Bad motor mount

I normally refrain from writing bad reviews, but if this helps one customer, it's worth it. Unfortunately I'm my circumstance the dealer shoes to line it's pockets over reputation. Inquired about a vehicle that was listed 5k over the average listing price, photos and dialog with staff indicated it to be in "great"condition. I purchase many cars out of state, and have dealt with numerous dealers over the years. I asked if the car was inspected by the dealer when it was brought in, I was told "yes". Dealers will typically throw it on a lift, check fluids, etc to ensure the car is ready to sell. That being said, they certainly would have seen the rust, and should have informed me. It's rather unethical that they sold me a car in this condition, and I even reached out to see if they would make it right. They said the car wasn't legal in their state so they couldn't get a "state" inspection, which has nothing to do with my purchase since I'm in Alabama. Then they said this is just surface rust, no ownership, not integrity, and purely unethical. Highly recommend not dealing with this dealer if your out of state. I bought this car for slightly more than it's worth under the guise it was in great shape, and as you can see it was severely neglected. Coolant was also leaking, and if a tech looked at the spark plugs, I wouldn't even get my car serviced there. Im contemplating legal options, because the vehicle has been grossly misrepresented, and every opportunity to to be candid with its condition was missed, and likely hidden since I bought the car out of state. Any attempt to offer a remedy before this review fell on deaf ears. Couple updates in addition to the Google review posted: All three motor mounts are bad, rust throughout the undercarriage, oil filter was seized, and had to be cut off (no way the car saw service before being sold to me).... In general, there's no way they should have listed the car in the condition, or the price they did. Listen to the other reviewers, don't do business with them. I'm shocked they thought this was a 25k dollar car, these sold brand new for 19,000, and the cleanest examples of this car re-sale for about 20k. The fact that they overpriced in this condition seems to be a tactical money grab. Had I seen this car in person, I would have walked, which is why they could only find a buyer out of state....... They can come up with excuses that I had it inspected, but they know the exact condition of the car, and didn't disclose a single negative thing about the car, nor have they taken any ownership, no will they.

Management didn't explain well at all but the salesman was good and deserves a better dealership he was the only slightly good part if my families experience here. If you want to buy a car with a pre-approved loan going through with an electronic transfer (that is not with the dealership) from your place of choice that might take a bit to transfer dont try that here unless you want to hear "first come first serve" while you wait for the bank to transfer when you have it pre-approved and know it WILL go through. This was so stressful and really wasn't worth it as we aren't from super close by, the experience was so much time and effort for a car we really wanted and we just ended feel unfavored by the dealership with a long drive home and a loan to cancle.

In other words,…read moreI'll be listening to my music via my iPhone with the bluetooth connection and it switches spontaneously to the AUX input and then switches to the Sirius/XM tab, which I don't subscribe to so it's one big long infomercial on why I should have a Sirius/XM subscription. So I go online and download the most recent software update to a flash drive and use the instructions to install the update in my car. Voila! Success! But this doesn't fix the problem. I call uConnect and they do a bit of trouble shooting and the problem still persists. I'm told I have to bring it to the dealership which is where this business comes in. I make an appointment specifically telling them this problem on a Friday so they say they can look at it Monday, so far so good. I drop it off Sunday night and specifically write my problem on those night drop envelopes telling them why the vehicle is here and what the problem(s) is (are). I get told while at work today that the car is ready. So my wife picks it up. Dropped 541 dollars because I needed the oil changed and the rear defroster re-glued. But the invoice says they charged 199.95 as 'labor' for assessing the uConnect issue. The invoice says that uConnect went to 4G service and that my 'version' is 3G. It also said I'm to call uConnect and they're supposed to send 'hardware' to reconnect. So I follow this advice and the gentleman at uConnect says that 'wouldn't have anything to do with what your telling me' and puts me through to the same number that told me I had to bring it to the dealer the first time. So I oblige this person and follow their advice which, big surprise, doesn't work and she tells me to bring it back to the dealer. Now I call this dealership back and tell them that uConnect did not agree with anything that they recommended. I also confirmed that they charged me nearly 200 dollars essentially to do....what? Labor? I wish I could make 200 dollars for making a phone call. I almost wouldn't care if the information was valid but as stated above, uConnect told me that's not the issue. So now I'm out 200 dollars and getting the royal run around if it wasn't obvious from my description above. To make matters even worse, the service guy on the phone started to say that they didn't really know what the problem with the radio was, even though I took great pains to write out the problem on the back of the drop box envelope. I think everyone is familiar with those envelopes? They ask for everything including next of kin? I guess, they just grab the keys out and throw all that vital information in the trash. Because again, it's not like the customer used it to communicate critical information about the vehicle's problems to you. And then of course above all, the veiled attitude that how dare I question their labor charge when they did absolutely nothing for that 200 dollars except make one phone call. As a 'conciliatory' offering, he tells me to bring the vehicle back and he'll 'take another look at it and won't charge me'. Gee, thanks, I really appreciate that. Because I have all the time in the world to bring it back to them to have another look at the problem they didn't address the first time they had it. I won't even mention that they didn't bother to top off my tire pressure even though I put that on the drop envelope too...oops, I guess I just did. Next time, just tell me to bring it to someone else who cares about the quality of work they deliver for the price they charge. It will save me a lot of time and aggravation.

I just took it in to get it inspected and was told there are gaping holes in the frame, among a host of other problems that render the truck completely useless. Less than a year after purchase. Obviously I should have had it checked out by an independent mechanic - my mistake which I will never repeat. But does anyone know that in New Hampshire they are not legally obligated to disclose information about the vehicles? An hour before it was supposed to be sent up there, they decided that they would not send it to the garage, as they would just "tear it apart" over there, and it would be a waste of their time. When I asked if I could take it to a different mechanic, they REFUSED, and told me that if their 30-day warrantee and an inspection sticker wasn't good enough, then they would not sell it to me. So, take away point: THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO HAVE A MECHANIC LOOK AT THE CAR BEFORE I BOUGHT IT! If there is a bigger red-flag about a car or dealership, I can't think of one. At first it was that particular garage, but when I asked about going to another, the salesman said they were not going to let it go anywhere at all. And, nothing I said to the salesman could convince them otherwise, to the point where he told me "Look, I don't want to keep going around in circles and get aggravated with you - it isn't going to happen." Seeing other reviews here saying "Have your mechanic check out any car you want to buy here" or that they are a "rip-off", only makes it more clear to me that this is not a dealership to do business with. There are multiple others within a few minutes up the same road - my advice would be to drive on by Calef Hwy Auto.
