Last year bad meat twice. Last month moldy bread. Convenience not worth risk to health. Ongoing problem.

I am giving 5 stars as this is a great store and not too expensive for the convenience it lends. But.. yesterday morning Sept 7 we were there, in the aisle by the deli when I heard the older guy who works at the deli shout out to someone in the back "Hey I was in Woodbourne, and we got our County back!" A lady's voice from the back said What??. So he repeated in a louder voice as I peeked around the corner to see him facing the back wall and hollering. Woodbourne has a lot of summer Hasidic visitors, so one can see he was referring to the fact that is is early September and most have left for the summer, that they take 'his' County away in the summer but now it 'belongs' to us (non-Jews again), the rightful 'owners'. As two Jewish people ourselves, we were shocked and very saddened by having to have to hear this believed about us. We live in a country that is for all, and I welcome any person from any faith or other place on this planet to move onto my street and call it home. Please management have a word with this Archie Bunker (from the back, he kinda looked like Archie) and educate him to the true meaning of America and also to keep his anti-Semitic comments to himself when in public. read more

We love the deli sandwiches, but since they are no longer using Boars Head, the corned beef is so tough as to be inedible. Best to take it off your menu. The roast beef and turkey are still excellent. read more

As another reviewer noted, this store is good in a pinch if you don't want to travel too far. But the prices are pretty steep, especially the produce. The customer service is usually so-so with somewhat friendly staff. But a young woman treated me rather rudely today, which is the reason I'm writing this review. She barreled up the ramp behind me with a load of shopping carts (which she returned from the parking lot). Because I recently had spine surgery, I almost literally had to jump out her way! Then I asked her a question about the kind of plant I was about to purchase, and she said "You'll have to ask one of them," meaning the staff at the other registers. Not one of them would check the name of the plant or call downstairs to find out. When I asked the young lady, she snottily insisted that they had answered my question when they clearly had not! G-Mart in Wurtsboro is also somewhat overpriced, but since the produce is fresh and the staff are always exceptionally friendly, I plan to do my local shopping there and avoid Rock Hill from now on! read more

Expansive store with groceries and hardware. Prices are comparable to shopping on Instacart in NYC but only game in town. So glad they had local eggs. Glad they had great snacks and drinks. Also a handy discounted sock bin. Vegetables aren't the greatest though read more

Good in a pinch but that's about it. The "everything store" Grocery/Hardware/outdoor/seasonal. Better less expensive options 10 minutes away in larger stores. read more

Ridiculously overpriced. Obviously the city transplants are accustomed to these prices, but this isn't Manhattan.

I needed a small hardware item which they had. It was $6.29. When I got it home I noticed that there was a whole stack of price tags stuck to the package. Top to bottom, $6.29, $5.49, $4.79, and finally $4.29. So after purchasing the item from their supplier, Trading Posts price went from $4.29 up to $6.29. A two dollar increase on a $4.29 item. Almost 50%. Now it would be different if their supplier had raised their prices, but this is, in my opinion, pure greed. read more

A little Ace sits inside this hardware/grocery store. You can also pick up beer here... they're very friendly and they opened up a new line in the checkout when they saw we were going to be waiting in line otherwise! Prices aren't too bad, either. read more

The two stars are ONLY for the nice job the new owners did to make the stores appearance cleaner and more up to date. That is all... Their prices are absolutely revolting! $12.99 per pound for a London broil steak, usually one of the cheapest cuts of beef you can buy. The pricing is ridiculous!! I'd like to support local businesses during these times, but I am on furlough from work and not collecting unemployment..who the hell can afford to pay these prices! It's disgusting to take advantage of our community! Let me tell you to avoid this place and keep your money in your pocket. Strawberries for $6-8 a quart. I'll grow my own, thank you! Also, they sell expired Capt' Crunch, Cheerios etc.. cereal for $4 claiming half price! Price gouging at its finest. Taking advantage of the covid 19 pandemic and selling hand sanitizers at the register for 4 times the price!!! I am appalled and will NOT shop at this local establishment again. read more

