Me & my brother visit Marshfield once every year & usually check out a movie at Rogers cinema. It's a nostalgic place. I believe the only theater in Marshfield but, the city of Marshfield needs to invest some money to upgrade the seats and carpet to keep Rogers alive. We were in the upstairs theater yesterday & it was filthy. There needs to be a cleaning crew before or after hours. Every seat was stained, ripped up, & the floors were sticky, covered with popcorn & candy. I enjoy going there but cleaning management needs to improve. read more

Old time cinema with small screens. Somehow fits 7 theaters into this building! The movie I went to see was upstairs! At least it was clean, friendly and had comfortable seating. The upstairs cinema has elevated seating with a row in the middle that has lots of leg room. 6'4" and really appreciate the space! Popcorn was good. I kind of thought that the ticket prices would be a little lower due to small screens and lack of quality sound system. But only game in town can set their own prices I guess. Thankful that there was a place to see a movie while I am in Marshfield all other theaters are a half hour away. read more

Rogers Cinema 7 - Small "upstairs" theater! - Cinema Near Me - Marshfield, Wisconsin

My family has lived in Marshfield for 22 years. Rogers Cinema is the only theater in a very small town. There are two mega screens, and several smaller theaters for less popular films. They have installed new, very comfortable seats. Of course you can't bring in your own drinks or snacks, that is an industry standard. This theater is always clean and the staff always welcoming. If you can't afford the standard price, go to $5 ticket night on Tuesdays. Last week, October 2022, the mega screen was sold out. The popcorn is fantastic, and while they don't supply extra bags for you to split it with your family, napkins are free. Thanks for providing a cinema to our lovely small town. read more

My family tried to go to a movie yesterday, but in the end were unable to at your theater because your staff would not allow us to bring in a snack for my nephew. You see, his doctors have him on a strict ketogenic diet to help prevent seizures. We tried explaining this to multiple people (and that we were planning to buy snacks for everyone else in our group), but were told unless we had a doctors note with us they would not allow his snack in. We were shocked. We've never had to provide a doctors note anywhere we've taken him before in order to bring his food- never. To think this is how you treat patrons makes me sad. You didn't stop us from seeing a movie by the way. We drove to Wausau and went to Cedar Creek. They didn't even question us bringing in my nephews snack. We will be going there for all future movies. You've lost our business, and we are spreading the word. For a business located so closely to Marshfield Hospital, we expected more understanding. read more

I read some comments, old ones, complaining about it being old, not clean, etc. I am happy we in Marshfield have a theater that offers so many choices, at various times to accommodate many people. Something I hope they would consider is to turn the volume down in the smaller theaters. Wow, as a Senior and still hear very well, I still had to cover my ears it wasn't healthy. Over all the different prices for matinees, and seniors is favorable, that Big Cinemas in large cities don't offer. One more important point, if we want movies that are good faith based and movies rated for family we should support this type and attend them, to receive more positive uplifting, and entertaining the mind and soul. I grew up a few blocks from Rogers Cinema. It was a Saturday night hang out for my friends and I for years. I still go to movies here when I'm at my parents for breaks. Overall the theater is good, but I do have a few quips. Sometimes it feels like a jail here. In the past I always remember an employee frequently strolling through the theater with a flash light accusing those with their feet on the seat. I understand the importance of wanting to keep their theater clean, but this is the strictest theater I've ever attended. Their concessions aren't bad, but could afford to be a bit cheaper. I love all the seasonings they have for the popcorn. I got hooked on the ranch seasoning because of this theater. Oh, fond memories. read more

I went to the movies with my granddaughter and a friend. We ordered some food ($30 worth) and I asked for a couple of small empty bags so we could share our popcorn without each of us putting our hands in the same popcorn container. They said they couldn't do that. I asked for maybe a small beverage glass (like a small water cup) to put popcorn in. Same answer, they couldn't do that. I asked to speak to the manager. He told me the same thing and said he couldn't do anything, I would have to call corporate. COME ON, a manager can't give out a couple of sharing bags. I know the whole argument about using bags for inventory control but in this time of Covid I would think that they would be ENCOURAGING safe food practices. So much for Rogers Cinema. If you go to these ridiculous theaters be sure to bring your own sharing bags, for me, I will simply skip going to a Rogers Cinema again. read more

Theater seats and carpet need to be upgraded. Cost of snacks is outrageous! Building is really old and is desperate for an upgrade. Smells clean but is dated. Family enjoys the movies here but the cost is just getting to be too much. read more

The Mega Screen is great! The rest of the screens, not so much. The seats are incredibly worn and uncomfortable in Cinema 1, the only other decent sized screen in the olace. The seats are not great in any of the theaters except the Mega. The concessions are the highest price of any there outside of L.A or NYC... but the popcorn is great!!! read more

I absolutely love our theater . . . it's old, but that is so much a part of its charm. It's also clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly and courteous, and we see all of the latest movies. I'll choose Rogers Cinema any day over a modern "cookie-cutter" chain theater! read more
