Solid clean motel. Nothing special but they had good service. Very nice people. We wouldn't have any issues coming back here.

Kind and fast service. Inexpensive. Nothing fancy and a bit dated furnishings, but have stayed a couple times and it was clean and cheap.

It was much more money. I figured I'd get a better rate because my husband was a disabled. I went to the actual website for the hotel itself in Springfield and the people that answer the phone and I don't remember her name right now, but she was amazing so helpful. Help me get straightened out help me to rebook the reservation, but then now is fast forward to yesterday. I came into the hotel. I was greeted very nicely by this beautiful smell in the hallway Like a pine tree Christmas tree good thing which I didn't know was an air freshener I thought at first was the Christmas tree in the hallway.. The girl at the front desk, Emily she was just filling in for her mother, which I didn't know that at first, but she was very professional very outgoing greet you. Good evening welcome when you come in the door explain who I was what I needed she ends up being able to give me a room like two doors from the actual entrance at the back at the handicap entrance. So my John didn't have to walk too far since you don't been sitting for almost 3 hours in the car to get here. It was tough so then we got the wrong. I got settled came down and asked her several questions she had no problem the girl that was doing the cleanup she her name was Donna. She was working and it was her birthday like hello don't even take your birthday off wow I then talk with her for a bit to explain some things about the hotel. Everything is fresh clean bright it's beautiful. I'm sure it looks just as good when it's not decorated for Christmas as it does today it's all decorated people, Christmas, decorations and trees and bows and this fake present under the tree. Everything was just amazing so far so now I'm having breakfast and I got to sleep late for the first time, I can't say how long but breakfast has it starts off with a waffle station then it has four different kinds of fresh juice then it has a cooler that has chocolate milk in it. It has fresh yogurt, cottage cheese, boiled eggs, regular sticks of cheese then they have cold cereal. They have hot cereal. They have fresh yogurt that you can make buffets with they have things and stuff they have three kinds of fresh fruit. They have a bread station that has bagels and English muffins and toast in it with peanut butter and jelly butter Have a microwave for heating. Then their hot station has bacon and sausage, and it also has cheese omelettes and scrambled eggs this morning if two kinds of fresh coffee, hot water for coconut tea. I mean, if you can't find something for breakfast here to eat then you have a problem I had a fresh buttermilk waffle with bacon. Everything looks delicious. Looks amazing fresh I mean this has been absolutely my number one experience in hotel and the best Western of all the times I've stayed I really enjoyed this one if they were all cookie cutter, I would be doing great. I think at one time we did stay at one of the one in Pennsylvania, and that was fantastic as well, but it's nice. You can go more than one and more than one state and it's just the same. I will definitely be back here again up here for a friendly family party tonight, but we're staying till tomorrow so we can have a real short brief vacation and get some sleep without eating anyways and being bothered and stuff. it's also literally a stone stove from the highway exit you cannot go wrong by coming off and using this as a rest stop is definitely something you should come to check out is not till 12 so I mean you have no excuse not to lay in bed. Take your time get some breakfast go back and relax and everything is just top-notch here. Also forgot to put up top all the employees address so professional in the beautiful royal blue best western shirts, nice pair of black pants and sneakers also into a swimming pool, which I'm sure we won't get time to use this time as we're getting super late last night and my husband was very tired and pain and today we have the party, but I will definitely come back and try the pool next time

We…read morepicked the Grafton Inn since the reviews were good, the menu was interesting and the prices reasonable, plus they were open on weeknights. Reservations are easy to make online. Getting there proved a bit challenging when Google Maps routed us on State Route 121 which has some unpaved sections; luckily going back was easier using Route 35 to Route 11. Arriving at Grafton the first impression was of a classic New England Inn with a welcoming glow on a cold winter night. Entering through the B&B lobby had a great warm and comfortable feeling. The feeling of history is reflected in sign over the front desk showing the many prominent guests who have stayed over the years. The restaurant is classy, burgundy-colored walls with white trim and classic fixtures; a wonderful upscale dining room without being stuffy. They even had live music with a guitarist playing soft rock. Our server was very nice, professional and attentive. The menu combines classics and some interesting touches, I ordered the Bouillabaisse and my friend ordered the Caesar Salad and Chicken Wings. Our food came out quickly. The Caesar salad was huge, the wings were tasty and a generous portion. My Bouillabaisse was excellent a nice tomato and fennel broth loaded expertly prepared scallops, shrimp, mussels and a large fish fillet. The highlight were the large sweet perfectly seared scallops, but all of the seafood were delicious. For me this was a Pescetarian dream dish. We were persuaded to order dessert my friend got the Apple Pie and I got the Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. Both desserts were sweet and satisfying, a great way to end a wonderful meal. I would strongly recommend having dinner at the Grafton Inn, the food, service and atmosphere are great, prices are reasonable for what you get. This was a perfect way to top off our ski trip with a superior culinary experience.

