We had a fun weekend lunch here. The ambiance is great! The servers were pretty busy. The spanakopita was okay and felt reheated and not crispy, but the breakfast choices I saw coming out looked better. It's a fun place to come for the experience!

I don't normally give 5 stars but this place was amazing! It's very cute and unique as the restaurant is from a train. The servers were very attentive and the food is delicious. We got the corned beef hash and the beef rib. Would definitely stop by again whenever passing through.

Cool vibe inside - retro and fun. Nice, friendly service. Food was fresh and good ! Salsa wash fresh and breakfast burrito was not greasy totally fresh and delicious! We met the owner on the way out and my husband congratulated him on how nice the experience was for us. We will be back !!!

Food was average, service was fast but waitress not too friendly. Quant location and nice atmosphere. Pricing was also about average

On the way to another place and saw this cute diner. We were greeted nicely and our waitress was friendly. Ordered shrimp and chips. Replaced fries for a salad. Shrimp had too much breading and were small in size. Almost bay shrimp size. Also ordered clam chowder in bread bowl. Bowl was smaller than a typical bread bowl. They also butter the top. The clam chowder was average at best. The buttered top was tasty but caused indigestion for the next few hours. $40 for the above, 2 waters and a cup of soup. Seems okay for price although really only one entree and no drinks. Glad to have checked it out but won't return. If you go order the Greek food. Advise from a local after-the-fact

I've driven past this establishment a few times and made it a point to return, so I did. Arriving at noon on a Saturday was dicey but to my surprise it wasn't busy...yet, being seated was a snap and coffee was soon at my table along with two different menus one for food and the other for drinks. Once more I find myself at the coast and a desire of seafood came over me much like a wave on a sandy beach, with my bifocal sunglasses on (sigh) I navigated the menu and settled in on a crab melt with a side of fries and a cup of clam chowder. The first wave of food came in the form of the ever popular cup of chowder and I must say they didn't scrimp on the clams, with a few oyster crackers sprinkled on top I soon began my journey through the sea to the island of Yum. The voyage with filled with beautiful scenery as I was finishing my creamy cup-o-chowder the server delivered the crab melt that I was anticipating while enjoying every spoonful of chowder, with a side of ranch dressing and a squirt of ketchup I paddled through a few French fries before tackling the melt and as a lover of garlic the first bite was as if I found a treasure of flavor. By now the restaurant was filling up with new passengers and it seemed my timing was perfect and my voyage was about to end I must say the experience was worth the travel from Fresno and the drive back was a bit more pleasant with the memories of an excursion to an iconic restaurant on the coast

Riquisimo good food , good service , good ambiance and more ! Of course, I'm not gonna lie over. Everything was epic and nice. Thank you so much.

Spanish Salmon plate . Very good

I recommend trying this place at least once if you are in the area. The service was top notch and employees were super attentive, friendly and kind. The atmosphere was fun, as the diner is made of two train cars. The restroom was super clean, too. The food portions were generous. I had the Spanish Salmon. Lots of food and the salmons was cooked just right.

We love this place! Every time we come to town we go here. Food is great and the staff is incredible. My son has autism and everyone is so friendly and inviting. They answer all his train questions!

Inside train diner and had patio out back.

As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized by the refrigerator row of wine/champaign bottles. The bar area is well decorated with a dark background and small lights to emulate a dark starry night. Their service was not good in our L.A.-opinionated minds. Yes, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We waited maybe 20 minutes before someone eventually came to take our order. Mind you, the whole time we were ready to order, the waitress who seated us was walking back and forth, setting up tables around us. She clearly saw that we were ready to order but didn't even offer to take our orders or get another staff who could. This is a place to come to if you are NOT in a hurry and are here to simply chill and take life SLOCAL style. The food here seems like a fusion between American and Mediterranean style. 1. Octopus Appetizer (4.5/5) Large octopus tentacles served with a combination of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, roasted peppers) toasted with garlic and olive oil. The vegetables and octopus were all cooked very well. The octopus was fresh and melts in your mouth. 2. Grilled Asparagus (2.5/5) Large asparagus that's seasoned lightly, but it was not cooked correctly. It had a very stringy-fibery texture. 3. Philly cheesesteak (2/5) The hoagie bread was grocery store quality at best. We were sad that it wasn't even toasted or warmed up, so ended up ditching the bread/bun and just ate the inside. The cheese was at least nicely melted. The onion and bell peppers were fresh, but the steak was "meh." Definitely not quality beef. The beef itself was also not seasoned enough, so was bland and dry. 4. Onion rings (5/5) Fried to perfection. Loved that the onions were fresh and it was easy to pull apart with each bite. The aioli sauce that its served with is plain and bland though. 5. Crab cake (4/5): Crabby patty anyone? All I tasted was fried Panko batter. Wish the patty itself had more flavor and spice. The garlic aioli sauce that came with it though was good. 6. Dr. Marquis Salad (4/5): Fresh spring mix lettuce topped with ground beef and crispy bacon, tomato, sliced avocado and tossed with their house-made olive oil, salt and pepper dressing. Overall, it was a hearty salad with plentiful flavor. It was just a bit weird to have ground beef in salad, but I guess that's what makes this salad dish unique

Highly recommend these! The clam chowder was super filling and had a side of loaded fries which were garlicky - my fave! And the 805 wrap tasted just like an in n out burger. Great portions and everything tasted amazing. Plenty of items to choose from and they also have beer available. Indoor and outdoor seating so I was able to have my dog with me.

The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.
