We went for a cozy, warm with an elegant touch for a very VIP lunch on a cold day. We are always impressed with their level of service, friendly staff, attention to detail, and quality catering. Alongside other coworkers that got let go, only because their privacy was violated. people that aren't managers should not be allowed to go through laptops or text messages on other people's phone. The Director? HA. Doesn't listen to a thing ANY of her employees have to say. Many meetings, many empty promises. Go spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. food is awful, will never be made day of. things get prepped way before the events even happen. day of? reheat. if this is the kind of business you care about, continue. If you stand for morals, and you actually care about where your money goes- this is not the place for it. Your party and event coordinators just LOVE to drink on the clock! if you ever see them after your events, they're usually a few drinks in. you have a good time so they should too, right?! Also, you donate liquor to them, they RESELL IT ALL. Thunder party happened and a manager let is slip out to the front of house that they sell all donated liquor they don't use day off. So many issues with this company, there's not enough room to share it all. Just know, this company is completely a joke. No doing any kind of correct- sincere business with them.

We had our son's wedding and reception there. They were so accommodating for the entire event from decorating to the DJ ( which can make or break a wedding I might add) down to the clean up. The day could not have been more special for both families. I will strongly recommend Kokies to anyone whose planning a wedding that wants to have a memorable experience.

Mike, the…read moreowner and main coordinator, was easy to work with, even though we were planning long distance. The venue (Kokie's Echo Valley) is large so there's plenty of room for even a large group to spread out - our wedding was around 230. In fact, one guest pointed out that it felt like several venues in one, between the separate bar with a TV, the sitting area, the dance floors, and the cocktail table area. There were lots of kids at our wedding who liked being able to go around to different areas. There was also plenty of room for our photo booth. We had a band who set up their own equipment and that worked great for us. Plenty of room for a dance floor. The food was amazing - we had fried chicken and BBQ. Loved it. Since we had a lot of out of town guests we hired a bus to take them to the reception and back. Worked out great. A huge pro, which was also partially luck, was that we were able to start setting up decorations, table numbers, etc. the Thursday before our wedding. We wouldn't have been able to do that if there had been an event Friday, but some places won't let you in until the day of your event anyway. It's really nice to be able to get a head start so the day itself isn't so hectic. Pros: Food TV (hey, it's March Madness) Staff Plenty of room Cheaper than many similar places Good prices on the bar/alcohol (we had open bar) Beautiful outdoor area for pictures Mike lets you bring in prepackaged outside snacks for cocktail hour and desserts The lights strung across the ceiling really add a lot, decor-wise. Accessible for wheelchairs Early set up if available No pressure to spend money on their stuff. It's available if you need it, but Mike is generally fine with you bringing in a lot of your own stuff, with the obvious exception of food. Cons: Out of the way, although not hard to find, and still only 15 min from downtown Large building with lots of open space, which is a pro - but if you're planning on doing lots of decorating you'll need a lot of stuff to fill up the space. We are extremely happy with our experience!

The menu tonight was predetermined with great options. Service was a little slow tonight, but that is to be expected when the entire restaurant is at capacity with reservations. My husband and I loved the appetizers. It was a sample of shrimp cocktail, spinach dip with pita bread, and sriracha honey bacon brussel sprouts. I ordered the garden salad for my next course while my husband chose the broccoli mushroom chowder. We each enjoyed our choice. For the main course I had the marinated grilled chicken with creamy spinach and artichoke, and my husband had the 16 ounce bone in ribeye. Both main dishes came with a twice baked potato and roasted vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, bell pepper). My chicken was slightly overcooked, but it wasn't too noticeable with the creamy topping. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. We both enjoyed the sides. We got dessert to go as we were so full by that point. I chose the carrot cake and he got the cheesecake. Our son was very happy we decided to bring the desserts home so he could also try them. Both were delicious, but the carrot cake was the standout. We look forward to returning to have their regular menu.
