Don't bother going anywhere else! Rock and Rose landscape is by far the best company and group of people I have ever done a home project with. From the very beginning when I first reached out to Juan to the last day of our project, Juan and his dudes were amazing. Not only is Juan responsive, attentive, but his passion for design, landscape and life in general is what really sold me. Within 24 hours of meeting him, he had an itemized bid, a drawing and some design ideas sent to my email. The project took a total of 8 weeks, with several days off so I would say maybe 6 total. I loved the end result and have attached a few pics (they do not do this yard justice): They installed a flagstone walkway, planted 23 plants and some ground cover, created a really pretty wall made of similar colored rock around the new landscape, painted the front of my house, installed drip irrigation and upgraded drainage beyond the project area to ensure that there would be no flooding. Lighting along the walkways, and underneath the wall was also installed. His team also installed a wall fountain in the courtyard, and went ahead to install timers for the lights and the fountain. A nice touch that I didn't' expect was that Juan had his team wire the fountain and the lighting so that it was well hidden. I can't tell you how many people will do work and leave trash behind, and not think about the esthetics, but Juan's team took all of that into consideration. He worked with me on prices and stayed true to his original bid. I really appreciated how kind his team was and how courteous they were to my space and my home, which is my sanctuary. Thank you again, Juan! read more

Juan, the owner of Rock & Rose Landscape created a dry creek bed for me several years ago and I have had the pleasure of enjoying his masterpiece ever since. I have recently hired Juan and a crew member to help with a small planter that had issues with a slope with drainage problems. And what I received is now a planter that not only functions properly, but is beautiful as well. Juan and his crew are very talented people. Thank you, Rock & Rose Landscape. 5 Stars! read more

Juan is an amazing human and an exceptional landscape contractor. He remodeled our back patio with pergolas and landscaping year and je and his team were terrific to work with. Juan did an incredible job with our backyard! We drew up our ideas and interviewed several different companies before making a choice. It was really easy to determine when meeting with different contractors that some were in way over their heads and others were so unbelievably over priced that it was crazy to consider them. Juan had the knowledge and skills to do everything we needed and didn't quote us crazy numbers. We had a budget set with a "not to exceed" for everything we wanted, and we're aware that things cost money. Our expectations were set from the beginning and though we added to the list along the way we knew those changes would cost extra, and Juan was totally reasonable with the charges when making additions. You'll only do this once, likely, so we found things we needed (more wanted) to add along the way. It's hard to see everything in the beginning of the project, so we were glad Juan's patience and ability to work with us financially to make this backyard truly the nicest space we've ever had to enjoy outside. Without a doubt Rock & Rose Landscape is a quality and efficient as well as affordable company and I'd recommend you give them your business. I have great pics of the process for all to see! read more

He was able to get started very quickly. His team did fantastic, quality work and got the job done in a little over 4 weeks. We definitely would recommend him for any job, big or small. We did an extensive project on our front, side and back yards. We hired a landscape designer and our project came in over budget. Juan was great to work with. He helped us reduce the cost and his ideas looked as good if not better than the original plan. Juan communicates well, his work is well done and when we had a small problem with a water leak he came and fixed it the next day. I have already recommended him to a friend and highly recommend him to you. read more

I have used Rock & Rose twice thus far. The first time, I called many landscape contractors after there was a car accident in our front yard. I was surprised how others did not return my call, did not return it promptly, or missed the consultation time. The car accident insurance company sent out an emergency repair company who was cordial but just didn't seem to know as much about landscaping. I found R&R from an old file from the previous homeowner on contractors and didn't know what to expect. Juan arrived on time and was cordial, clear, and efficient in going through the assessment. I asked him a ton of questions and was very specific about what I wanted, since I just didn't know what to expect. He patiently answered them all clearly. He gave me cost and timing, and agreed to start in a few days as opposed to other people who said they'd start in 2-4 weeks. Also, he was able to suggest things that may better suit my needs (materials, design, etc.) as well as find me ways to optimize (we can fix that rather than having to replace it) and save me money without sacrificing quality. Juan's crew repaired and replaced a concrete pillar. It was then re-stucco'd, painted, and the landscape lighting that was damaged was fixed. They color-matched so that both the repaired and original match. They repaired and repainted the gates and rebuilt part of a retaining wall. They also put down a decomposed granite area for me. It was all perfect and affordable. And it was on time! Later this year, I needed some help in the backyard when our sprinkler panel blew out and started leaking. He replaced the entire electrical panel (ours was outdated a little jerry-rigged together) and also moved it to a better spot in our yard. He was scheduled to come out on a day that started to rain. I called to see if he wanted to cancel, but he and his crew came out anyway and worked in the rain to finish it for me as promised. Both of these were unplanned/emergency yard projects, and he was professional, easy to communicate with, and did great work. We plan to do some planned work in our yard soon, and I already know that we will call Juan for it. Such a relief to have a go-to person for it. In a nutshell, I'd say that Rock & Rose was a pleasant surprise: - professional, cordial, on-time, on-budget, excellent work - great on hardscaping and with materials - excellent with lighting/electrical, plumbing/irrigation work - advice on plants and trees (questions as well as replanting, moving) - flexible and willing to help with peripheral services as well (tree pruning, spraying) - all this and licensed!! read more

