We had 18 friends meet here for Saturday brunch. They put us in the side room on a long table. The servers took our drink orders and once they were delivered it was on to ordering our meal. I ordered the Banana Nut French Toast. It comes with whipped cream, caramel sauce, fresh bananas and pecans. I asked for the caramel sauce on the side since I wasn't sure how much they would put over the toast. They ended up drizzling over the toast anyway, and giving me some in a bowl. It was delicious, and I ended up pouring all of it over the toast! For this large a crowd on a Saturday, the service did not take long. The servers were attentive, taking care of our coffee and checking on us. I've never had a bad meal here - breakfast or lunch - and would definitely recommend. read more

Very friendly service, but breakfast food was average. Kids enjoyed the pancakes, French toast tasted like IHOP, avocado toast was the worst thing we ordered. Toast was low quality wheat bread, not super toasted. The inside of the place was nice and clean. read more

Really great bbq with an amazing smoky flavor. Full bbq menu with all the sides. The brisket is delicious, perfectly crafted cooked to temp, well seasoned and nicely sliced. The smoked wings are quite large and smoked nicely too. The staff is great and welcoming. They have live music on occasion both inside and out back. Great place! read more

I had such high hopes for breakfast at Frankie's. Stuck between the Chilaquiles and the Steak and Eggs. Should have chosen the Chilaquiles. My steak was seasoned with a little too much pepper and way too much salt. My Breakfast Potatoes were ok but had a weird aftertaste, almost like a fishy taste. Couldn't nail down what the aftertaste was. The service was very good, attentive and pleasant. No luck today. If I'm back in the neighborhood I'll try something else there. read more

Stopped in for a late afternoon lunch, parking lot was empty and my first thought was... Walked in and was greeted and seated. Our waiter Alex was phenomenal. The restaurant was welcoming along with all of the staff. I had the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, they were excellent! The dipping sauce for the fries was delicious, I could have eaten my weight in the sauce. If you're in the area stop it, must have just been the slow time of the day for me. Our waitress was outstanding! She took the time to explain everything! Our group of four had a breakfast meal, chicken with mashed potatoes and the best green beans, a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and tres leche dip and the best tenderloin sandwich and fries. Absolutely amazing!!! Four star fine dining tucked in a strip mall. Frankie is super nice and has a lovely establishment. All the servers wear crisp clean white shirts, black tie, vest and black pants and each and everyone of the servers is pleasant! The food was some of the best we have had and we travel alot and stop at local restaurants. The brunch is out of this world as well as the supper! Mikael is the best bar tender/ barista. He made me the best decaf latte! His matcha tea latte was incredible. He even makes a special cold coffee with coffee icecubes (frozen espresso!!) and flavored it with carmel and pours milk over the icecubes. (He described it much better than i just did!) We loved each entree (and all the sides I added!!) We even got gift cards for our friends so they will come try this amazing restaurant!! We LOVE to go and eat at local places when we are out of town. This little gem in Evansville, IN did not disappoint. Do not let the outside facade fool you. Inside it is very quaint and clean with friendly service. A couple miles off the main area of Evansville but worth the short drive. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with roasted potatoes and my fiancé had tenders and fries. My mom had the burger with sweet potato fries. There was a sauce with the sweet potato fries that was different and delicious. I must say everything was very good. Very refreshing and a fantastic stop for a late lunch. I was impressed by the waiters. They would walk the patrons to the door and hold the door open for them as they left. Spectacular service! If you find yourself in the heart of Evansville and a bit hungry, this is definitely a place worth stopping by. Food, ambiance, service and even the price will not disappoint! Small spot in a fairly vacant strip mall. Ambiance wasn't anything special, but employees were decked out in black/white uniforms and were very friendly. Our waiter didn't hesitate to make suggestions and his recommendations were on point! The food and mimosas were perfect for this girls weekend. I would 100% recommend and visit again. read more

We've been here two times. And neither time have we been blown away by the food. Our service has always been good and the staff is well attentive. But the food is just okay. The restaurant itself doesn't seem to have a "theme" and I think if they honed in on some things it could be a good place. I wouldn't say the place is bad, it just isn't anything special. read more

I was greeted by a wonderfully professional staff, and everything was clean and welcoming. You can learn a lot about a place by starting with water and coffee. The water in Evansville is terrible, but here it was bottled or filtered and excellent, which carried over to the coffee. I recommend trying it black with a little salt--it's great! The menu features standard favorites along with some dishes that have a Latin flair. I need to explore it more thoroughly to truly appreciate the experience they offer. I tried the chorizo eggs benedict, served on what could be a homemade English muffin, and it was beautifully presented. Being a big guy, I didn't stop there. I also had chicken-fried steak and eggs, accompanied by fresh and ripe fruit--delicious, and not at all green for the dead of winter. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I ordered quite a bit, and I would definitely go back for any of the wonderfully prepared choices. This place is a gem, so take a little time to find it; just look for the packed parking lot. We used to go to Frankie's a lot. Good food good service. Good prices. This last time I paid the bill and noticed that there is a credit card surcharge listed at the bottom of the bill. So for our $30 breakfast we were charged a $1.00 for using a credit card. Use Cash? Really? So Frankie's is it worth it to lose regular customers over a dollar?? For husband's birthday, we tried a new place and loved it. A little hard to find but near White Castle and the eastside YMCA. Biscuits and gravy were delish but the show stopper was the fruity pancakes. The pancakes were homemade and incredibly light. And the fruit itself was absolutely perfect. Each sliced banana, strawberry and blueberry looked and tasted amazing. It's rare to see such care to make sure each fruit is top quality and yummy. We have found a new go-to for breakfast. Our waitress was super sweet and informative. She told us even their sushi is amazing. The owner worked for years in a Japanese restaurant and wanted to make sure good sushi was also an option here. We visited Frankie's on a Monday for a late lunch. Positive first: our server was very nice and attentive. That being said, we were the only customers seated at the table. Cons: Seated at the bar was someone we determined must be there quite often. She sang. Loudly. She sang to a playlist, perhaps of her own choosing that was not really what we deemed the best choice for the restaurant vibe. Our food was underwhelming and bland. We were very surprised. We chose this place based upon google reviews and, well, from our experience, we respectfully disagree. There was some sort of white powder all over one of the chairs. Not sure what it was. We simply traded that chair for another from a nearby table. Again. We were the sole customers seated at a table. We tried it. Maybe it was the day. Maybe it was because it wasn't breakfast. It's not upscale. I cannot imagine ever needing a reservation, but, again, this was our experience. Our server was very kind. Our water glasses were always full. We tipped accordingly. read more