I am medically unable to wear a face covering due to a lung condition. I was refused service at this location because of this. When I stated I can't because of a medical condition, I was told then "to get your sick ass the fuck out of my store, people like you can't shop here then." By the owner. (Mr. Butch Resnick) It's discrimination to not allow me to shop and have the ability to purchase groceries because of a condition I have no control over. So because of my medical condition I am refused the same equals rights and service as everyone else. read more

I've been here a whole bunch of times in the past 5 years. Its an interesting place, grocery store and hardware/tools store. so, depending on your need, they likely have it. The people who work in the tool area are very nice and always able to find whatever obscure thing I'm looking for. The grocery store is fine for the staples, I've never bought veges there. They do have some nice ice creams on occasion. The employees are always very nice. Parking is ok here, but sometimes gets tight. read more

I've been living in Sullivan County for 50 years and I've been going to this establishment with my mom and by myself all these years just to pick up odds and ends it's extremely expensive the produce is always wilted it's a good store to go when you need a last-minute item but they don't takePride in their store I do not recommend for shopping there for a lot shop it's too expensive and the meat is horrendous you can go see for your self the prices are ridiculous and the meet is always brown read more

rudest and laziest deli counter people i've ever met in my life. they can't make a sandwich for s***. they charge you $8 for a sub without anything except meat. no condiments no lettuce tomato onions nothing. and then when you ask for them to add it and get all snotty. today i went in to see if they had chili and the lady over the counter said "we don't have time to make chili." as if it's my fault that she has job and that she hates her job so she was taking it out on me. she was so rude. so i came back at her and said "you don't have time to make chili but you have enough time to stand there and eat the goods though right?". i turned around and walked out. previously: came here for anything until resnick bought it and jacked up all the grocery items. more than doubled. its beautifully renovated but at a price to customers. no thanks cuz shoprite and aldi's are just 5 miles away. the old place was just fine and i liked that it was stuck in the 20th century. their chili is really good though. i would go back for that. read more

Since it's not publicly known I figured I'd write a review. Their deli is open until 8pm but apparently they clean their slicers at 7:55 so if you go between 7:55 and 8, they will refuse to help you. If you're open until 8, you shouldn't be turning customers away. read more

Someone I know worked there. They told me if the produce department staff come across fruit or vegetables that are moldy, the produce department staff are forced to wash it off and make it appear healthy in order for it to be sold. Then whatever can't be made to look pretty goes to the deli department so they can cook it or slice it and use it in their salads, soups, hot prepared meals or sandwiches. All outdated or expired food goes to the deli department to be used or the owner takes it to his restaurants down the street to be used. Milk, butter, eggs, pre-packaged food, sausages, bacon. They also said they leave their food out for several hours where flies land on it knowing flies lay maggots on food. The walk in refrigerator in the meat department has mold growing all over the floor, walls and shelves and they just covered it up with some metal sheets. The food prep areas never get sanitized and the dishes are not washed with soap. This place is gross. Never eat anything out of there that isn't prepackaged. read more

I was new to the area and doubted that I'd find anything I needed here. I knew I had to check the big boxes in Monticello if I hoped to get necessary stuff for getting our house up and running. Well, big boxes had nothing that I needed. Orders would take 2 weeks!! I said to my wife that we'd try the Trading Post. Both of us were very dubious, but decided to try anyway. THEY HAD THE STUFF!! We've been back several times since, and each time they had what I needed. And their prices are not bad. Even when they're busy, someone stops to ask if I need any help, and every time they knew exactly where the product was. I don't stop here as a last resort anymore. This is where I begin and save a lot of gas and mileage by not having to drive all the way to Monticello. Good job, guys. Well done. read more

This establishment's manager, Rose, was extremely rude to me when I walked in with a service dog. I was about to spend some cash, but since I was treated so terribly with my disability, I turned and left quick. Filed a report with New York State. I'm sure they'll hear from them. read more

This store is great and has everything from painting supplies to making you a sandwich. Very close to the exit off 17. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices can be a little high for the area but considering the amount of space and staffing required and its not a big chain store it is what it is to keep the doors opened. read more
