Last week everything was great but when we attended a movie on Monday it was a total different experience. The popcorn was incredibly stale. I really wonder if we had Sunday's popcorn on Monday. I am disabled and used the handicapped stall. It was flooded with water. That's incredibly dangerous for a disabled person. A wet floor sign is hardly going to help the disabled. High ticket prices. Service fee of $9.95 for online orders. Outrageously concessions Stale premade popcorn No fountain drink machines. Ticket booths not open, so you have to go in and hope an employee notices you. Parking lot spaces are way too close together. read more

Concessions not that impressive. Soft drinks are watered down. They ask for premium price I should get a premium product. I don't know if they had the heat on because we were all freezing and couldn't wait for the movie to end so we could get out of there. As we left a lot of people were standing in line with blankets. If people need to bring in blankets there is something wrong. They should close down and not open until the heating system is fixed. Not a good experience at all. Save your money and go the Cosmo in Merrill, it's half the price and you don't need to bring a blanket. This site won't let me do less than 1 star. read more

What can I say, the cost of ordering tickets online is a joke. $10.70 per adult....AND a service fee of $9.95? If by chance you need to cancel your tickets within the time frame they give movie goers, they keep it! The best part is online they don't tell you that they are renovating their drink vending machines- so you unexpectedly get a Bottled soda for $6.75 EACH!!!! No additional "refill" bottles to compensate you either. This place is so money hungry, do yourself a favor. Just wait until the movie comes out at home, and save money. I mean the popcorn is NEVER hot anymore & sits pre-made in garbage bags. I cannot believe the health dept isn't on them about it.....yet. read more

Update number 3! I see improvement! I am very happy to update my review with an extra star because I have seen improvement. All "back" theaters now have much improved, comfortable seats! Things have been cleaner the last few times I have been here and it is appreciated. Movie tickets are not cheep so it's nice to see some revenue spent to improve the experience. read more

Theater is expensive for everything. Popcorn IS ALWAYS STALE & BARELY WARM.... just how many days ahead do you make this crap? The popcorn used to be a treat, now it's a disgrace that makes me feel ripped off royally. The cups for soda don't fair much better- cheap cups that practically collapse when you grab it & the top wants to pop off. Employees for the most part who run the lights & sound FAIL at what they do. There are boring ads that are put at a sound level that almost blows your ear drums. Ads aside, which I get you need some- then there's the point when the movie previews start- for the past couple of years the employee LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON & you can't even barely see, or enjoy them. I don't get it- you are trying to promote additional movies to the viewers & the lights are so bright they cast a glare. I was so irritated at my last visit that I had to talk to a male employee that looks like he was a night supervisor that looks at you like he can't comprehend why it's an issue. Plays dumb all the way- but I know when I'm being manipulated & played. Then there is no monitoring over theatres once so ever by employees to keep other customers QUIET who like to chit chat throughout a movie , and who are rude and oblivious that others would like to ENJOY THE MOVIE by being able to hear it, and not some never ending conversation. This could have been deterred had ANY of your employees done even the basic walk around like I've seen done in years past. Like it's not hard to work at a theater& please movie goers if you take even the basic care. Then there are your hallways that smell musty, like the carpets need cleaning. My cup holder needed cleaning as well...spilled soda in it from a previous customer- prob because your cheap white cups SUCK. For almost $17 a ticket, I expect a better experience, or we might as well stay home & wait for the movie to come out of the theatre. Lastly, why on God's green Earth is there not a marque anymore out by Culver's that used to tell what movies were playing? The signage you have now is useless & I no longer will bother to drive up to the front of your building to see if anyone has bothered to do a good job of listing the times & adding posters. There is no consistency there once so ever. This could be a pleasant experience, you could have gotten a raving good review- but this theater is not what it once was. The only plus really that has changed for the better is your seating & also that they have numbers on them so no one can really movie jump anymore & ruin your experience by walking in late & blocking the screen. It's time to start caring...otherwise I for one am done if it happens again. DO BETTER. read more

Marcus theaters and cedar creek cinema had been a part of my family bonding and childhood. I have long understood the price entailed with going to the movies. Currently I am in the theater to see the new fantastic beasts movie. It has yet to start and I've had a poor experience already. I was able to pay with my American Express for the movie ticket however American Express is not accepted for concessions. This change was never relayed to customers. Marcus, you're big enough to accept Amex. Unfortunately I did not have another payment method on me and will have to enjoy the film without food or beverage. On another note I would like to point out that tonight 12/7/2018 your employee Taylor cut her finger while scooping popcorn with her right hand. She band aided her finger and continued to scoop bucket after bucket without discarding the batch and cleaning the popcorn maker. Nor did she alert management that this had happened. This is a health code violation and employees need to know what to do in cases such as this. A number of your patrons now just ate the tainted popcorn. I have come to expect better than this from Cedar Creek Cinema. read more

