This is a work in progress. The contractor is not here today. The fourteen cabinets are in place and look beautiful, but some comments are in order. I was told that the cabinets are received knocked-down and were assembled locally. The cabinets were not delivered in cartons. There were cartons of trim and accessories though, and some cardboard was used between the cabinets on the trailer. On one carton, under the Bedford Heights, Ohio address, it states "made in China". To be fair, I don't know what was in that carton, or if there was more than one carton like that. I have concerns about how some of the doors fit, and I will have to ask the installer about the tolerance on warped doors. He spends a gret deal of time adjusting the hinges and if the cabinet door touches closed on the bottom, it doesn't touch at the top. The cost is over $11,000 already and that is just for the cabinets, countertop and sink. We have to pay the plumber to install the plumbing of the sink, disposal and dishwasher and an electrician for wiring the dishwasher and microwave. I prepared the walls and painted the kitchen before the cabinets were installed, but it will have to be painted again to cover all of the installer's pencil lines. The job is not going smoothly. The plumber cut off the water line too low and had to come back and extend it before the sink base could be set. The installer left yesterday because he couldn't continue to cut the trim outside in the rain, and now he has been sent on another job for two days. There is no rush for him to finish because they measured for the granite countertop yesterday, and it will be at least another week before the countertop is ready to install. In summary, the cabinets are well made of good quality plywood and the front trim is wood. With the cove trim on top (on one cabinet so far) and the Cambridge door style, the completed kitchen should look fantastic. The doors may be a problem however. There are twenty-three doors, and there may be some that are warped. The most noticeable door is the first one in a line of eight doors, as you enter the kitchen. I searched for a well-made, well-priced cabinet for months and I know how hard it is to finally make a decision. If you are going through a similar tug of war trying to find quality and a good price, you might stumble across a company called Choice Cabinets. DO NOT buy from this company. I was told by the Chicago distributor that I had to fully pay in advance in order to get the best discount (major mistake by me). Amazingly, the next day, I was told that some of the cabinets were back ordered. I didn't get the last one until almost 3 months after I paid. Funny thing is that on their website they talk about quick delivery being one of their benefits. BUT, OH DOES IT GET WORSE! One of the cabinets was stained wrong. The Chicago distributor told me I could re-stain it with a stain pen. When I did it looked terrible. The distributors solution? He made me buy a new one. OH DOES IT GET WORSE. The local distributor actually measured my kitchen (or input the figures) wrong and my cabinets didn't fit. Yep, you guessed it. I was told that I signed the contract and I needed to pay for the new cabinets even though I had their blueprint with the wrong measurements. OH DOES IT GET WORSE. After having nothing but trouble with our local distributor, I wrote the owner of the company (based in Cleveland). He emailed me back saying that they don't talk to or communicate with customers. I needed to work things out with my distributor. When I told him that wasn't possible, he never responded back to me. Can you imagine a company that gladly takes your money, but won't take your call or email??? YOU DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. Almost NOTHING they said was true and I greatly regret giving them my money. During this same period, I have spent $50,000 getting new flooring, window treatments, 2 bathrooms re-done, painting, new fireplace, etc and not had one problem. I have read the 2 reviews on here and they do not pertain to Choice Cabinet in Bedford. Our experience was FANTASTIC from start to finish. We had recently bought a house and gutted the kitchen. Having been in the design industry I was worried the new kitchen would cost us a fortune if we wanted quality cabinets. Our realtor had recommended looking at Choice Cabinet. My husband and I started the process with Jessica at Choice Cabinet and have NOTHING negative to say. We started out with a trip to the showroom and were very happy with the selections they had. The quality of the solid maple construction and the soft close doors were a pleasant surprise. Sliding drawers, garbage bins and the moldings that we could do were also a plus. Jessica helped design our kitchen, came out and measured and we received a quote quickly as promised. Our cabinets arrived as promised and in great condition. We used Choice Cabinets installers and would also highly recommend the installers as they know the product and were METICULOUS. The kitchen looks better than we imagined. Much thanks guys! Great customer service from first step in