I purchased a home built in 1964 that needed to be brought to 2015. As a Realtor, I know what my house will ultimately sell for once updated. My need to stay within budget was important. I priced a big box store. Mediocre cabinets, low end granite and a 7-8 week timeframe was presented. A friend told me I had to check out US marble & granite before I made a decision and I'm so glad I did. From the time I walked in the door I was impressed. I was introduced to the owner and what he showed me behind the design center was an area where all of the custom cabinetry is made and the largest selection of granite, marble & quartz I've ever seen! I explained my need for a new kitchen, my wants, and my budget. They helped me design a custom kitchen exactly as I wanted. Everything I mentioned along the way was met with the response "we can do that". When it was time to install the cabinets and granite the gentleman who showed up at my door were as professional and courteous as the owner. There were issues during the install with my home (plumbing) and they took care of that as well! The time frame from start to finish was short and today I'm looking at a gorgeous custom Kitchen I never would have achieved anywhere else. I've learned that people want to do business with those the know, like and trust. US Marble & Granite will continue to have my business (bathrooms next!) and always my referrals. After shopping around various vendors, we decided on US Marble and Granite based upon the selection of the stone and pricing. Jenna assisted us in selection and was extremely knowledgeable about their product offering. She was generous with her time and directed us to slabs that met the criteria we were shopping for. After the selection and measurement, she assisted us with the lay out of how the stone would be cut. Additionally, the owner of the store, Maher, came over and assisted us with the template lay out. Being a novice to the industry, I very much appreciative they took the time to make professional recommendations as to how the stone should be installed. Not only did they provide useful insight, but Maher pointed out tiny flaws of the stone we selected and recommended we choose a stone from the same lot. Needless to say, I was grateful he made this recommendation since that miniscule flaw may have bothered me on such a major purchase. Additionally, I am so grateful he pointed this out and didn't attempt to be rid of a piece that might otherwise not have been as desirable. Installation was prompt and courteous and they were able to accommodate a tight time line we had. I have been doing business with Maher and this company for 17 years. When it came time for us to choose granite for our new home there was no question where we would go. The staff is respectful, responsive and tries to make the experience as positive as possible for their customers. They work best one on one and spend the time necessary to answer all questions. Just so happens I was one of the "two people talking about a social topic in the office" yesterday when Cathy C and her husband walked into the showroom. The conversation I was having with the staff had barring on my order and to be honest I would have been offended and quite frankly angry had my staff member interrupted my business to assist the couple who "Just walked into the showroom". Patience is a well respected virtue. Having worked with US Granite and Marble as long as I have I would have been happy to wait 5 minutes for my turn to have their undivided attention. We are a small custom home builder in the Avon Lake area, and have used US Marble & Granite for the last 8 years; and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a granite and tile source. We find their inventory selections to be very classy and elegant (the best in the Cleveland area); and their pricing to be very competitive. In addition to buying here for our own home, we send all our clients to Maher & his team. They do a good job of working with you to get it right, from selection to installation. With regard to the earlier reviewer, we all sometimes have a bad day; or maybe are just really busy. I recommend a second visit. After reading "less than positive" reviews, I feel compelled to let others know that my experience at US Marble and Granite was most positive. The owner, Maher, offered great suggestions and guided me through the remodel of my kitchen and two bathrooms. His input, coupled with the quality of workmanship his staff produced, resulted in outstanding final projects. I could not be more pleased. The inventory is unique and extensive. This place offers much more than "marble and granite". It is a "one stop shop" and consequently my projects flowed beautifully. My husband and I went to US Marble and Granite with only a vague idea of what we wanted, after two visits, we were given enough education and professional advice in regards to natural stone products to make an informed decision in regards to granite countertops and also cabinetry for our kitchen. This company is amazing! They custom built my kitchen cabinets, installed tile and custom cabinets in 3 bathrooms, furnished my countertops for all of these rooms. The quality of the craftmanship way exceeded my expectations! They are reasonable in their pricing and do the work they say they will do in a timely manner. I recommend them fully!
