Great movie theatre. Very professional staff/manager at the entrance to guide us, it was our first time there. This theatre is close to us which is great. The establishment was clean and tidy. The workers were efficient and informative, friendly. Our seats were plush and comfortable and purchasing our tickets on line was easy. We enjoy going to the movies regularly. The enhanced sound system at this theater, makes for a great experience. There are two items that concern us, cashiers that are handling. The food are wearing gloves and go back-and-forth from the food items to the cash drawer, constantly with the same gloves on. I will no longer be supporting Marcus theaters. After purchasing a beverage in a plastic bottle at the movies yesterday, I ended up taking the empty bottle home with me to recycle it. Apparently Marcus Family Cinemas are more worried about their bottom line than investing in recycling receptacles in their locations. I asked two employees just to confirm, there are no recycling receptacles in their facilities. I find this to be unacceptable, this planet belongs to all of us as a human race (and the millions of other species that inhabit this planet), and the fact that they probably throw 1000's of lbs. of recyclable items in the garbage every week disgusts me. To make matters worse, they now have any size above a small popcorn in plastic tubs, that gets thrown into the trash. This is supposed to be a family oriented and employee oriented business (so they say before you watch any movie), but yet they not thinking of the generations to come? What about their grandchildren and great grandchildren? I'll wait until the movie comes out on Netflix before supporting a business that doesn't support our environment. read more

Worst movie experience I've ever fucking had. They had someone follow us into a theatre after we had already been watching the movie for 45 minutes and asked to see my little sisters ID, then proceeded to kick us out of the movie after we had already been sitting down and watching it. I am her legal guardian and I bought the ticket for her. it absolute fucking ridiculous that you are going to kick out my sister that is 16 years old when her legal guardian was watching the movie with her. That Ayden boy was disrespectful and he's built like a bambaclaat. He didn't even give me a refund back to my card, he gave me a gift card that i am never going to use. Went in to see Anyone But You, I have seen it before and I didn't get asked for id, we walked in so they can look at our tickets and the one guy asked for our id, we were not 17 but my birthday was in a week, my friend was already 17, and my other friends birthday was in 3 weeks, and having seen the movie before it wasn't anything bad compared to what we have already seen in our lives, so he told us we would have to wait 3 weeks to come see it, the first time they didn't check for id and now they are, very disappointed. read more

This is one fantastic theater. I was a little worried because I thought that I got spoiled in Austin and wouldn't be able to find a high quality theater like this up here but I was blown away by the high quality screen and sound. They offered a lot more food than your typical theater food but they do have typical popcorn, candy, etc. The prices are actually pretty decent for theater food, because the food is actually good. I got their spicy chicken sandwich that came with bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion and tomato and it came with a side of fries. I got a large drink which is your typical "overpriced" drink but its normal theater pricing and it came with one refill. The cup is huge so I didnt need my 2nd refill but if you were with a date then you could probably use both refills. The seats recline and it is amazing. You can be as comfortable as you want to be and probably could bring in a blanket if you wanted. You cant really cuddle with a date because the seats are built like recliners so there is not an armrest to raise up. They also do accept Moviepass which you can look up if you dont know what it is. I am glad I found a theater that is high quality and close to me. I look forward to seeing movies weekly here. read more

This theater is amazing! Fantastic seating. Great screen sizes. And concessions are top shelf. I'm also EXTREMELY GRATEFUL Marcus Theaters limits the size of a bag being carried inside for either a male or female. No one should be carrying in a duffle bag probably full of weapons and claiming it's the sum total of their families crap that needs to be carried around (large purse). I'm grateful for these security checks. Please continue to keep us safe from the whack jobs out there. And to all the ladies complaining about this policy, how would you feel if a male was entering a movie theater carrying a large backpack? You'd probably call the police assuming he was a bad man with bad weapons. Equality means (in this instance) the rules apply equally to ALL. So, get over yourself! I really like this theatre, it's newly renovated and upgraded with the new dream loungers. Right when you walk in you have the option for a quick pay. This is where you select a movie and seat for yourself, this option is a lot faster and easier then the line to get tickets. You then walk into the snack and drink area. They have loads of televisions with the menu on them and the staff is friendly when you walk up. There is also a delicious restaurant that serves burgers and fries. It's really good and pretty fast so you can get into your movie fast. There is a lounge area next to the restaurant that is spacious and easy for you to sit before your movie. The bathrooms are clean and smell great, unlike a lot of theaters. There are also many stalls so you won't have to wait long at all. There are also restrooms on each side of the theatre so it's easy to leave when you need to. There are many signs that show you the movie you're seeing and what seats are taken. When you walk into your movie it is inviting, with the comfy loungers and dimmed lighting. The loungers are super comfy and leave enough room for you and your neighbor so you aren't too close. The arm rests in the middle of the chairs can be lifted if you want more room, which is nice. I love Marcus theaters and will continue to go here. Deals are always great and it is always a great experience. read more

