Great place! Cute atmosphere. Delicious ramen. Kind and friendly staff. We tried the fried taro. It's good but not great,the waitress guided us to the smaller size which was definitely the right answer. The ramen had more pork belly than I was used to receiving, cooked perfectly too! A little bit of a sweet charr and very moist. The umami eggs are that perfect slightly jellied over medium. The only thing that isn't great are the wooden booths, they are not comfortable and are a little high for the tables, but I am tall and that is splitting hairs, the food is great! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet!!! It's such a gem in Temple. I do love our other ramen joint in the mall as well, but they're totally different styles. Rockin Ramen is brighter tasting, and the ingredients seem fresher. I love their Tan Tan Dumplings and their customizable Poke menu. Their ramen is really good as well, I just tend to avoid ordering it too often as I like to limit my carb intake. My son is autistic, and has many allergies. They have NEVER given us any trouble bringing his own food in so he can enjoy dinner with us while we get down on some ramen. For that, I am really grateful. Momo had the best recommendations! She let me know which were more flavorful and which meat to choose depending on what types of meat you like. I had the Rockin Yummen (made it spicy) and my husband had the Spicy Paitan Ramen. The pork was so tender and cooked perfectly. The soup flavors were amazing. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I went to lunch here. I had the miso chicken chashu. It was light enough for lunch and it tasted healthy. It comes in a very big bowl, so I was full. The broth was not too flavorful, but as I said, it was good enough for a light lunch. Service was nice - quick and polite servers and cashier. If I am looking for a light and healthy meal, I will definitely go back. There are many options to choose from, but I don't do spicy, so I was slightly limited. They are amazing covered with their secret rub, the rub has a nice amount of spice and tang. I kept picking it off the plate. They also have edamame, crispy taro, dumplings and othe items as appetizers. Then I had the paitan black garlic ramen, like the menu says its a nice creamy broth with deep garlic flavor. Oh man! We were in the area and saw this place. Of course I did a Yelp search and saw the many raving reviews. We came back about today to try it out. Absolutely positively delicious!! I don't have enough words to compliment the service, waitress and food. My husband had the Poke bowl and couldn't finish, largely in part to the wings he had beforehand. I would've soaked it in the hot broth but the egg didn't taste good to begin with and I couldn't get over the cold egg. They offer a military discount. Our wait staff, MoMo, was extremely nice and credited our bill by taking off the extra ajitama egg that I ordered. I was so hungry after work, I just had to go get my fill at the latest new Ramen restaurant. I've been watching the building progression and now that it's finally open I can try it. And let me tell you, my taste buds were in for a surprise! The name Rockin' isn't just a label, it's a verb here. I started with the dry rub wings that were absolutely awesome and flavor packed for their size, perfectly breaded and fried. My Rockin' Yummen ramen bowl towered next to the app in a classy bowl, stocked to the brim with Al dente noodles infusing the area with a hunger-busting aroma. The tables are dirty and the the restaurant itself seems like it's not throughly cleaned enough.
