On top of the damages, the crew was unprofessional with poor attitudes throughout the move, which added unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, the final cost was more than DOUBLE the original quote with no reasonable explanation. Between the damaged property, inadequate claims handling, unprofessional behavior, and extreme price increase, this was an awful experience. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

They allowed me to tell them exactly where I wanted the items and they put everything where I wanted. Took the furniture apart and put it back together correctly. RENTER BEWARE: Mold/mildew ruined furniture in "climate controlled" unit! Price more than DOUBLED!…read moreI have been paying for a "climate controlled" space at Extra Space Storage and my furniture developed mold inside the unit. They said the only way they would do anything to compensate for this is if I had paid the extra monthly insurance fee (which most reasonable people would only consider necessary in the event of a natural disaster or burst pipe in the building, etc.). My question for them was, "what have I been paying for?" They said the unit is only temperature controlled, not moisture controlled. Therefore, to me, this should not be labeled a "climate controlled" unit. But even beyond that, Extra Space Storage drastically increases the monthly rate. As of this review, their pricing for the unit I have is $121/month online and they are currently charging me $318/month!!! I asked about the rate increase and they claim it is based on the market and unit availability. However, they still have plenty of empty units and are still renting units online, so why is the market dictating that I pay more than double what they're currently offering online? Well, this is called a bait and switch and is ILLEGAL. Bottom line is DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. They are a deceptive and unethical company.
