If you didn't know it was a church, I guarantee you would walk right past it as there's no big sign saying "Outer Edge." The inside is beautiful and a great space for a couple hundred person concert. The layout of this show was smartly designed. One side was all chairs for folks who wanted to sit, and the other side had some high tables and plenty of space to stand or put on your dancing shoes and shake your booty! I bet for any type of concert, they know how to use the space to make it the best experience for everyone!

This place was incredible. I'm a saxophone player and was doing a performance at UW Oshkosh, when a…read morescrew came out of my instrument. Chris, the repair tech at the location in Appleton, sent me a replacement through a third party. He didn't have my saxophone so he was hoping that the one he sent would be the correct screw--sadly (100% not anyone's fault) it was not correct. But it did screw in far enough to hold the post in place for the duration of the concert, it was a huge deal for me. The next day I was directed by the good people at the Heid Music location in Oshkosh (a beautiful place, with welcoming, and highly competent staff) to take my instrument to the location in Appleton, where Chris was working. The brand of screw that was supposed to fit my instrument wasn't fitting. Chris, with me in the repair room with him, exhaustively went through all the possibilities until he stumbled on a Yamaha screw that fit in my Selmer saxophone. He was engaging, and generous, and clearly had a serious know-how about the instrument (mine) he was working on. I can't recommend Heid Music enough. The stores are beautiful, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have an exhaustive inventory: a good mix of affordable student instruments and high end professional instruments, infinite pianos and string instruments, walls and walls and shelves and shelves of music books. It's just so cool! Please check out Heid Music if you're in Oshkosh or Appleton!

I found it by walking down College Ave and I heard music that I swore was coming from a juke box. Upon further investigation it was LIVE! After finding that out I had to go in. We didn't have to pay the cover because sadly the trio was ending their set soon, but the service was as great as the music that I put in money as an appreciation anyway! I met the owner, he seemed really passionate about bringing in great entertainment to the area which made me realize that I will be stopping by anytime I'm in Appleton. We were there for the brews and tunes so I didn't look for a food menu.