the door. These people are real. Not your typical car salesman trying to make a deal. The sales staff and installation department were absolutely superb! We put off the dream of a new kitchen for quite some time but Choice Cabinet helped it become reality. We can't thank you enough! Our designer was so insightful and so full of ideas. At no additional cost, she came and measured, not once but TWICE, to make sure everything was spot on! Anything we needed additionally was ready for us within hours. And the installers were so quick, clean and polite. The craftsmanship of these cabinets is only what I thought I couldn't afford. Now this blue collar family has custom-like quality and we only paid a fraction of custom price. I have no idea what what Jim T and Paul R are talking about,.. Choice cabinets are a superior product. We spent months researching cabinetry and chose Choice Cabinets. Their cabinets are made of plywood and not chip board or MDF, the faces are all solid wood. I found it to be an excellent product. They package the product well so when it arrives it is in perfect condition. The install contractor I used damaged a door and a hinge was broken, again by my contractor. Choice Cabinet employees where great helping me fix the problem in a very short time. It took lest than 3 days for things to arrive. We recently remodeled our kitchen, after looking at several cabinet makers in the area we settled on Choice Cabinets and am I glad we did. Jessica came to our home took some measurements of our kitchen and 24 hrs. later she had two different designs for us to look at. Choice Cabinets gave us a 2 week lead time which I thought was amazing and then they beat it by two days, their install crew were also amazing very professional, courteous and went out of their way to make sure we were completely satisfied, I can't say enough about Choice Cabinets and their installation crew. When we decided to remodel our first floor - primarily our kitchen, great room and laundry room we met with 4-5 kitchen planners. It was so frustrating because no one listened to what we wanted in a design. I almost gave up until my friend recommended Choice Cabinets. I met with the designer expressing to her the "feel" I wanted. A wonderful experience from start to end ... and beyond. My wife & I remodeled our home and that included expanding our kitchen to about 600 s.f. which took about 30 cabinets. Choice Cabinet worked with us through the entire process of design - selection - and even recommended an awesome installer. In the end we chose the honey glazed maple cabinets along with crown modling. It has been a little while since completing the project and the cabinets look and function as good now as they did when installed. Last fall we remodeled our kitchen and laundry room. We looked around at many types cabinets and we settled on Choice Cabinet! After meeting with one of their designers, we choose the Renaissance cabinets (an antiqued white with a nutmeg glaze) and they are absolutely beautiful! Not only do they look beautiful (a definite "high end" look) but the cabinet quality is unreal. The drawers and cabinets have a soft glide close, are dovetailed and every hinge is adjustable. The boxes are thick and very sturdy. And to top it all off, the price makes it very affordable! We have definitely referred others to Choice Cabinet and will continue to do so! read more

We added a rather large first floor laundry/utility room to our home. This room contains approximately 28 cabinets and drawers all purchased from Choice Cabinets. It was a pleasure working with all of their personnel from design through installation. The time taken by their design personnel was tremendous and very accurate. We love our pantry from Choice! We were looking for affordable options yet with good quality and when we saw the cabinets and the Renaissance finish from Choice along with the quick availability time and great price, we were sold! This was a weekend project with help from out of town for one day so timing was important. Choice had the cabinets ready the day we ordered (in-stock). They even helped us learn how to adjust the door hinges to keep the doors aligned properly over time. I checked at many different places in the area. These cabinets are by far the best I have seen. They were almost double the price at Lowes and Home Depot never got back with me. The cabinet box is all plywood and solid. The fronts of the cabinet (Cambridge) are spectacular. My installer even commented that he likes the cabinets and thought they where from a custom shop. I want to say that I have Choice Cabinet in my laundry room, bar and in my daughters bedroom desk area and window seat area. The product for the price is amazing. The boxes are built like tanks and have the same construction as my kitchen custom cabinets which have had the finish peeling since i had them installed. We ordered cabinets through a distributer in Pennsylvania and were very happy with the service they provided. Originally we were going to order Thomasville cabinets from Home Depot and after looking at these cabinets we were sold.