Juan and the Rock & Rose team did an incredible job with our backyard! For those who say these guys can't handle a big job they're just plain wrong. We had the pleasure of having Juan and his talented team completely redesign our backyard. We had pavers installed, a new gas line for a new fire pit and BBQ, and a raised deck. Both Juan and his team were attentive to our requests and understood our end goal of wanting a backyard paradise. They more than delivered. Juan is very experienced and knowledgeable and this helped a lot as we knew very little about hardscaping. He even helped us pick out the best plants for our backyard and was extremely patient with us. Since the backyard was completed, we have got Rock and Rose to install a brand new fence for us, and he is even doing more work for our neighbors. We plan on getting his team to work on our front yard as soon as we save up the pennies. Keep Rocking and Rosing! :-) read more

Juan came out a measured the lineal feet for a new fence and I was told he would get back to me with a quote the following week. Despite several attempts to reach him he never bothered to respond. As a courtesy, if he was too busy to do a quote then just say so, don't leave potential customers hanging. read more

Juan helped us with our backyard demo. He gave us a reasonable quote, and they got right to work. They leveled it, put in new concrete, planters and a new fire pit. They worked very fast, and the final result turned out great. He has always answered my texts quickly and has been nothing but helpful. read more

We can't say enough great things about Juan and his team! Juan did a backyard remodel for us and worked wonders. They pushed our hill back and created an area with a beautiful fireplace as well as a grill/bar area. We are so happy with it! He and his team took care of every little detail. We had interviewed a few different people before and one of the reasons we chose Juan was because he was very attentive, personable, had great ideas, and fair pricing. Juan and his team were extremely hard working and very professional. I completely trust them and highly recommend! read more

Juan completely renovated our backyard this past summer. We looked at several different options and contractors before deciding on Rock and Rose Landscape. Juan offered a fair price and had a team engaged with the project for over a month before completing the work. The results were amazing and as part of the job the team laid concrete, put in a custom fire pit and added a large natural waterfall/fountain. Juan followed up several times after the job was complete to make sure we were satisfied with the results. They came back for 2-3 more days to replant some of the plants for better placement, adjust the waterfall, and re-evaluate the sprinklers. We can't provide enough positive feedback on the work completed by this team. Very high quality and reliable. We will definitely use Rock and Rose again. read more

The best! We first reached out to Juan and needed some work done in our backyard. We had a terrible water problem, literally a bubbling geyser. He took out all of the old concrete, installed an amazing drainage system, and designed a backyard that we love so much! He designed a retaining wall, an amazing concrete patio,And even installed all of the sprinklers and plants. When we decided to do some work on our front yard, we knew Juan was the person to call. Of course his design, and expertise, and impeccable work exceeded our expectations! He is quick to respond, Listens to what the customer wants, and puts an amazing design plan in action. He was able to get out and do the work faster than we expected, and as always, his crew did a beautiful job, and a wonderful clean up! We already have compliments from the neighbors... Don't hesitate to use this company, in our opinion they are the best! read more

