My derp face during the tutorial
    Elizabeth C.

I took a trip back to Denver to visit friends and family over Labor Day weekend. My father-in-law surprised us with tickets for a two hour Segway tour through Denver, and it sounded like so much fun! You meet at the visitor center at 16th and California where you will get an individual tutorial on how to ride the Segway before heading off on the tour. I'm so glad they did the tutorial one person at a time, so give us a chance to get really comfortable on the Segway before we committed to two hours of zipping around the town. Our tour guys did a great job breaking down how to safely operate the Segway and I immediately was comfortable and ready to go! We zipped around checking out the sites and our guides did a great job navigating downtown during both a Rocky's game and the taste of Colorado! Crowds everywhere and there were no problems. My favorite part of the tour was when we were really cruising down the sidewalk parallel with the Platt river. I lived in downtown Denver for five years, but moved away six years ago so it was great seeing how much of it changed and what stayed the same. The guide and I had a fun time comparing facts and information about different historical spots in Denver. You can have up to 4 people in your tour group, and there is a guide in front and in back so we stay together as a group. Their website says they may be able to accommodate larger groups if you call way in advanced, but the standard is up to four. I had a lot of fun and would highly recommended this to both tourists and locals! Thanks Brandon and Jake for the fun tour!

If you want to learn all about Downtown Denver in an hour and a half, then this is the tour for you! My husband and I had an amazing time on this Segway tour. We started off on 16th street mall, then made our way down to Union station. Afterwards, we visited the Coors Field, which was beautiful! Then our guide took us to different parks with a gorgeous view of the Denver City skyline. I can't even list all the places we saw Bc there was so many. What truly made the tour a memorable experience was how our guide gave us a lot of fun facts about the city. We became so knowledgeable about Denver that when we had dinner with our local friends from the city we were telling them fun facts that they didn't even know about Denver! Haha Overall, it was a great experience and we highly recommend it. It's a fun and fast way to learn a lot about this beautiful city. Plus, who doesn't enjoy being on a Segway?! Happy Traveling, JT

Poorly maintained Segway with right leaning steering bar.

Is it possible to give a tour zero stars? My motto generally is, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" but... other tourists need to be aware of this before they waste $65 per person on this Denver tour. If this first paragraph is all you read, be warned the Segways were very poorly maintained, unsafe, rickety and dirty and helmets were filthy. The steering handle on one Segway needed to be leaning to the right for the rider to go straight (see photo). Now about the person on the bike who we followed through Denver. We were waiting at the designated spot. A person on a Segway came up from an alley and said "there are two more people coming." Not, "good morning, my name is.... are you here for the Segway tour?" We asked about a restroom. "You need to use the restroom at Panera." We had already been to the "customer only locked" restrooms. He said just tell them you are with the Segway tour. Panera did give the code but said that was news to them that Segway customers get to use their restrooms. On to the tour. We head down an alley with our guide. We try to engage him in a little conversation. "Could you introduce yourself?" "Oh yea. My name is Kyler." "How long have you been doing these tours." "This is my first tour." (Nice try, we didn't believe you.) "Can you tell us a little about the tour?" "I usually start with ....." "So...I guess this isn't your first tour lol?" (All of this said on our part to break the ice. Is he reserved? shy?) No, come to find out he really isn't into being a tour guide. We head out. He on his bike leading six Segway riders. We had a total of four spots where Kyler spoke. One cool spot on a bridge we stopped, waiting for him to say something significant about where we were, but he just took out his phone and engaged himself with that. Kyler was on his phone texting about every two or three minutes the entire tour even while riding the bike. Phone in and out of pocket every couple minutes. We did get to ride past the US Mint. (Not important enough for a stop.) In front of the Capital, someone asked a question about a nearby statue. He said he would tell us about that later. We headed in the direction of the statue but continued right on past. After our guide crossed a busy street with five xc seconds remaining before the light turned red (clearly no concern for the six people following him), we stopped some distance away from the "most photographed art statue in the city" where we received a general answer about the art statue we just past. At this spot we were able to take photos (through the trees) and see what we could of Denver's most photographed statue. The only bright spot of the tour was the added dynamic of the two ladies with whom we shared this very memorable tour. Kyler, if you read this, you need to find other employment where social skills and service is not required. Hope you find something more suitable for what you enjoy. Possibly a phone store?

