I'd last been to Rogers as a teen, but I didn't know what to expect decades later, especially after a standard of literal Hollywood-quality experiences. The Wis. Rapids Rogers is a bemusing little theatre - no frills, not even a marquee, but there's a set of wing chairs to fancy up your wait if it's too early to enter your cinema. The workers were, unsurprisingly, gum-cracking teens, who were polite and efficient. The place was clean. There's a tiny parking lot, and plenty more parking on the side streets, all free. The cinema itself was larger than I expected, with fairly comfortable seats. Sound and picture quality were fine. Happy to report that this Rogers is a well-maintained, serviceable movie theatre.

The screen is the smallest movie theatre screen I've ever seen, floors were falling a part, lots of seats broken. And we got in the theatre right after it was "cleaned" and it still had popcorn all over and an entire box of twirlers on the floor. Just disgusting. It is just sad that a beloved theatre with so much history has become "run down" and not very professionally run. You definitely don't need to be a industry professional to run a movie theatre, but I feel that it should be run in a professional manner, and it did not appear to be.

The theaters are always clean and comfortable--even the smaller ones to the side. If another guest is rude, the situation is taken care of right away. If you get the chance to see a movie in the main theater, do it. The balcony seating adds a great touch to any movie experience there. Don't miss out!
