What an awesome theatre! I saw Disney's The Lion King on 1-26-2025 and this theatre was perfect because anywhere you sit you have close seats to the stage. I had center balcony seats and I had a great view of the entire show. This place is clean, has polite staff, and serves drinks on more than 1 floor. Great place to watch a performance. read more

Bar tender defaulted to a $14 drink in a "commemorative" cup that wasn't asked for, I guess it's "charge as much as you can" unless they say something. Not impressed... show was nice though. read more

First time at the PAC. Not sure if I would go back. The Seats Really Suck. With my RLS, my knees HURT staying bent for such a long period of time. My husband 6'4" tall. SEATS ARE THE WORST. As I write this & th more I think of our $600 night at th pac, I won't be back. My knees still hurt. And then th large man next to me... I had no room. Barely enjoyed th show. Parking was easy, convenient, and (maybe just so happened to be?) free! The staff was all very friendly helpful. And, I was very happy to see they were enforcing masking and vaccination requirements as well to keep everyone safe while still getting to enjoy live theater again! read more

I really enjoy coming to Fox Cities for their broadway shows even though it is a couple hours drive! The venue and location easily beats the Milwaukee Marcus Center. 1. Venue! The most important! This venue is fantastic. It is clean, spacious, and the sound is great! I have not found a weak spot yet and I have been to a handfuls of shows. 2. Street parking! I've never once had to park in the ramp 3. Restaurants, you can easily find a pre show dinner. I love going to Katsuya across the street 4. Affordable beverages, you don't have to worry about paying an arm and a leg for a water or wine 5. Plenty of indoor seating before the show starts. If you came a little early, there are tables and cushioned benches stationed around the venue I highly recommend coming to Fox Cities for a show! If you're from out of town, it is definitely worth the drive for that show you want to see! read more

This theater is in Appleton, Wi! How can I not give it a 5er? I have been to a few shows in NYC, Chicago and Milwaukee. I would take this theater over most of them hands down! Better seats, much newer and far cleaner. Plus easy to park! Sure you might not see a top star here, but I have seen some of the top shows come through. People of East Central Wisconsin should be very thankful (like myself) that we have this venue in our backyard. I really like the ability at stop in the box office and pick my seats. read more

This really is a pretty venue for all types of entertainment. I have been for big productions such as Wicked and small, intimate concerts. The theater feels big and amazing for the big shows and small and personal for the small shows. Really not a bad seat anywhere. For their shows they usually have a "photo opp" area with props, background to match the theme...makes for a fun souvenir as you can take with your own camera! You can only bring water and food items bought at concessions into the theater UNLESS you buy their souvenir cup...then any drink you put in it can be brought inside. The cup is only $3 and can be brought back to any show...so it's really a good deal. Always nice to have a beverage to enjoy the show with! Concession prices really aren't that crazy either...was impressed. read more

I have attended shows in theaters around the country, and the Fox Cities PAC is a surprising gem in a small town that would hold up against the finest halls in the country. The layout is reminiscent of Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, but smaller (2100 vs. 2800). Not only is it an excellent venue, they also manage to draw world-class talent and Broadway shows. I've seen thrilling performances of Wicked, Mamma Mia, West Side Story, and many others. They are also a true community venue, allowing local performers the opportunity to perform on a big stage, including local high school choirs and concerts. Parking is easy to find and there isn't a bad seat in the place. The workers (mostly volunteers, I understand) are helpful and friendly. The ONLY caution I would give, which is true at most theaters, is that if you want to get any concessions or drinks, be prepared to wait in line. They can't serve the number of people that wait in line during an intermission. The smart thing to do is to show up early, order your intermission refreshments before the show starts, and they will have them ready for you when you come out. Waiting in line during intermission is not prudent. read more

I can't believe there is only one other review for this wonderful performing arts center! One of the things that makes Appleton so incredible is having the PAC right here in town. The shows here rival the quality of the shows I've seen in Chicago, New York, and London. I also love that there is a pretty big variety of shows here; there is truly something for anyone. Some shows are geared towards adults, some shows are geared toward children, and some are friendly to everyone. Also, attention students: the PAC has an awesome deal of $20 same day tickets. Just make sure you bring your student ID and cash (no credit or debit cards). read more

Bad experience. Looked forward to this music event. The usher/security felt the need to tell me in the corner on the balcony to put my phone away..?? I paid my for my ticket and was not rude to bother anyone else. I felt like I was being watched the rest of the night. I will not be back!! Unaccomodating staff. All the adult ushers looked like they were school school-aged children. read more

