My wife and I took a one hour tour today ($7. each) and it was well worth the charge. Jacqueline was our guide. She was very knowledgeable about the house, the family, the renovation process, etc. Sometimes it's my impression that guides aren't that knowledgeable; Jacqueline wasn't this way. I thought of the Molly Brown House tour we took in Denver. Very interesting! The carriage house and garden are available for wedding receptions, etc.

She made it very obvious she didn't like a specific customer and didn't even try to hide it. Raising her voice, snapping in an annoyed tone, and creating a scene over something as simple as someone trying to buy that person a drink. Instead of handling it professionally, she acted like the person offering the drink was doing something wrong, which was completely uncalled for. I felt bad for the guy. It honestly felt like we were watching someone push their personal feelings onto customers instead of doing their job. If you don't like a patron, fine--but don't make it everyone else's problem. It created a tense, awkward atmosphere and made the whole place feel hostile. And if this customer is really that terrible to deal with, then handle it the right way--ban him. Don't take it out on other paying customers who are just trying to have a good time. We came in expecting a normal night and left feeling uncomfortable. From all of the reviews it made it sound like we would have a fun and inviting time. It was anything but that.

Love the atmosphere, the drinks, the food, not to mention the great personal service we received. Definitely going back.

The staff was friendly and let us browse the aisles to our hearts content. There is a bathroom inside but you need to ask for a key to use it. A "bonus" of this place is it is located to a handy map of the downtown area and neat photo ops like the red London Telephone booth at the end of the block. Masks are required inside the store and staff wore masks as well.
