This is my favorite neighborhood ramen place. The ramen's consistently delicious and the staff are always friendly & accommodating. I usually get the spicy tonkatsu (sub fried tofu), level 3-4 but last night I wanted to have a taste of their spicy miso broth (new on their menu), so I'll know if I like it for next time. Not only was I denied, I could hear the owner rudely tell his staff "they don't do that!" Anyway, a little more kindness on his part, even in the rejection, would've gone a long way. I have tried several ramen spots here in the valley and I can honestly say there is no competition when it comes to Rococo. I love their ramen so much its just so perfect and they give you a good serving I'm so full after eating here. I usually do take out but I have eaten here before, service was a little slow for eating there but I can understand due to there was only 2 waiters. I entered this establishment and was rudely greeted once I was about to get seated I asked if I could have a larger table the "2 person table" is so small I was going to purchase 2 ramens and pork buns and appetizers so a small table would be cramped most tables were empty there was a large table with a couple and a very small infant in a stroller I asked the male server if we can sit at the larger table he said no I asked why he said it's reserved for larger dining groups I said that table has 2 people and a newborn he said that newborn is a human I won't argue with that but the infant isn't eating more than we are! My favorite ramen spot in the San Fernando Valley! Hands down it's so good. My favorite is spicy tonkotsu. Decadent and flavorful broth, the best chachu and great noodles. Can't miss! The pork buns and karage are really good appetizers. Parking is available though it's a busy shopping center. The location is small so when their peak periods hit, the wait time can be very long but I've stayed waiting, which tells you how good it is. Have brought many friends and family here and they have all left satisfied with the experience. Will be coming for more ramen. read more

i had the vegan ramen: the highlight is definitely the fried tofu, it was crispy and seasoned well! i enjoyed the veggie toppings, and the noodles were perfect! i wish the broth was creamier, it was more water-based, but i got it spice level 5 and it was decently spicy! i also enjoyed the milk tea :) parking was easy to find, wish the seating situation was better though. seats weren't very comfortable and mostly bar seating was available. overall, the price (~$18) was pretty steep for a bowl of ramen, not sure if i'll come again. read more

Wanted to try a new ramen spot. This place did not disappoint, I like it so much I now order ramen to go from here. Beware the spicy levels.

It was my first time trying this place out based on a friend's recommendation. If you go through my check-ins and reviews you'll notice I love ramen. Rococo has been in my neck of the woods for a fee years now but I never really tried it out. Today I decided to try their Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen ($12.95). I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of their broth. It was thick, creamy and had this unique nutty taste that I've never tasted in tonkotsu broth before. I mentioned to my friend that I thought it was a bit reminiscent of peanut butter and she said she couldn't untaste it after I said it. I called to make sure they didn't use peanut in the broth for my loved ones with peanut allergies. I'm assuming it's thanks to some sort of sesame paste or something similar. I was a big fan, the broth itself had complexity that I haven't found elsewhere. Tasted nontraditional, but still delicious. Rococo also uses thinner noodles than you'd find at most ramen shops. I liked the texture personally but I also found that I ate through the noodles quite quickly because of this. The chashu was delicious, it honestly tasted a little bit more like fried pork belly vs the usual braised/broiled chashu at most places but it still melts in your mouth like a dream. Lastly, the reason I took off a star. For the price of the ramen at Rococo I really wish they had more toppings. The price is not too different from ramen you would get at say Jinya or Tatsu but the portion is much smaller with hardly any toppings you don't really even notice they're there. I would come back again if I had to pick a spot within the area because they do produce quality ramen here, but if I had some more time and gas money (lol) I'd make the drive out to another ramen spot for bigger portions for the same price. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I love the food, but the service is horrid and worsening. For example, I called the restaurant this evening for 30-60 minutes BEFORE they closed and was told my order would not be taken because they were backed up and staff. For example, they constantly leave the phone off the hook so customers get the busy tone. This is the thing - if you can't be open and serve the customers, then why continue? It's a disservice to the community trying to invest in your business. I get that stuff happens, but this is constant now, and I'm Done! Report to the BBB as well. Such a delicious little hole in the wall restaurant! So happy I stumbled upon this cute little place. Don't let the plaza fool you, even if it's located in a very awkward spot on a busy street, be sure to stop by here if you can! Lots of free parking outside so it shouldn't be a problem This is a very good ramen joint and definitely does hit the spot. I would say it is not as delicious and scrumptious as some places that I have been to deeper in downtown la, but I would say that Rococo is delicious for a valley pick/if you're in the SFV area and need that ramen fix! They have a lot of different flavors to choose from, as well as different types of chase bowls and other delicious sides like bao buns too! I hightly recommend the spicy tonkatsu ramen. You can choose your level of spice and I think level 1 is perfectly enjoyable without engulfing 100 cups of water, definitely try it out if you're looking for a good kick! read more

Solid ramen in the valley (that is, if you cannot make it to Daikokuya in Little Tokyo or West L.A. area). We have been here a few times and it's always better to eat in versus taking to go. It is not the same taste when bringing it home and reheating the broth (the noodles get gummy). We have ordered the chasu bun (good but not very big; literally a small two-biter), karaage chicken (light and crispy), tonkatsu or spicy tonkatsu ramen (or go-to) , shoyu ramen, chicken ramen (for those who don't eat pork or pork broth) and chasu bowl. Pork belly in tonkatsu ramen and chasu bowl was tender and broth were rich and flavorful. Ramen bowls were not huge portions but perfect amount for 1 person; prices were decent for the quality you get. Side note: if you plan to order ramen to go, they will not put any of the toppings on the side (for example, my daughter doesn't like certain toppings in the chicken ramen so I asked for the toppings on the side, instead of on top of the noodles), which I thought was not a hard request. We ended up just ordering a side of noodles and chicken broth, which was $10, which was a bit pricey for extra noodles and broth, IMO (she just had wisdom tooth extraction so was only able to eat soft noodles and broth) . read more

I have to say that I never expected to find a ramen spot this deep in the valley that I love so much, but Rococo proved me wrong! I am pretty obsessed with ramen and have tried so many shops all over LA and this place really competes. I've gotten delivery from Rococo maybe 10-12 times since quarantine started and picked up once. I always get the same order (chicken paitan ramen, white rice, and tofu buns) and it's always amazing. It's enough food that I eat 3/4 the broth and all the noodles as one meal and then the buns and remaining broth with the rice for another meal. The broth is thick and super flavorful and the buns have perfectly crispy tofu with incredible sauce on them. Literally my only complaint is that ONE time my noodles were overcooked and mushy but hey, we all make mistakes! read more