This was not comfortable. Many tables were occupied so we couldn't move to another table. Food: The menu is somewhat limited. Since there is only one kitchen, they use the same menu for both the 1801 tavern and the connected PhelpsBarn. That's not a bad thing but it just depends on whether you are looking to Dine or Eat. Chicken Wings app was good, not great. Give it a 7. I ordered the $40 filet mignon. I asked for MEDIUM RARE with emphasis on medium rare. It came out medium then the residual heat made it close to medium well. Disappointing. The waitress (Joann and trainer Hannah) asked how I liked the filet. I gave an honest answer that I was disappointed in the meal. I give honest opions since this is the feedback they need to make improvements where necessary. I did not ask, but Joann took the filet off the bill. My wife got the lamb chops. The two large chops were very good. Cooked perfectly. Their salads are quite good. Their Caesar salad is beautiful and plentiful. They do have a semi limited stocked bar in the tavern. Mostly average stuff. I did find and bought Remy Martin Cognac for my digestif. The food wait staff are all very helpful and pleasant. Joann and Megan are very very nice. Nice active fireplace in the sitting room. Our Presidential suite was quite clean and comfortable. Breakfast dining area was cool. Most folks were wearing heavy sweaters or jackets. Really!! Robbie at the front desk is nice and helpful. Angela is the innkeeper and runs a tight ship. I think we caught the 1801 food preparers on an off night. This, in no way, will change our opinion of this charming Inn. We will return.

(which the Inn certainly delivered) But now...I can't stop thinking about the powerful reality of farm-to-table living and Jackie's insistence that we finally pick up and read The Omnivore's Dilemma on the nightstand in every guest room. The many awards and accolades this place continuously receives year after year speaks for itself. Let me tell you about our experience: We booked the Mustard Room and since Jackie had other rooms available, she upgraded us to stay in the Rose Room. Bonus. The bed was fit for a king and after a long drive we snoozed until the wee hours enjoying pure luxury. If only we could have spent more time exploring the rooms which were decorated with rich detail. Have fun playing board games in the front room or pick up a cozy book in the library room. The bathroom feels like a spa and the sunroom is where you need to spend your time. Better yet...get outside and explore the grounds! Learn how to build your own compost, collect eggs, pick vegetables, play with the animals and so much more. Lola just comes out and gives lots of love :) The 3-course candlelight breakfast was delicious! On how many occasions have you enjoyed a beautiful flower with your meal as you chat with the cook about how many more blooms you should eat for a balanced meal? My first popover was steamy and tasty. Too bad I filled up on the complimentary cookies in the pantry that I couldn't eat more. But you know what? These cookies were the number one recipe in town. No, really. They won the local contest for best cookie. I think I ate like 10 cookies in one hour. You have to stock up on the town's NUMBER ONE cookie!! No shame! But the food really is incredible. All straight from the farm. All organic, all sustainable. The partnership with local farms and shops is inspiring. Jackie gave us great tips on things to do in town and the best way to enjoy hot cocoa at Burdick's. (half and half). Probably the best tips she gave us were life-changing and inspiring for our future farm to table efforts. One day, Jackie! One day! You really need to stay here and taken an apprenticeship on sustainable farming. I still find myself wondering how much Coco and Lola have grown (friendliest goats in the world). The Inn really did change my life.

Parking is BEHIND the building - there is some handicapped parking- and then a parking garage shared with a bank. It was kind of a pain with our suitcases since the parking garage has no elevator. Next time we know to go unload first before parking- they will also give you a hang tag to show you are allowed to park in the garage. Our room was peculiar because it was an interior room with a view of.... the roof. Hahahahaah, I guess we were lucky to have even had windows! The check- in desk is at the front of the hotel and VERY small, but I guess it does the job. The woman working coincidentally had lived in our town in Texas, she was very friendly and we chatted with her for a bit. It's located very centralized to the other things on the main street in downtown, easy to walk pretty much everywhere. And there is a cute gazebo (think gilmore girls) right there too. The room itself was spacious, and the bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom was pretty cute, it felt kinda vintage. Breakfast was decent in the morning. Overall- I would stay here again.
