We recently purchased new kitchen countertops from the Home Depot and Rocksolid Surfaces performed the install. The first step was measuring and making templates for the countertops. The process was done precisely and accurately. Shortly after the countertops were made an appointment for the install was scheduled. The two installers arrived on time and covered all surfaces before starting then explained in detail what work will be performed, which included removing our old dishwasher., installing the new dishwasher, sink and faucet. Work was completed within 4 hours and looks better than expected. Unfortunately, we forgot to take before pics but the after pics look awesome. Highly recommend Rocksolid Surfaces! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Rock Solid Surfaces has been so deeply frustrating and unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others. We hired them in March with a clear promise: full design, fabrication, and installation in 2-3 weeks. As of mid-May, the project is still not complete -- and we are now approaching eight weeks. The delays were not due to complexity, but to blatant internal disorganization, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. I had to step in and design the layout myself because their team failed to do it -- despite being paid to manage that exact process. When I attempted to escalate the issue, I was met with dismissiveness and excuses. The owner responded with personal reasons why he couldn't address the problem (he was traveling and his business partner was adopting a child) -- as though that absolves the company from honoring a professional contract. Meanwhile, I continued getting vague updates, missed deadlines, and absolutely no sense of urgency. Worse, I've since checked their recent reviews and discovered that many others are complaining about the exact same issues: long delays, zero communication, and finger-pointing instead of solutions. I would never recommend Rock Solid Surfaces to anyone. If you care about timelines, professionalism, and getting what you paid for -- look elsewhere. It took 8 months to finally get my countertop installed. There is a 1/2 inch difference between the width of joined sections. They didn't shim where there were gaps. And, No Response to calls, texts, emails and letters about problems. Worst contractor experience I have ever had! read more

They installed my countertop on 6/27/25. On 7/2/25 my Costco account was charged when the job had not yet been completed. To this date it has yet to be completed. This is the first review I've ever written. So very disappointed. When my quartz countertop was installed, I was told the only way it could be damaged was by placing a hot pan on it. Counter is just 3 years old. In year two I noticed pits in the surface. Also the edges were chipping very easily. Now in year 3 the quartz is separating at the seam. Gapping and rising up on one side. They told me this is considered normal wear and tear. Seriously?? Also, when I called to discuss this, I was told they'd get back to me. That never happened. Home Depot won't do anything to stand up for their customers. So very wrong. I would never recommend Rocksolid surfaces!!! read more

Purchased through Northeast Factory Direct in Macedonia, OH. Do not recommend either. Both companies were unresponsive and unwilling to fix the problem and I was willing to pay a fee. I spent a lot of money on my quartz countertops tops and they did a good job. Now less then two years later its currently separating at the only seems I have. They don't warrant their work at all and will fix it but they will charge me to come fix their mistake. So if you purchase countertops go somewhere else. read more

The only thing that's rock anything about this place is the rock bottom awful customer service. Literally worst of the worst. We were told install would be 5 weeks out- MAX. After 2 weeks of trying to track down anyone to talk to about when someone would measure our countertops, I finally got through to Valerie (the woman I'd already left two voicemails for). It had been two weeks of radio silence. She told me install would be SEVEN more weeks and too bad so sad. Her demeanor was rock solidly crap. Considering I've seen the awful reviews of how screwed up the countertops are when they're installed, I couldn't imagine spending 7 more weeks and longer dealing with this company. Piece of advice: cancel your order if you have one, it isn't too late. This company is a nightmare. read more

