was totally disappointed. First thing I have to mention is that the newly installed seats(at least in showing room #1) are COMPLETELY AWFUL. Their older seats were far more comfortable. The new ones are much too firm and create bad pressure points on your back. Also, they are mounted incorrectly and actually lean a little forward, to the point where you have to brace your feet against the row in front of you to stay seated. You feel like you are constantly slipping forward. The head rests are also far too firm and large so when you rest your head on them in the poorly mounted seats, you're stuck looking downward with your neck arched forward. You also can't recline them, because the spring tension is set way too high. I spent the entire time shifting around trying to find a comfortable position that didn't cause back and neck pain. The Roger's in Steven's Point has the same seats but mounted properly. Even with questionable cushioning, they are far more comfortable because you can at least relax and not feel like you're gonna fall out. I left the theater with a stiff neck and sore back, and I do not normally suffer from back problems. It was so bad that I actually had a hard time paying attention to the movie. This needs to be addressed ASAP. Either the rows need a riser under the front legs to lean them back, or the seats themselves need to be rotated back. Literally the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. Again, the older seats they had when I saw Episode VII, were far better. Second thing is the actual quality of the projection display was bad at best. It was like the projection lamp was dimmed or burning out. The image had screwed up contrast and brightness and was WAY too dark. It felt like somebody put a shade over the entire picture. I have seen other films here including other Star Wars films, and it was nowhere near this bad. Projection will never produce a perfect display for many reasons, but something was definitely wrong this time around. Really hampered the viewing experience when I couldn't even tell what was happening in dark scenes. Extremely disappointed by this. This theater is capable of FAR better image quality. Roger's has never had the best or most expensive equipment, but they usually give a pretty decent showing of the film. This time around was very weak. Would be curious to see if the other showing rooms are this bad and if the seating was changed throughout the building. I will be using the branch in Steven's Point for any further movie releases until I hear this one has improved. Service was okay and the girls working there were friendly. read more
