Vegetarian pizza slices. The slice was nothing to write home about. Judging by the lack of reviews no one even bothers to eat there.

The outside is deceiving, as the restaurant is in a sort of strip-mall-like space. But once you walk in, the interior is lovely. Bright, nice decor, and not too loud. David was our server, and he was lovely. At first glance, the prices seem slightly high but are totally in line with the amount of food you get. My friend and I had the beet salad. It could have fed 3 people as an appetizer salad, and it was delicious! We also split the grouper vodka sandwich. I am not a sandwich person, but that caught my eye, so we ordered it. It was definitely enough for 2 people, and it was yummy. We were full, but topped dinner off with the flourless cake à la mode. The cake was OK, and the vanilla ice cream seemed to have freezer burn, so that was disappointing. But it will not stop me from coming back. I 100% recommend this place, and my friend and I will make it one of our go-tos.

The food was out of this world. I started with the Arancini's which came out fresh, hot, and reminded me of East Coast fine Italian. Garnished well, full flavor. The tea Ms. Yourtana recommended was amazing, and I recommend the Ravioli with truffle as she did. They didn't miss a beat at Nuovo Chicago and I will certainly be stopping in whenever I can for lunch. What a great experience and beautifully set up restaurant.

Following my experience with Ken's Diner & Grill, I discovered Sarah's Brick Oven listed within the…read more'People also viewed' section of its yelp page. Out of several other restaurants listed, Sarah's was the only one that captured my interest, plus it was a restaurant that I had not visited before in Skokie. Sarah's Brick Oven itself is linked to Sarah's Tent, a market for kosher products that is located where Oakton St connects with N Crawford Ave in Skokie. And in spite of it being linked to Sarah's Tent, there is an acceptable number of parking spots available. After entering and having plenty of time to look at the menu above the counter, and even on the laminated menu, I was acknowledged shortly after the customer ahead of me had finished ordering. I took an interest in the impossible burger after contemplating between the truffle mac & pizza, and the norma jean burger after I noticed that the impossible burger came with barbecue, onion rings, and served on a pretzel bun! And it was completed within a reasonable timeframe. I opted out of dine-in, choosing to take my order to go because I had errands I needed to complete, plus I did not want to be in the area long. Moreover, the restaurant appeared clean, and the atmosphere gave off a very relaxed vibe. There were a number of tables with seats inside of the dining area, and I must say that I adored the interior, and the ceiling decoration which gave off sukkot vibes. As for the food, other than my jaw popping because I had to open my mouth wide to take a bite of that stacked impossible burger, I enjoyed the satisfying taste of it once I had gotten settled in for the evening. It was delicious! And I most definitely recommend it if you are having trouble identifying something to try on the menu at Sarah's. Being that I had a good experience, I would gladly re-visit Sarah's Brick Oven again whenever in the Skokie area. Or maybe I will just make a visit solely for it, tehehe. Service: 4 | Atmosphere: 4 | Food: 5 Recommendations: truffle mac & pizza, norma jean burger, impossible burger, pestorella, spinach almondina, black forest, eggplant shakshuka pizza, truffle alfredo, koh panghan pasta, eggplant lasagna, sicilian panini, avocado sandwich, omelette sandwich, sarah's acai bowl, tropical bowl, or crispy sweet potato salad. ~ To live well is to eat well. ~ Thomas G

On a Sunday afternoon, starting to shop for Passover, we decided to go to the Hungarian Market (now…read morecalled Hungarian By Sarah's Tent). We were hungry and opted to try Sarah's Brick Oven. It's in the same parking lot. If you aren't familiar with Kosher Restaurants, since you cannot mix milk and meat, there are dairy restaurants and meat restaurants. So, no meat here. They have a cute dining room and the orthodox or Chasidim are behind the counter and in the kitchen to ensure the laws of Kashrut are being done correctly. You order at the counter, pay, and pick your meal up at the counter when it's ready. My wife had an Italian Panini and I ordered Eggplant Shakshuka. The presentation of both dishes was fabulous. And, they were really delicious. Pricing is a bit high because, well, Kosher food costs more. I have to admit that the food was well worth the few extra dollars. Definitely a must try for anyone curious. It's very good.