I've shopped for granite here before and since that previous experience was good, thought I would return. I walked in an hour before closing and checked in at the showroom as the sign inside the door asked. The clerk at the desk seemed flustered when I did and she said she'd just seen the sales rep go up to his office and picked up the phone to get him back. He returned 10 minutes later and asked me what I needed. He seemed annoyed and asked why I wasn't purchasing my countertops from wheee I ordered my cabinets. I explained to him that I chose RSW. Honestly thought that was an odd question, unless you don't want my business. It's a small job, so maybe that was it. I wanted to use a remnant because the counter I need is only 83" and I felt like I had to ask questions to get him to help me because he clearly did not want to be there for this sale. He casually pointed at a few samples and was lukewarm on being interested. After drawing up a sketch, made a copy of my CAD drawing of the layout, he said he would have a quote to me on the following Monday. I asked him for a business card and he didn't have one. Here it is Friday, five days after I was promised a quote, and I've not heard back. I'm assuming that's a pretty clear message about what they think of my business. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Had all the equipment disposal, faucet everything there at time for measurement. Lowes didn't know much at time for the product. Looked good in store. Wish I never went to Rock solid. Took over10 weeks to get counters made. Then another 2 to 3 weeks to get installed. Day of install I took off work. Ten minutes before the end of the install time they called me and told me they are not coming. Rock solid then told me it would be another few days for install. Paid Lowes for plumbing. Great guys for plumbers. Disposal leaking. Had the plumber come out said bad disposal. Fine bought new one and plumber came out. The plumber said it is the worst sink because it is so thick on the bottom. Fast forward two weeks and of course it is leaking again. I called rock solid, and they said it is not our problem. I told them what the problem is from the plumber the the sink is to thick for connection. After I was told not our problem I told rock solid named Cali or something like that, it could be the connection from the sink base was not made properly and sink was faulty. In all my years I have NEVER dealt with such an unresponsive company. They do not return calls. I have a countertop from them that was installed on 12/27 and backsplashes installed 1/4 There were two holes that needed to be cut in one countertop to run a flat plug down and they put one hole in the WRONG place. Ofcourse it was my fault since I was here and did not catch that... really?????? They MEASURED!!! Every phone call contact, with Carly or Greg R, I had to initiate. They would NOT follow up unless I called. In order to fix the hole problem, they had to drill the holes larger AND cut my cabinet!!!! Interestingly enough, my previous countertop was perfect. Additionally, two seams were far apart on the back splash and the distance between the backsplash and the wall was at least 1/4" gap. The comment was that this is quite common. Seriously????? They have wasted countless hours of my time coming out top 'repair' or take pictures with no SOUND solution. I work as they do and have had to rest hedge my work hours quite a few times already. We ordered our island through Home Depot but needed the old one removed before we could extend the base to fit the larger piece we ordered. They came to measure in a few weeks after we ordered, then came the following week to remove. They called each time when they were 30 minutes out, which gave me enough time to leave work to let them in. They layed drop clothes all over my hardwood floor and swept after they were finished. They ask that I give them at least an hour for the appt. They had every thing removed and cleaned up in about 15 minutes and I was back to work before my lunch was over. Great job guys! We went to Home Depot and ordered our cabinets and countertops. The first visit from Rocksolid Surfaces was a disaster. The person assigned to my project was not very good at returning calls. She couldn't answer any questions and kept telling me that they did a bad job (after I sent her the pics). They did the seams wrong, backsplash was a mess and the island counter was in two pieces that were not the same size or color. I was very worried we would have to start from scratch with a different company. However.......I was pleasantly surprised. While we were not satisfied with the first install visit we were extremely happy with the second crew that came in to fix. A huge shout out to Clif's Edge workers, Joe, Jesse and Q!! Thank you for fixing all the problems we had and being friendly, fast and careful. You guys killed it! I wish I could add pics here because it really looks amazing now. These guys came through with great customer service and skilled counter top installation and repair. The only reason I am giving four stars is because of Clif's Edge guys (Joe, Jesse and Q)! If I could give Rock Solid Surfaces 0 stars I would but that's not an option. We purchased a kitchen remodel from Lowes and were automatically assigned to this company; had I known and looked up the reviews I would have cancelled it. Shame on Lowes for continuing to use this company who does shotty work and doesn't even try to correct or rectify their errors. Long story short, because it is a LONG one my friends, is they don't deliver what you pay for. The lead time is ridiculous. They forget materials needed for install. They send inexperienced people along with extremely cocky and rude installers. So rude I almost told the guy to leave my house. They are very aggressive when they do the install and nicked two different spots on our newly drywalled wall. I didn't complain about the service because I didn't want to be 'that person' especially sine good help is so hard to find these days. I also didn't complain about the wall because we would be putting backsplash up so you wouldn't see the nicks. Well, the seams don't match up, they aren't 'seamless' like I paid extra for and an entire 6' slab of quartz edging doesn't even match the remaining edges in the kitchen. The installer noticed it, said it was wrong, took pictures and reported it - told me someone would get back to me regarding a resolution (and this was after the install was delayed almost 2 hours because they forgot the sink and were waiting for someone to deliver it! Fast forward two weeks. Still no phone call. So I call. And leave three messages before I get a call back. I'm then told that based on the pictures everything is within parameters - no ma'am it is not and someone needs to come out here. She says well let me take a look at the pictures again and talk to my manager and I will get back to you. Does she get back to me? Nope. I call again a week later and leave another message. Finally they call me back and agree to send someone out to 'fix' the error. My concern is the ability of someone to actually 'fix' the issue; I'm talked to like I'm the idiot and told this is something they correct all the time (HUGE red flag). So the guy comes out to fix it and what do you know it can't be fixed. He called his manager while at my house and says the only solution is to cut a new piece of quartz, uninstall this piece, and reinstall the new piece. I tell them I don't want that because the backsplash has already been installed (I have zero faith that they wouldn't mess that up) and I don't want to be inconvenienced by not having a countertop. It's a waste of time, money, and resources and quite frankly I don't want them in my house again! I was told I'd get a call by the next week. So we're now three weeks out from that and I haven't gotten one phone call back after I have left multiple messages for our rep, the manager, and customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I have been trying for two years to get Rock Solid to address the defective recycled-glass countertop it sold to me and installed in 2019. Glass pieces keep falling out, so I have nicks along the edges and on the surface of the countertop. All I'm getting so far is finger pointing. Rock Solid stopped carrying this line at some point and it is now longer being manufactured. Their supplier, who's been the most helpful, hasn't heard from the manufacturer's rep. I'm about ready to take Rock Solid to small claims court. They sold the countertop to me; they are responsible for fixing or replacing it. Like others, I also had problems with the seams. It was like someone ran a pencil down the width of the countertop, which is primarily white. Rock Solid came back out and made it better, but not by much. I would not do business with this company. read more