We just had our backyard redone by Rock and Rose Landscaping and I can't say enough good things about Juan and his company. After having consulted with many other people, I knew immediately Juan was the person I wanted to do business with. He is amazingly creative, easy to work with and quick to respond to phone calls. His price was fair, especially compared to other estimates we received. His team of workers were all very nice, reliable, responsible and excellent at their particular skill/job. They created a beautiful waterfall, firepit, flagstone patio and installed artificial grass. It has far exceeded our expectations and we are out there enjoying it all every free moment we have. I highly recommend using Juan and Rock and Rose Landscape when you want to create your own outdoor haven! read more

This was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. My yard was a mess-another landscaper didn't want the job. Juan showed up on time for our appt (big plus), I told him what I was looking for and he came up with a plan. A far better plan than I would have come up with-he is very creative. I was afraid the cost of just installing pavers around my pool would be exorbitant, but once he quoted me the cost, I was able to add on so much more! Rock wall, fire pit, lighting - it is so beautiful! Looks like a resort! Juan and his crew do all the work, he is so knowledgeable - even re-tiled my patio table. I loved working with him. And, after the last check was written, he didn't disappear. A few minor things needed to be addressed and he came out of a Saturday and took care of them. Will use him when it's time to do my front yard. Only wish he did kitchen remodels! read more

Juan did a great job landscaping my front yard with drought tolerant plants. He was very attentive to what I wanted, flexible, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to work with. My yard looks great. His quote was reasonable - mid range of 4 quotes I received. I recommend Rock and Rose and am very pleased I went with them. read more

I was recently looking for someone to rip out my driveway and install pavers. I called around and I got three estimates; one from Rock and Rose Landscape. It didn't take long after meeting Juan Martinez for me to realize that he was the guy for the job. He was creative, professional, and his prices were very competitive. The entire job took 7 days to complete and he was working along side his crew each day. Juan has his own team and his own equipment....no subcontractors and Juan is licensed. There were approximately 4-5 people working each day and they were all very courteous and professional. I was extremely impressed as I watched as my wife and kids walk to the car each morning. His crew would stop what they were doing( ie. turn off the Bobcat or stop swinging the sledge hammer) so that my family could safely walk to the car. Juan was also very fair with some small add on jobs (low voltage lights, fixing a broken faucet, and some additional landscaping). I highly recommend Juan Martinez and Rock and Rose Landscape to anyone looking for landscape construction. read more

I had Juan Martinez, and Rock and Rose Landscape lay stone bricks on the avenue part of my property- the area in front of my house between the side walk and street. Let me start by saying I am a very particular individual and Juan's work is Top Shelf. I could tell he knew what is was talking about in regards to tying in the colors of my house and landscape, so I just listened to his ideas and followed his advice. The end result looks amazing. Juan and his crew cut no corners while doing the install. They dug out the existing pavers and earth and gave me a hearty back fill on base for my new brick work. The part that impressed me the most was how RnR cut the thick bricks WITH a radius in them to follow the contour of my water meter box. That's a true sign of quality that I struggle to find these days. The only dilemma was a crew member accidentally cut my water main while digging out the old material. Juan had an experienced plumber there to fix the issue within the hour. I had zero time to get concerned before it was fixed and I was back in business. Juan footed the bill without a flinch. Thanks, Juan and RnR I love the job! read more

This company is well deserving of five stars! Juan came in at the end of December, and even above the quality of work, he proved he is a man of his word! What he said he would do - he did it! It's just that simple. With an incredible eye for the design of the patio, he created an environment we can enjoy with our kids, our grandchild and our grand dogs! His attention to detail was amazing and he was very aware that my wife and I were on holiday break. His team was very respectful as well. At the end of the day, the team left with equipment put away and/or placed in the yard to reflect their professional approach to their craft. We feel we have just added a huge living area to our home! This small business is completely capable of competing with any, regardless of the size. I am confident that in coming days if attention is needed to this project, Juan will more than be available to assure our satisfaction. #AsGoodAsItGets read more

We had an amazing experience with Juan and his team! Juan spent a lot of time with us going over landscape details. My husband and I are new home owners and we bought a new build home with a dirt backyard! We were very overwhelmed, but Juan took his time and went through the entire process with us in detail. We got a couple estimates and Juan was definitely competitive with pricing and we just felt very comfortable with him. Let's just say we are so happy we went with Juan and his team!! They did an incredible job and worked within our budget. We get so many compliments on our backyard from friends and neighbors, we would highly recommend Juan and his crew! read more
