I recently had the pleasure of dining at Annamarie's on Main at 339 West Main Street in Birdsboro,…read morePA, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! This spot manages to deliver a truly upscale, urban dining experience in a charming, small-town setting--it's a real gem that you have to check out! I ordered the fish and chips entree, and was honestly shocked by how generous the portions were. Served on a bed of french fries, the dish included not only the fish, but also about a half-dozen good-sized battered and fried shrimp, plus a hearty serving of clam strips. It was almost a meal for two! The plate was well-presented, and everything tasted fresh. The small house salad with blue cheese dressing that came with it was also a refreshing addition. If you're looking for value and flavor, this place delivers! What truly sets Annamarie's apart is the level of detail they put into the dining environment. The ambiance is wonderful--it feels both professional and warm. They feature cloth table cloths and real fabric napkins, which is a rare and welcome touch these days, along with quality tableware that has a nice heft to it. The walls are decorated with museum or gallery-quality black and white photography of local facades, which adds a lot of character and local flair. The entire presentation of the diner was flawless, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Another unique feature I loved was their offering of locally made Kodiak brand soft drinks! Our server was truly excellent--both attentive and incredibly helpful. She offered the daily specials and took the time to explain each dish. My dinner partner was having trouble deciding between three different entrees, and our server patiently helped her talk through the options and make a perfect choice. The entire staff was professional and clearly cared about the dining experience. I can enthusiastically say that I absolutely recommend Annamarie's on Main! If you're looking for a upscale dining experience in the Essex Township area, you really have to give these folks a try. The menu is unique and spans everything from salads and seafood to steaks, burgers, and wings. I definitely plan to return, and soon, so I can work my way through more of their truly unique menu offerings!

Cookie Review Only…read more Pre-package cookies - before you go ugh I don't think so, think about how long they've been around, most grocery stores dedicate an entire aisle to cookies in just about any variety you can imagine. There are also plenty of startup companies that have established there place in the markets; Grandma's, Famous Amos, Mrs. Field and the list goes on and on the fore mentioned brands aren't a bad option and I guest could be considered premium cookies when compared to those prepackaged by elves and the most famous chocolate chip cookies who's mascot was a live-action superhero named Mort Meek, the odds that you haven't eaten these are practically zero. It seems all those cookies incorporated the famous chocolate morsel back in the day and most are created through engineered processes that have been totally automated and requires very little human intervention except of course the FQS departments who conducts the shelf life studies to ensure they can sit in the warehouses and grocery store shelves much longer the the cookies you mom created at home. Well let me reassure you all pre-packaged cookies aren't created equal - Sweet Street has seemed to have found a niche and probably stands alone for the most part at least until the next entrepreneur trumps them. I doubt if most consumers know what goes into the majority of the mechanically engineered cookies we have been eating for decades and although labeling has gotten so much better unless your a chemist you probably don't know what the ingredients are - I love the fact that Sweet Street has explained things - real butter dough - cage free eggs - non GMO's - no artificial additives it seems pretty simple to me and believe me the quality shows, they are big enough to share and are filled with big chunks of sustainable chocolate. Honestly l would buy these again but I highly recommend a quart of your favorite ice cold milk be it dairy or plant based...

We were visiting from Philadelphia and we found out…read morethat this diner had been featured on an America's Best Restaurants TV Episode, and we were impressed. I obviously can't speak for my family and what they ordered, but I got the chopped steak with Mac and cheese and needless to say it was nothing short of awesome. It was perfectly done, and the salad bar did not disappoint either. Getting back to Maddie, I had told her that I had intended on seeing the Union Pacific Big Boy when it came to town, and she immediately took interest in my love of trains. I told her about my YouTube channel, and I think it's safe to say that I picked another subscriber. I told her that my channel focuses primarily on trai s and elevators hence its name and when she told me she was an elevator enthusiast too, I was at a loss for words. I said "YOU'RE AN ELEVATOR ENTHUSIAST, TOO?!" I simply couldn't believe my ears. Give Maddie the Employee Of The Month award IMMEDIATELY! In conclusion, when in Berks County, eat dinner here. You won't be disappointed.

At first our waitress seemed stressed/irritated and short tempered because we had literally just been seated and not had an opportunity to open our menus to even know what kinds of drinks were offered. (Please note we have someone in our party who has significant dietary restrictions.) She seemed to soften a bit as the time went on. One person in our party got wings off the salad bar which had feather roots still intact, indicating poor quality control. The rest of the soup/salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The facility was clean that we could see, with the exception of one of the individuals in our party received a menu that the pages literally stuck together and she had to peel them apart. (Thank God for hand sanitizer.) While the experience wasn't bad altogether, it didn't inspire us to become repeat customers either. It was just average. Perhaps we will return in the future and hopefully we'll have an opportunity to increase the stars in that future review.

The menu selections all sound incredible that it was difficult to choose. I wound up choosing the Mediterranean Omelette and was quite surprised by its massive size! It was so big that I was thankful for the available take home boxes. It could easily feed two people! (I didn't take food pictures because I was there for a work brunch.) The prices were very reasonable for what you get and the portions. The lack of 1 star was due to the lack of direction when you entered the store. All of us weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. There was confusion if someone was supposed to take your order or you were supposed to order at the counter since all the tables were equipped with menus and staff were delivering food to tables. The seating was limited. I would not recommend it for larger parties of more than 5/6. It's more comfortable and accommodating to parties of 4 or less. Cute decor included paintings from local artists for purchase at reasonable prices. Clean and well maintained facilities. I'd definitely recommend and also plan to revisit in the future.
