Vegetarian pizza slices. The slice was nothing to write home about. Judging by the lack of reviews no one even bothers to eat there.

I AM a certified food service manager by the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois , when you first walked in to the restaurant there was a very strong odor if I were the management I would remove the rugs near the door and apply bleach to the floor . When I left after eating the strong smell was again very noticeable . I AM assuming that it was caused by the excessive rain this summer .

I was in Chicago for the weekend and did not want to leave without trying a deep dish pizza. One of…read morethe food delights Chitown is known for. The first two bites filled my mouth with savory flavor, but afterwards it didn't stimulate my taste buds. There is a lot of cheese on the bottom of the crust and the meat, sauce and topping just sits on top of it so there's no flavor to the cheese. It's just a thick melted cheese. Elizabeth the waitress was really nice and she suggested I get the butter crust. She let me know the butter makes the crust crispy. Once again not a lot of flavor to the crust it was just crispy in spots and then clumps of dough stuck to the cheese. I eventually just removed my toppings and left the cheese and crust on the plate. I would have liked to take a bite out of my pizza and received a combination of flavors but the amount of cheese on the bottom takes away from the full savory pleasure of eating the toppings. It's so thick you could choke on the cheese. The crust didn't have a flavor either. At one point I thought I tasted like baking soda or powder. The crust really only served as a shell. The restaurant was nice. They put me next to a lovely fireplace. I wish they had lit it. It was chilly out that day and the fireplace would have really given a warm inviting ambiance to the room. The staff made up for the lack there of and everyone was really kind. It ended up that Elisabeth forgot to return my credit card and didn't catch it either, so unfortunately I had to make a long trek back out to the restaurant and then rush to the airport to catch my flight. Everyone was very welcoming and I enjoyed talking to them while I waited to get my card back. I wouldn't go back there for deep dish but I have a friend who raves about Malnati's deep dish pizza, so please don't let my experience with my pizza stop you from going. The staff was really nice and that definitely made up for it.

Took 30 minutes to get our salads and the entries took another 20 minutes. Okay, the beet salad with balsamic dressing was very good. The Caesar was standard, it was fine. The pizza was tasty but the salmon, likely the same as we get at Costco, was completely over cooked and the veggies were overly charred. Not a bad looking place but trying to understand how they were out of two pasta dishes, the most interesting on the menu by 6:30pm, pretty early that night....wont likely be back.

Posted hours closed before my pizza was ready for pick up and they still accepted my order. Was greeted with a smile and didn't feel rushed at all even thought they were definitely closing up. Takeout does take one hour. As a New Yorker, I generally find midwest pizza to taste cheap. This place tastes like real ingredients and is ACTUALLY good.

This was our first time here and George's mom was really kind in explaining the salad and pizza options, we didn't know that it took three (3) days to prepare the sourdough crust!! We decided to have the Halas Tavern thin crust which comes with sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. This pizza came out hot, crispy, and had an equal amount of ingredient in every bite. Notice the sausage in every single piece. I would say this is the best thin crust in the city!! We also enjoyed the deep dish Clooney - which comes with pepperoni and sausage and a Greek salad with feta cheese. Both of these were excellent. I think we need a name change to George's Deep Dish And - Tavern Style!! Hope to be back asap for that thin crust, Tavern style!!

Tbh, there…read moreare two great pizza restaurants near me but they would have required closer to an hour for my order. Decided to call in an order w/ Rosati's and see if a full pizza was worth the expenditure. Ordered one of their speciality pies, the Windy city (hot giardinera, sausage, garlic and onions) and a side salad. Food was ready in less than twenty minutes. The pizza is simply average pizza. Although hot, the cheese was dense and thick. It looks like cheap quality. Any person with cheese in their refrigerator owns better cheese. Why do they use such a poor quality of cheese? And then we have the pizza crust. So damn dense for thin crust, I don't want to waste stomach space on boring carbs but I also cannot trash money! I had asked for extra sauce and it wasn't applied. Awful pizza. I never thought I would find a pizza that Little Caesars could outshine, this is it. The salad was artfully composed. Cucumber slices, red onion slivers, some cheese and crisp lettuce. Thank goodness for a decent salad. Other reviewers claim to like the pizza and other items. They didn't specify pizza crust type. Maybe their deep dish is best and other entrees are worth trying? These are things I will never come to realize. I agree with the other reviewer, the unfortunate reality for Rosati's brand is that location to location the pizza is different.