This tour is a MUST when visiting downtown Denver. It was the highlight of our visit and the 1.5hr tour was perfect! It took us only a few minutes to learn to ride the segway and we were zipping around town in no time! Stuart was our guide and he did a good job. He had an easy way about him and he gave good instructions. We segway'd on city streets, parks, bike paths, along the river, by a theme park, over a bridge, and even up the ramp of the Sports Authority stadium. It was sooo fun! Highly recommend this! The only discomfort is standing in place for a long time while applying pressure to the balls/heels of the feet. Take advantage of the stops along the way to stretch or exercise your feet and get some circulation back.

This was a lot of fun for a beautiful cool summer morning. The Segway is super easy to learn & fun to maneuver. I've lived in Denver 32 years and I learned things from Stuart that I didn't know! Very informative & interesting with some of the tour at top speed (12 MPH) along the Platt river. I highly recommend. Educational AND fun! There are picture taking opportunities along the way so don't forget your camera. You can wear sandals if you want, but a shoe with comfortable soles is best because your feet tend to go numb. I also used a Groupon, so the price was right. Don't forget to tip more if you got a deal

Super fun, easy to learn and you see a lot of denver that would take hours to walk otherwise! I bought a tour for good friends visiting out of town and we all enjoyed it! Would definitely do it again! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, charming and made the whole experience easy and fun as it should be!

This is our second Segway tour and a major US city. Denver was even cooler than Houston! Hi guide Chris was fun, knowledgeable hey awesome and an all-around hoot! Well we're staying to our segment of your visit to Denver!

Great tour of the city. Chris was an outstanding guide very knowledgeable about the city and took us to some of the best areas to ride. The only thing we should have done was take this tour at the beginning of our trip.

PRO TIP: try avoiding the most back row if you have long legs or any stress with mobility. Because once you sit there, the seat is assigned and you will have to deal with being cramped in a tighter space. And you basically are always the last one to get off. This was one of the biggest cons. Moving on, the tour itself was great. We stopped by a cafe on the way to and back, for food and bathroom breaks, and pretty soon, the van took us to the Rocky Mountain with beautiful views and even saw many wildlife - the big horn sheep, elk, deer (i think), and, not to forget, smaller animals like birds, mouse, and chipmunks, but no moose spotted. Nonetheless, the breathtaking view of the Rockies is certainly worth the journey. The guide was very knowledgeable about trees and shared many stories about the places and tips for visiting Denver in general! She also took us to a few Native American owed stores that featured indigenous art that were very cool to see. One thing to note is that I think the Colorado Sightseer, the tour company, had listed at least two slightly different itineraries, and I might have been sent to the one I did not pick. I noticed because I intentionally picked the tour with visits to two visitor centers, vs the one I went on only took us to Beaver Meadows. Not a big deal bc I did get still get my stamp, and the tour used most of the day's time efficiently by visiting many attractions. But this might be something you want to make sure if the stops matter a lot to you. Nonetheless, with a group tour, it is understandable and expected for the itinerary to potentially change. For instance, the day I went, the tour guide actually too us to visit places in different order to avoid crowds. Another thing to really appreciate is that the tour provided some snacks, extra gloves/beanies, which were really a lifesaver in the cold mountains. I know I was not fully prepared for it and so glad I could borrower some!

Also, with the 114th anniversary of the Titanic approaching, I figured I should learn more about the disaster's one of the most prominent survivors. My tour guide (Eli) was very informative and they talked about a lot of the inticracies of the house that I wouldn't have noticed if I had wandered around the house by myself, including details about the staircase and the method of constructing it, the wallpaper, stained glass, etc. I was particularly fascinated by how Margaret Brown leveraged her high profile status as a Titanic wreck survivor to fight for various causes such as women's suffrage, who she really was behind the legend of "Molly Brown," and the history of the house after its sale (how it became a group home for girls, and their antics of painting the lions up front and throwing things at the people passing by on the sidewalk). Definitely grateful for Eli's expertise -- shows they're really passionate about passing down the local history to the community and beyond. I left with more knowledge than I expected to learn. Thank you Eli! It was also great that the house itself contained a good number of original pieces of the house from back in the 1910s, which isn't always the case with historical houses. There was also a little back room that had original pieces from the White Star Line so people could see the plates and other things that passengers on the Titanic would have used, as well as a super detailed model of the ship itself. Will definitely be recommending this tour for anyone who plans to go to Denver.

We had a lovely lunch at a cafe at the top of the mountains. I loved the weather, it was 80 when we left, then it rained, then it hailed, then it snowed!
