We spotted this place while driving to Neillsville and decided to pull over. It turned out to be a great place to stretch your legs or spend some time exploring.
The area is very scenic, with well-marked trails that wind through the woods, alongside a small stream, and throughout the property. Whether you're looking for a short walk or a longer hike, there are plenty of options.
The interpretive signs are well done and provide interesting information about the history of Neillsville and its early settlers. Did you know the area was originally settled by Mormon loggers? That was something new to us.
If you're passing through, it's well worth the stop. We were certainly glad we did. read more