I came to the PAC for the first time a couple of years ago with my mother to see "Mamma Mia". The production was excellent. Last night we returned to the PAC to see Hal Holbrook's "Mark Twain Tonight". The acoustics are superb, the atmosphere professional, and the view of the stage was excellent from the dress circle seats near center. The only problem I had was that the seats are too narrow, forcing one to rub elbows with the person next to you on either side (and no I'm not huge). I had to shift position due to lumbar issues so that did detract slightly from the experience. The folks to my left moved back one row to a bank of empty seats as not to feel crowded in our (full) row. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Parking was not an issue; easy to get a spot in the parking garage right across from the PAC. Getting out again wasn't much harder (just waited a few minutes for the rush to subside). All in all, the PAC is a great venue for performances and events. read more

Saw the Bee Gees review (they were terrific!). The venue is clean, snack bar is OK and the small TV outside of snack seating area was much appreciated; we could see the performance while we sipped our cocktail (nothing but water is allowed in theater area - a reasonable request). I'm giving a two star review because of the rude mask Gestapo. Suggest the venue consider re-training of theater mask security on proper approach; how to give polite reminder to please mask. One mask-security young man actually hopped over two rows of seats, got into the face of a patron and yelled at her to put a mask on (she was dancing and singing to the music in her seat). She was obviously startled/scared by the aggressive confrontation. Other patrons left the venue mid performance due to rude encounters with mask security. I think this could be handled better. The world/venue is keenly aware of the mixed opinions on the topic of masking, should be better prepared to approach guests in a professional and respectful manner. Thanks. I only gave one star because I couldn't make a post without a rating. My family came here to watch my niece graduate only to find NO seating available. We were directed to wait in lobby areas and suggested to watch the graduation on one 43" TV per floor. The customer service was awful. When asking the security about the situation and what accommodations were being made they spoke over the patrons, being rude, dismissive and took no responsibility for the poorly planned event. Family and friends for hundreds of graduates traveled hrs, took off work and made their way to see the event were unable to even hear the event. I can honestly say I won't be attending any future events at this venue. read more

This is a fantastic venue for downtown Appleton. These shows are generally a little pricey, but there usually high quality performances. The last show I saw here was Weird Al Yankovic, and it was fantastic. The sound was dead-on, and there was a big screen on stage that played video clips and a live camera following Weird Al when he was walking into the audience. There must be a couple thousand seats with four different levels. The drinks here are pretty pricey, so I will have couple before the show. One time I did get a drink and I couldn't go in the theater unless I bought some special cup with a lid. I guess they need to treat adults like kids. There's also the Kimberly Theater which is smaller and used for more local events, but still really nice. They have space so you can have your own private parties. Appleton is so lucky to have such a nice venue. read more

My mother had to use one of the PAC's wheelchairs. I called and reserved one, they had it ready at the time we arrived. The staff was so kind to her while I wheeled her around. They directed traffic for her through the busy crowds. I was so impressed with how wonderful everyone was, right down to the valet parking area. I will keep going back and if anyone needs assistance or are handicapped in any way, they are there to help! read more

The theater is fine. But a little cold and lacks character. My main complaint is with the staff. I had to take my kid to the bathroom and one of the staff literally shouted at me for stepping over a seat so i could exit on an empty row and not disturb about 10 people that were seated on the row i was on. I am very disappointed with tonight. I had tickets to the sound of music. This was my first night out since I had a baby 2 months ago. I called a week ahead of time to see if there was a space that I would be able to pump during intermission. I was assured by who I spoke with that there would be a comfortable room for me to go into and It would be put in the system so the house manager would be aware. I approached her during intermission and was very poorly about it. She said very rudely that there was not a space for me. After pleading with her for about 5 minutes she finally showed me to a bathroom where she told me I could pump in there. So my first night out away from my baby I had to pump while sitting on a disgusting bathroom floor with people knocking on the door the whole time. I have tickets to see the bodyguard in January and don't really want to go. Thanks for this PAC, you may have lost a loyal customer. read more

First time at the PAC this weekend; we saw Wicked. While the show tslef was incredible, I am giving this rating because the PAC itself. Wow - not sure who designed that place, but it is highly deficient in terms of restrooms and crowd movement. I have been in theaters around the country, all sizes, and I have never seen such poor flow. The number of bathrooms for the number of people was ridiculous. At least turn one of your men's rooms into women only or have gender neutral bathrooms. I started seeing women using the men's bathrooms as the intermission got closer and closer to ending. Having one main stairway for the entire theater was also seriously problematic. It took us almost a 1/2 hour to get out of the theater after the show ended. The acoustics of the theater were good and the inside of the theater was comfortable, so I can't complain about that part. We hauled up to Appleton because Wicked is my daughter's favorite show, and getting there is certainly quicker and easier than going to Chicago, but we won't be coming back. I would rather drive to Chicago than deal with the insanity that was the bathroom situation and the crowd movement. read more