OK, so now I'm compelled to add my 2 cents; Rock Solid isn't worth a plugged nickel. Take note that the only higher-than-1-star reviews are dated Sept. 2016, April 2017, August 2017 and October 2019. My experience is from the latter part of 2020 so you can likely guess my review will not be good. Seams are jagged, caulking messy and workmanship poor. Though there are other workmanship issues, the worst was in regard to our kitchen's 10 foot island. They arrived with the sink cutout area really rough on its inner edge, so someone came out to polish that area. That required moving the 8 foot slab off the island and taking it outside. Next, they didn't plan on the sink's relative location within the cabinet base, so they had to pull the large slab off the island again. When it was placed on the island for the third time, a crack was obvious in the narrow strip at the front of the sink cut out. "That's a fissure which is natural and not warranted, but we'll fix it for you & put filler in it." Yep, it's a fissure that they opened, i.e., they cracked it open. Yep, it's still visible. The end of the island is a separate 2 foot piece. See above re: poor seams. What's even worse, that piece is about 2mm thinner than that of the adjoining 8 foot piece!? So they put a couple of snapped-off wood shims under it to make the surfaces match. We now have a gap with the ends of cheap wood shims visible at the top edge of the base cabinet under that 2 foot segment. While the surface of the two pieces may be level, the machined edges of the different thickness pieces do not, and cannot, line-up with each other! (BTW, their web pages have pictures of granite tops with ogee edges, but we were told that they dissuade that profile because its upper edge is often very jagged. Other fabricators simply knock-down and polish any really sharp edges.) Oh, and the installers (particularly one of them) had a 'tude that shone brighter than a full harvest moon. It's as if he expected to be done in 30 minutes, so the crew soon became annoyed. I later serendipitously saw that they even 'flagged' my account's work order saying that the homeowner was troublesome, such that they'd suggest asking that I go into another area of the house if further work needed to be done. What a convenient way to not have any witnesses to their actions. The only plus I can say is that we were lucky enough to cancel them from doing our wet bar. When I later shopped for a countertop for the wet bar I approached Home Depot, only to learn that they used Rock Solid. I immediately stood up and walked out. I may be burning bridges with this post, but I cannot imagine Rock Solid doing any good for me at any time in the future, regardless of the nature of my review. read more