The customer service here is horrible! I was being helped by a manager and they did not have much patience with me or the other staff members are there. Not only was I given with soggy popcorn but when I went to fill up my soda I realized there was tape on the wall holding together wall paper the was covered in mold. After I saw that I went to the other soda machine which was a lot better and I went to my theater (6) I think. But there was mold covering that wall too! How could you ever feel safe sitting near that for 1-2 hours breathing in god knows what? I felt bad for the employees that waited near the theater doors because they probably get the most exposure from the wall. 0/10 RISKING your life to go there is not worth it. With the recent update of all the theaters, the new movie viewing experience is exceptional. From soft reclining seats to friendly staff, Cesar Creek Cinema is a great place to spend an afternoon. I recently saw Jumanji 2. It was good. I had not seen the first Jumanji, but I was still able to follow along. I went with a good friend, and we both had a blast. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is willing to pay a bit for a fine experience!! read more

Cedar Creek Cinema is one of the biggest theatres in the area. They always have a wide variety of movies; something for children, teens and adults. Ticket prices are standard for the industry, as if the snack prices. The staff is generally young but friendly and knowledgable. read more

Long lines to get in. Use the fast track kiosk if you can. They NEVER have enough people working the food area. You have yo try and be 20 minutes early just to get through lines and that's even cutting it close. And we've now had it happen twice where the person working out line has just walked away. No idea why, just suddenly they are gone and do not return. The theaters them self suck outside of two of the updated ones. The seats are unbearable after 20-30 minutes. The screens that aren't updated lack the ability to run 3D as good as they should be. Pretty much we just don't come here anymore. We'll drive an hour plus or just wait for it to come out. They need a serious update in the place... and with being the only option they should be able to afford it. They also need an update on employees. read more

After 6 months of being away from the theater, our first night back, we spend $60 on 3 of us to enjoy a brand new movie that just released, only to have our experience ruined by unruly fellow moviegoers and unreliable staff. We tried to report the unruly moviegoers to a "manager" girl with short hair and glasses --she said she would take care of it and yet no staff ever came in to deal with them. It was only until 10 minutes later we walked out of the movie (a second time) to complain about the unruly people and the same "manager" was rude to me but finally contacted someone to go and deal with the problem. We won't be back. I hope someone addresses this with the staff. I believe the people watching the movie were friends with the staff or maybe even employees. read more

We bought 4 tickets 2 hours in advance for a showing of IT. We walked into the theatre 15 min before the showing was scheduled for and the theatre was overflowing with people sitting on the floors and sitting on the steps. The ushers came in to kick out the people who were not in seats, leaving all the chairs still full, except for 5 separate seats. Many other customers, like us, waited a lengthy amount of times standing outside the theatre just to walk inside and discover the lack of seats. 2 stars instead of one, because they refunded us. Seats are extremely uncomfortable and they have a very limited staff manning the concession stand and ticket sales booth, even on Friday nights. It's amazing that this is the only movie theatre left in Wausau, there used to be three. Thankfully we don't live here... read more

concession prices are unreasonable ( as in most theaters) not enough staff behind concession counter, wait time for popcorn was way too long! drinks area was sticky and needs to get more attention throughout the night. Sound quality was good, screen was good, seats are uncomfortable, they need seat like southern theaters! They always have a great variety of movies which is awesome! However they do not man obnoxious guests well, some knob job brought a young infant to a evening show and the poor innocent sweetheart cried a lot (probably scared in dark with loud sounds (GET A SITTER!!) this should of been addressed as it was highly annoying. Not a bad experience to this day. Friendly staff, all around that truly care about the well being of the theatre and the customers. The theaters are clean, even on a busy day. Everything looks well. Not a complaint to make, aside from the seats being a little unconformable at times and the prices being high, but that is expected at any movie theatre. An awesome place to go. read more

Employees are bored and uninterested. They frequently walk away from the vending stand when there is a line. Box office employees don't know common actors if you say "what was that movie with _____." The theaters are small with uncomfortable seating. They don't close the doors of the theaters and the light hits the screens. This is a last choice theater for me, I'd much rather drive the hour to Appleton. read more
