Shrimp Tempura Roll Miso Ramen spicy garlic Edamame

Food was amazing and very fresh, and it wasn't a lot wait time .The Ambience was nice and quite great for a date night. The menu was very easy to ready with a lot of options. The restaurant is small and intimate. My only issue is they don't have juice option for kids/toddler only alcoholic beverages and soda products. Has for customer service the servers can check the tables more offline to see if there is something needed

Trying a new Ramen spot! Shoutout our server Tayah! She did a great job!

My wife and I went to grab some ramen before catching a movie and decided on Hamaru! We were greeted instantly upon walking in and were allowed to sit where we pleased! We both enjoyed our ramen, I just wished it was a tad bit spicier! We enjoyed the shrimp tempura and Japanese friend chicken (spicy ' regular), both of which were very tasty! I was thrown off by how dark the shrimp tempura looked, but after tasting it with the accompanying sauce, I realized the chefs knew what they were doing. My wife had a California roll that she enjoyed, and I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Shoutout to Tayah for typing together the immersive ambiance and delicious food with her authenticity! The city of Killeen has a gem with this one!

Finally, there's a decent ramen place in Killeen! My husband and I were intrigued when we saw this restaurant being built, and I'm happy to say that the food was worth the wait. They serve all the beloved appetizers, such as Chicken Karaage and Takoyaki. We've tried each of the ramen broth flavors, and my favorite is the Shoyu with an extra egg. They also offer delicious refresher drinks, which I enjoy while my husband explores their beer selection. The interior is small but accommodating. In addition to K-pop music videos playing on the TVs, the decor features plenty of faux flowers and lanterns. We've never experienced a long wait for anything here, whether for a table or our food.

The food was decent .... The refreshing drink was so very good. Good ambience and the waiters were ok.

    Four roll combo

I was looking for places to eat in Killeen with not much hope until I came across a supposed, new Japanese restaurant with an interesting picture of a four-roll combo that caught my attention. Recently, coming from Hawaii, I know I probably should not have been seeking this place out as I came from a place that had really good sushi in really good Japanese food, and my expectations were probably too high in terms of taste. However, there were not many choices, so I decided to get this place a try as it was close to an HEB (first time going to that store). Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by audible Japanese and mixed club dance music. The ambiance has a lot to offer in terms of decor There were two waiters and the one I got assigned to rubbed me the wrong way. First of all, it took ten minutes to get water and another five minutes for my order to be taken. The waiter obviously seemed like I was a bother, or he just did not want to be there. Service was a bit slow given the fact that it was not very busy. The waiter also did not check in with me unlike the tables around me. I decided to order the four roll combo with spicy tuna x 2, salmon, and shrimp tempura. The rolls came with a miso soup, which you have to ask for or it may be glossed over. Additional refills are $2.99. The rolls came out to about $29. The rolls were lined up on a plate with an unusual, but interesting presentation. I was not given plates, ginger, or wasabi. Was this a Japanese place, or was I lost? The presentation was nice, but looked better than it was. It was difficult to eat, given that all the pieces were too stuck together. Spicy tuna was good in terms of taste and had a nice kick. The salmon tasted fresh and had a nice acidic touch to it. Shrimp tempura was okay. In the end, I don't think I'll come back here. Food was not bad, but service definitely was.

Hidden gem. Place doesn't look like much from the outside but this place has the best ramen in the area. Sushi is not great but average. Small sitting area but most traditional ramen restaurants are small. Service is really good, we found a hair in the sushi and the staff quickly offered to redo the order. We declined and they removed it from our bill and also gave me a complimentary fusion green tea drink when we left. Would recommend this spot for a casual low cost Asian cuisine dining experience. They also had one of the best tasting Unagi rice bowls I've had in the immediate area.

We were seated immediately and our waters came promptly. We needed a bit of time to look over the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. We ordered the chicken tan tan dumplings, which came out quickly and were fabulous. I ordered a paitan ramen with pork belly and my husband got the spicy tan tan with a mix of ground beef and pork. I thought the pork belly was hard to eat the way it was served, but I also think it was a standard way to serve it so it was a me problem. The spicy tan tan is ONLY spicy because of the meat and our server said it was probably a 2/5 on spice, but you can spice up the broth more if you want. Overall, great experience. Clean location with lots of parking, good food with a variety on the menu, and great service. We'll be back!

The bowl was loaded with a ton of lettuce or cabbage and piles of green onions, which totally threw off the balance of the dish. Before, the flavor was rich, deep, and spicy in a satisfying way. This time it felt watered down, overly bulky from the vegetables, and the overall taste just did not resemble what I remember at all. It felt like a completely different recipe. On top of that, the restaurant was dead at lunch, which was surprising for this place. The inside layout and seating have also been changed, and the space feels less cozy and more awkward than before. The whole vibe is just different. I hate writing this because this used to be the OG best ramen spot in town, but it has gone really downhill. Between the recipe change, the overload of greens, and the interior changes, it just was not the same experience. With so many new and better options around Austin now, I will not be returning. Sadly.....Check the last two photos for reference - time/date stamp.

We didn't have a reservation (2 people) but we luckily didn't have to wait and got seated at the large communal table. I got the tonkotsu black, which was delicious as usual. It's actually very difficult to make the Chashu so tender and flavorful and keeping the broth smooth and warm. I love it!! My husband got the red tonkotsu, which is the spicier version. The spice level ranges from 1-10 and he picked 7. When I tried it, I coughed. It was a smoky, spicy flavor that was not enjoyable for me. When he tried it, he said it wasn't spicy enough, so the server gave him extra spices to dump inside the broth and what was a mild red became a pure red liquid. He was sweating so much but was so happy LOL. If you pick levels 6-10, it costs $1 extra. This is at the Domain, so you can park at any garage for free.