Had the unfortunate experience dealing with RockSolid and Home Depot--the company who contracts them for new quartz countertops. We hired them to demo and remove our existing countertops, sink and plumbing and then install new quartz countertops, sink, and plumbing in my kitchen. We paid for this work in full, when we ordered the countertop at Home Depot. Despite this, when RockSolid came out to measure, they told me they'd have to come out a second time to measure and it would cost more money. I called Home Depot, who talked them out of charging for a second measurement. Then, the day before the project was to commence, RockSolid called saying they made a mistake in calculation and needed an extra $400. I questioned this, calling this 'shady'. They then said they would cancel the job if we didn't pay the extra $400. For a contractor to do this the day before work is to begin is almost extortion. Had to bring Home Depot in again, this time they bargained the $400. down to $100., still shady, but we really wanted the countertops installed the next day. When they demoed the old counter, they took a gouge out of the wall and said they would fix it when they returned to install the quartz backsplash. When they returned for that, they just installed the backsplash and never fixed the wall, saying "they didn't have the right materials to do it". Furious again, I called Home Depot and provided pictures. They called RockSolid who responded by saying that 'in their fine print it states that they are not responsible for wall damage. Pathetic! Don't do business with these shysters. Who calls the day before a countertop install and tries to strong arm for more money? Who leaves gouges in your wall and doesn't fix them, and doesn't even seal all off the countertops. Don't do business with RockSolid, as you can see they do shoddy work. If you're having counter or cabinet work done by a big box chain in the future, make sure they don't contract out their work to this incompetent company. read more

This company came out and set my breakfast bar almost a half inch off level. The cost to repair the breakfast bar is astronomical because the island needs ripped apart and refaced. Rocksolid surfaces isn't willing to fix it nor are they willing to pay for the cost of the repair. There are multiple horror stories of this company across review sites. Please do not use these people or any of their DBAs at the same address on 150th. What they do to people should be a crime. read more

Staff were rude, unresponsive, pushy (when you did talk to someone), non-communicative and unaccommodating. We paid hundreds for a digital rendering that didn't match the final install and when we reached out to them for follow up we never heard back! We emailed, we called and ended up filing a formal complaint with Lowe's. The edges around the sink are unpolished and rough in places and there is a small but noticeable chip in the corner near the stove. Our project was delayed by several weeks as we tried to work with them to get a design we liked or just get responses. Our countertops are beautiful in many ways but we will not be using Rock Solid Surfaces in the future and will not be using Lowe's again since they contract with them. Shop elsewhere!! read more

We used Rock solid for a fairly large kitchen countertop project that required 6 pieces with a total of 3 seams. Our seams are barely noticeable and the crew that did our measurements and then installation were absolutely awesome. Every person we interacted with was friendly and they were by FAR the most timely with communication compared to every other contractor we've worked with while remodeling our home. We will be using them again for a smaller countertop project and so far, communication has been quick. Couldn't recommend them enough! read more