4.5/5. Really strong 4.5 at that. All the things I love: $5 Tuesdays with free popcorn if you are a rewards member. BEER. They serve craft beer. $4 instead of $6 on Tuesdays. Recliners. Man what a great idea so comfortable and so much space! Real food. I did not order but malts, shakes, burgers and it all looked good. You can pre-order your tickets and it is assigned seating. No more waiting in line forever. The only thing I did not like: The bathrooms. Gorgeous facility and I have to flush my own toilet that has seen better days. Not to mention the second stall I used had a sticky note that said "Please push in to flush". I will come back in a heart beat. What a great location for a movie! read more

I took my Aunt tonight to see Top Gun. Mind you we don't go to to many movie's anymore because my Aunt says they are pricey. She purchased to Senior tickets and they cost $21.00. So I told her I can't imagine what regular prices would cost. So I elected to get the popcorn and sodas. Because I can eat a large by myself and my Aunt wanted her own popcorn so not to eat out the same container. We opted to get a large popcorn, a small popcorn, a large drink, and a small drink. So before you say you should have got the combo. That was $21.50 for a large popcorn and two medium drinks. They wouldn't give us another container to share the popcorn. My bill was $31.02. A total of $52.02 to take two senior citizens to a movie!!!! After receiving the Popcorn we went inside the theater. The Popcorn was cold and kernels must have come from the bottom. My butter was cold also. My Aunt said this is the worst popcorn I ever had it's not even hot. She eats hers with no butter. The kernels were from the bottom too and hurt her dentures when chewing. My Aunt asked me not to cause a seen because her girlfriend and her go sometimes on Tuesdays. You can't imagine what I wanted to tell the manager!! A mother and her three daughters sat down in front of myself. I asked her why the children and herself had not purchased any popcorn or drinks. Thinking maybe they ate dinner before the movie. She said the amount she payed to take her children to the movie with popcorn and drinks too. Would be more than half what she makes in a week! Also we heard the music sound track from the other theater in ours too. I may be old school but I'm disgusted a business can get away with these prices. Told the staff I was not happy and did not blame them. The owner of this franchises parents probably never took them to a movie. When they were just a child!! Stay home and watch Netflix! No fun getting mugged for entertainment before sitting down to watch a movie! read more

Two stars because the dream loungers are nice. This would have been a 5 star review if they hadn't started a new process of accosting female patrons about their purse size as they enter. Clearly it's about making sure no one sneaks refreshments in because last time I checked, they make weapons small enough to fit in a handbag. Not to mention mass shooters tend to be male, and I didn't see any male moviegoers getting pat downs prior to entering. I was "lucky" enough to pass inspection but saw several women having to run their large handbags back to their vehicles in the rain. Waste of everyone's time! read more

l see they are selling the 5 dollar snack cash free coupon with a 25 dollar gift card purchase, then in the ad, it states other restrictions may apply, but what it does on state is that you can not use the snack cash on Tuesday which is misleading, it will say it on the snack cash card but it is not in the ad why not?? it is misleading on your companies part,,, you need to do better then this for your customers,,, l bought 5 some time back an only got to use 2 of the 5 which made me feel scammed,,, read more

My big kid Husband woke up one morning and announced that he'd like to watch his favorite childhood heroes on the big screen. He didn't want just any theater but one with Dream Lounge seating and food. He quickly Goggled and ordered matinee tickets. They say theaters that are close to being shut down are being reinvented with better seating and foods that you could bring right in the theater with you. This was most definitely the case for this Marcus Theater. The location was so far from anywhere that we've ventured to in the Appleton area. Tickets were so easy to retrieve from the kiosk. We walked in, were greeted, then off to order ice cream for me and a huge burger with fries for him. The ice cream they serve is Wisconsin's very own The Chocolate Shoppe. The burger was made in front of you along with the fries. Yes they serve alcohol too! If you don't want food, they have popcorn and candy as well. They had plenty of cashiers available so the line wasn't long. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Everything was on the spendy side but for the experience, it was worth it. My Husband ate his brunch in the theater with his legs up, a warm blanket that I brought from home, watched the Power Rangers fight with the hugest smile on his face. We will take more special trips like this again soon. read more

