I can't believe this place has been here this long without me knowing about it! We stopped in for a late lunch last week and it was a great experience! Service was quick and friendly. We were seated immediately and our waters came promptly. We needed a bit of time to look over the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered the chicken tan tan dumplings, which came out quickly and were fabulous. I ordered a paitan ramen with pork belly and my husband got the spicy tan tan with a mix of ground beef and pork. I thought the pork belly was hard to eat the way it was served, but I also think it was a standard way to serve it so it was a me problem. The spicy tan tan is ONLY spicy because of the meat and our server said it was probably a 2/5 on spice, but you can spice up the broth more if you want. Overall, great experience. This is a great option for ramen without having to drive to Austin. Easy access off West Adams in Temple with a large parking lot. The inside has cute decorations and large booths. There's outdoor seating available but the inside is more inviting. Staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered the Black Garlic Paitan and Dumpling Ramen. 10/10 recommend the Black Garlic Paitan. The broth is flavorful and the pork is delicious. You can add on extra toppings for a small charge. Choice of poached egg or umami egg. The Dumpling ramen is a good choice if you want a lighter broth. The Crispy Tofu was a perfect appetizer that comes with a sweet soy based sauce. Not sure if the noodles are made in house or if the broth is simmered for a long time in house but still yummy and hit the spot. They also serve poke but I haven't tried it yet. Would like to see their drink menu expanded with more Japanese drinks. Alcohol is not served here. read more

Great place to get good asian style ramen, noodles and food. I love the cartoon mural and the service. The people are friendly and I am always able to call in my order to pick up on my way home from work. I have eaten in house once and taken food to go several times trying Khao soi, and the paitan ramen, and the beef dish. It was nice to get a variety of Thai, Japanese dishes. This one is the one in Killeen. I just ordered it tonight and ever since the first time, I have been going back. Well, if you order online it said, by one particular item, get one free, their choice, which was a drink and that's cool. Well, I didn't get my drink, because I was told Uber had to add it, strange, but ok. Now, I get the Meso ramen, the best and very delicious, but it was so salty. I don't know who cooked it around 6 or 6:30 tonite, (2/12/26), but it was salty. The person who I talked to tonite, was just like, "ok, I'm sorry, no drink or even a replacement. There's something comforting about hot soup; and I'm one to have it even if it's hot outside. Call me humid... it's never been done before. We were excited that they opened up in our tiny town. Since then, we always hit up this spot for ramen. Their broth has us addicted to slurping for leisure. After trying other kinds though, their paitan black garlic is a no-brainer order on automatic mode. We can't get enough of that Thai matcha green tea. There's usually round two! That goes for takoyaki balls, as well. Recently they've added BYO poke fish bowls. The options for ingredients may be a little limited, but you can build a decent bowl. I had the paitan ramen with pork. It was so extremely rockin'. Everything in it was delicious. The price is very good for the amount of food. Usually I comment on how ramen restaurants are skimpy on the noodles, but they are generous here. An egg is included in the ramen instead of as an extra charge! The pork was so tender. Rockin Ramen Tonight was our first time eating at Rockin Ramen with a friend. We had a reservation, so we were seated quickly, but it took an unusual amount of time before our drink order was taken. We had enough time to decide on everything we wanted fully, so we ordered in one fell swoop. My husband and I got the TanTan Dumplings (pork) and Squid Game starters. For dinner, we picked their Shoyu Ramen (spicy) and Paitan Black Garlic Ramen. While we waited for our food, I soaked in the fun atmosphere surrounding us. The walls were a happy, bright blue, and there was a large pop art mural on the right wall. I liked the lighting fixtures and all the happy, lucky cat figures at the front counter. Now, I'm torn between a solid 3-star or a generous 4-star, and here's why: The food was palatable. It was not the best ramen we've ever had, but it was tasty. Service seemed to struggle to keep up; perhaps they were short-handed, I'm not sure. The food was affordable, but it did bother me that I had to chase away 2 sugar ants from our table. Just wow. I have been here twice and it was fantastic both times. Ordered the Paitan black garlic Ramen with pork chashu. I always take leftovers because I can't ever finish the bowl. It's even better the next day. I added scallions the first time and had the Umami egg with the bowl. Loved the scallion addition but disliked the egg. I just didn't like the flavor. The second time I forgot the scallions so I was sad about that but I got the poached egg instead and it was a bomb addition!! Loved the yolk running over the pork. Also both times I added a generous amount of hot oil. Spicy is just better. The Thai tea had a great flavor. The squid is flavored nicely but I have to admit it was too chewy. The sauce is good. Overall the ramen is just so good we'll be back again for sure. It is a bit pricey though. So can't do it too often. read more

A friend of mine and I went here today for lunch and it was an absolutely delectable experience. There was a very short wait time and we were seated very quickly. We ordered the chicken dumplings, drunken Ramen, and some garlic Ramen (I can't recall the exact name of what my friend ate but she said it was tasty.) The food came out very quickly and it was positively delicious! The only reason I'm giving it four out of five stars is because it took the servers a little bit to get us water refills (with some deliciously spicy food; we had to ask twice) and then to get us our bill. Also, as an ICU nurse who doesn't get out much due to the pandemic - I was uncomfortable with the lack of masks worn by the staff and the close quarters of the restaurant. They do have outdoor seating but it was too chilly to eat outside today. Definitely try this place for Ramen! read more

Best spot in Temple! My team and I come here every week - the workers know us by now and even know our orders before we say it out loud. I love how casual the dining experience is here. The appetizers, specifically the chicken dumplings and takoyaki, are major crowd pleasers. I've tried the ramen and the broth is very creamy and the noodles are nice and chewy. However, my favorite entree is the build your own poke!