I am a current customer awaiting an install that has experienced a very disorganized set of facts in regards to the business practices of Rock Solid Surfaces. After getting notified that our first install date had to be abruptly rescheduled due to the product cracking during fabricating, a second install was scheduled for today. Once again, our schedule had to be rearranged and appointments had to be cancelled to ensure we had someone at the residence. Then, mere hours before install, we get notified via voicemail that the product broke again and they would not be showing up today. This is hours before scheduled arrival. The voicemail stated that we would receive a call a short time later. We called and left our info on voicemail. After getting no return call, we called again hours later to find that Cara, whom left the original call, had left for the day without returning the call that she stated she would do. Additionally, the party we did speak to on the phone could not help us and we continued to get the runaround. This is unacceptable and simply ridiculous business practices. Our time, cancelled business appointments, frustration, rescheduling, lost wages and the add'l expense of purchasing take-out food is not something we should have to succumb to. Is this to be expected by your customers? Is the failed attempts at installation, apparently poor product integrity, poor communication, poorer customer service, and delayed or no responses something common at the establishment? We immediately need to know how this matter will be rectified, preferably before add'l measures are explored. Update! 24 Hours Later. Your reply to my review: "We are sorry you had an unfavorable experience. As you know, granite is a very fragile material. Your job was delayed because the "natural" material fractured. We remade your countertops on more than one occasion to make sure you had a perfect installation. We apologize for the delays, and your feedback is appreciated." That very funny how you gloss over the incompetence factor of your business practices. But then again, you're trying to save face on a public forum, so I shouldn't be surprised. Certainly the granite is fragile. This is a known fact. What isn't creating a "perfect" installation is that you called me 2 hours before install to tell me the material broke, AGAIN! This was on the second attempt. Are you telling me that you cut material mere hours before you leave the shop for install? Because if that is standard business practice, then your business is more incompetent than I thought. How could you run a legitimate business that handles "fragile" material when you're cutting it just prior to install? You also glossed over the fact that your staff failed, multiple times, to call us back in a timely manner (or in the time frame that was stated). Also, after failing to call us back, she left for the day. Is this common business practice? So do your employees typically lie to the customers just to smooth things over, but don't hold up their end of the deal. In addition, After we wasted our time calling to speak with someone that has any bit of knowledge about customer service, they still couldn't give us a straight answer. Is this typical? And how come you didn't address this incompetence in your reply to my review. By the looks of it, this IS common practice, as the business named Rocksolid Surfaces has just as many 1-star reviews as it does 5-star reviews. And if everyone who reads this looks across multiple forum and social media, they will find the same. Numerous 1-star reviews describing the incompetent business practices and unprofessional experience they received from Rocksolid Surfaces. Finally, 24 hours later we receive a phone call reply, and all you have to say for your incompetence is that the material will be in next Monday and you can squeeze us in your schedule in 3 weeks. Are you serious? This is an issue that you created and should remedy immediately. Not just throw an inconvenienced customer at the back of the line for the 3rd time. I will be sure to advise any potential client of yours to do their homework and shop somewhere else. The frustration and expenses that future customers will incur will not be worth the hassle. I am confident that there are dozens of legitimate businesses out there that will make the kitchen remodeling experience much better. read more

We used RockSolid Surfaces for a home repair and they were amazing! We recently purchased a home and after a few weeks of moving we noticed our granite counter seam splitting along with one of the wooden leg supports breaking! The countertops had been placed in 2016 by a different contractor that was no longer in business and we had no idea what to do. We contacted RockSolid Surfaces for an estimate and they were quick to respond. They were able to evaluate and repair our countertops like new and for a good price! We needed quartz countertops installed in our kitchen. We bought the countertops from Lowes who uses Rocksolid Stone Works as their installer. The pros? - The countertop is in. The cons? -The installers were unprofessional, -They swore more than sailors. - They were generally rude and unresponsive. - Despite having measured, the sink now was too close to the front of the cabinets, so the tilt out drawers didn't have clearance, so they had to come out -They removed the corner braces from the cabinets. -They gouged the cabinet doors, -They cut the hole for the soap dispenser too far away from the sink. I can't recommend Lowes for installation services if this is the caliber of "professional" installers they choose. They say they are committed to customer satisfaction, but that's obviously untrue, actions speak louder than words. This company has to work on training their staff in basic civility and manners, then maybe customer service too. read more