Love this theater and have been here twice since they reopened from covid and the second time we got chicken tenders and they are gross tasted like something you picked up at Sams and heated up. What happened to the tenders from pre covid those where SO GOOD! I won't be eating there again not worth $12 plus the cost of a drink, when they decide to bring back the good tenders than I'll start ordering again. read more

Just went to the theater to see "Tenet" , we have been very careful with going out over the last 5 months so we went on a friday afternoon to avoid crowds...... we were the only two people in the theater, literally. The staff was really nice and they have taken extraordinary measures to mitigate COVID-19. They isolated seating to reduce contact and if you use their app you can buy tickets and order food with no contact. I feel bad for great businesses like Marcus theaters in the current environment, they are clearly hurting and deserve to be around. I suggest going during off periods and helping them out so they can stick around. And.... tenet is a great movie check it out. read more

The ticket prices are pretty decent. In Chicago, it costs at least $10 to see a movie. It was only $15 for two student tickets during the evening. Nice! Obviously, concessions are overpriced, but it's a movie theater, so that is really to be expected. Just bring your own snacks and be sure to hide them in your purse. Once I had snacks still in the plastic bag from the store and I was told I could not bring them in. My solution was to say, "Sorry! I didn't know" and stuffed the candy into my purse. It was super obvious, but the ticket-taker person pretended to not see. I have no real complaints. The bathrooms are clean and you don't get rushed to leave before the credits finish at the end of the movie. This is my go-to Appleton cinema, so I'll definitely return! read more

The new dining area and seating area is very nice. I came here to see Civil War, the dream lounger seats are very nice and comfortable. The assigned seats is nice as well cause you know you can sit together during your movie and don't have to ask people to move down or scrunch together. I like the idea of being able to eat there, as an option I also don't think it is as expensive as I thought it would be when I heard food would be served ($10 for chicken nuggets and fries) For two (1scoop) ice cream comes it was $8. I guess its not too bad, but I cant comment on anything other than the ice cream as that was all we had. I can say, I am not a fan of alcohol being served now. Not that I anticipate people getting annihilated at a movie theatre, but I just don't see that as a great idea. read more

Went for my birthday to see a movie and get some burgers from their new restaurant, The Reel Sizzle! Burgers, fries, milkshakes, beer & wine!!! How exciting! You can take everything in to the theatres, too! Food was good, if a little pricey (shocker), but get there with PLENTY of time until your movie! We order a burger for my husband and myself, and a milkshake and beer. Milkshake and beer arrived almost immediately. Win! Then we watched as literally everyone else got served (though they had all been waiting longer and seemed rather annoy(ed). 35 minutes later we finally got our food, just in time to interrupt the opening credits for our movie. We arrived at the movie 40 minutes prior to its scheduled time, so you'd think we would be in the clear. So! Good food, sure. Worth the wait? Maybe not. read more

Recently saw Secret Life of Pets 2 with my son. The reclining seats are nice and comfy. The popcorn was okay. The bass was so loud it was somewhat unbearable but still enjoyed the movie and seats. It wasn't super cold in this movie theatre either. It was very clean when we went and quite. I don't like that they have kiosk to get tickets right when you walk in. The prices varied from the kiosk to doing it in person. I would go back again. read more

Several kiosks are available to purchase tickets right when you walk in. There is a ticket counter, too, if you prefer some human contact. Everyone is very pleasant. Concessions are numerous, and priced the same as any other movie theater. The new seating is great. Especially since it it assigned. I like having the option of picking my seats in advance. I haven't been to a theatre for so long but decided to go today with my daughter to watch Finding Dory. It's nice to have the kiosks but for someone who just wants someone at the entrance is easier which was too far left on the left. Counter was nice and asked me if I had a rewards but didn't inform me what it was about which if it was suggested I would have considered. Ticket lady didn't tell me which way to go so I just looked for the theatre while standing there figuring if it was left or right. Then the movie - seats I had still had popcorn it, the lights were on until about 15 minutes into the movie. Usually it's turned off during previews or right before the movie starts but not this one????! I saw someone leave after awhile to go tell the Marcus people to do their job. Needless to say, I know why I stayed away for so long. read more
