Batista was super friendly and didn't miss a beat! Cozy little hole in the wall. Cinnamon roll and pecan roll were delicious. We will be back

Needed to meet a friend and get a cup of coffee at the same time. Great spot to make both those things happen. Nestled in the Garland District, this quaint bakery / coffee shop has a lot to offer. Walking in you get welcoming smiles from staff and a whiff of baked goods. Thank god there was a display case between me and everything they had to offer. Nothing sparks my attention more than sweets. However, that day when I came in--I needed more than that. Coffee: 8oz cappuccino was well-crafted and I enjoyed the espresso roast they use. To me it had a happy medium robust flavor. Goes to show how much they care about the products they serve. Bravo! Food: BREAKFAST BAGELS here definitely hit the spot. You get a pick your bagels which comes with a baked egg, Canadian bacon, and cheddar cheese. I'm not much of a bagel fan but I was delightfully surprised. Coffee and bagel orders can pile up, so there may be a little wait but don't be disappointed. It's worth the wait here.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.