Ordered a new quartz countertops from Home Depot and Rock Solid was the contractor that furnished and installed the tops. On the day of the install the tech called with their ETA and the team was shortly onsite. The two installers and plumbers were neat clean and surprisingly quick with the job, small kitchen with an easy tear out helped. The counters looked good with a nice clean finish, no issue with the material or workmanship on fit and finish. The install team did a nice job of keeping the dust and dirt down, vacuuming while drilling the opening for the faucet and debris from the tearout. I'm happy to recommend Rocksolid Stone Works and would / will use them again on other projects. read more

Setting up and getting the install scheduled was a nightmare. Rock Solid stated they would look into the install date I requested and get back to me but the lack of returned phone calls was horrible. I had to continue calling them to get answers and follow up. We were very impressed with RSW Stone works. We had used them in 2013 for our kitchen granite and most recently for 3 bathroom granite updates. They were very timely, always calling ahead of arrival, took pride in their installs and welcomed any of our questions. Aside for a few nicks, everything was perfect. They returned promptly to correct the small nicks. Would definitely recommend them. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. We got quartz countertops and a new sink from Lowes. They use Rocksolid for their installations. The installers were very unprofessional, badmouthing their fellow employees. They removed my existing faucet, installed the counters and sink, and when the plumber (from their company) arrived, he found they had thrown away some of the parts to my faucet. It's a professional grade faucet, so they said I would have to order the parts myself, and they would send their plumber back to install. They would schedule the install, and the plumber wouldn't show up. I'd call and they would tell me he was sick. After 2 weeks of this, they agreed to let me hire a plumber and they would pay for it. Fast forward to 1 year later, and the sink is literally sinking away from the countertop. It has become detached and is about halfway off. They want to charge me $175 to fix it because I am 2 weeks out of warranty. I've never had a kitchen sink become detached from the countertop. Shouldn't they hold for more than a year? They twice cancelled install date, notifying us only few hours before the scheduled time. We had removed our existing countertop and sink. We have moved cabinet content and spread them around the house. We were without a kitchen for over two weeks, going out for meals during a pandemic time. The unbelievable excuses they gave were: 1st time their saw broke (they knew that only few hours before install time!!), and 2nd excuse that the countertop fell and broke while it is being loaded on the truck. On top of that, when they finally installed the countertop, they have failed to polish the sides, and they had scratches along the whole length. They had to send someone a month later to do some manual polishing that is of inferior quality to machine polishing, and left edges that are sharper than the promised quarter-inch edges, not to mention the mess it left in the kitchen for the second time. Installers, who we learned are sub-contractors to Rock Solid Surfaces, were very nice and professional: Cliff, Heather and Dan. So far everyone in their office has been extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Would highly recommend this business. read more

I've never been treated so poorly by a company that I am providing business to. The answers to all my questions were met with annoyance by the people there; and they made me prepay for my entire job "estimate" so that when they adjusted it up because of material selection, I had no choice by then but to take the quote for exactly as it was given to me or lose my original 6k estimate payment. Mostly if they seemed grateful for the work I could respect it, but they all act like they're doing me a favor. We ordered a quartz countertop through Home Depot and paid over $4000 for the job. Rock Solid is the installer for Home Depot. When they installed my countertop, they didn't match up the pattern in the quartz. When confronted about the bad match, they said well we used all the material we had..another representative from Rock Solid said we just cut the material and put it together, not carrying if they match up the pattern.
