    Lobster Ravioli
    Shawna B.

Came here for the 1st time on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. We were welcomed very warmly by the staff and got to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant feels more like a cafe with cute chairs you would see in restaurant patios of Europe. Our server Matthew was very enthusiastic about the lobster ravioli which is what I ended up ordering. It was nice because the dish comes with jumbo sized shrimp and other veggies soaked in a delicious sauce. My husband ordered wings and devoured them. He mentioned next time we visit though, he'll get something that is actually italian. Overall, not overpriced for the quality, great customer service and a nice little addition to Flower Mound for Italian food.

The food is amazingly delicious and made with love! The service is outstanding and the servers are always extremely nice and will accommodate your every need. There is a comforting, warm ambience. We always come here for great home-cooked Italian food and an unforgettable experience. Bonus: you can bring your own bottle of wine with no corking fee. We love this place! Grazie y'all.

We really enjoyed our dining experience. Cute li'l place, excellent service and food. The garlic rolls and sauce were yummy. And oh my, the fried mac & cheese balls were amazing! Nice size salads. Our entrees didn't disappoint either, delicious and generous portions! Chicken Vodka Pasta and Spaghetti and Meat Sauce.

"Grazie, y'all!" It's impossible not to be instantly charmed by Rocco's in Flower Mound. Great vibe, super-friendly service, and it smells like fresh-baked pizza and pasta from the moment you open the door. We loved: * Variety: There's a lot of choices here. If you're hungry, it's hard to choose. * Flavor: Everything we had was elevated. The marina? Perfectly seasoned. The alfredo sauce? Buttery and rich. Desserts? Just the right amount of sweet but not overwhelming. * Value: We had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts - all for a total price still in 2 digits. Honestly I thought this was mainly a takeout place and expected the dine-in space to reflect that, but it's homey and welcoming. The chairs are even comfy. Stop in when you want some great Italian food.

    Eggplant parm

We ordered a few items from here, but I was very disappointed with the eggplant parm. This was probably the most underwhelming sandwich I have ever had. First the amount of eggplant in the sandwich was sad and they should feel bad charging people money for that. To top that off the bread was limp and crushed in the box. The taste matched the rest of the negatives about the sandwich. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!

    Chicken Alfredo with crispy chicken

I love Rocco's!! The crispy chicken alfredo, meat lovers pizza, and garlic rolls were all outstanding. The spinach and peach salad (Valentine's Day Menu) and the warm, friendly service made it even better.

    Spinach Artichoke Dip

This is hands down one of the best italian restaurants around town (especially if you are looking for options with fresh veggies)!! We recently started coming here and it has become our latest go to spot. Service has been incredible each time - friendly staff, welcoming, and attentive. The food is absolutely incredible. Have tried many of the dishes on the menu now and I can say that I have thoroughly loved each and every one of them. Our favorites so far have been the spinach and artichoke dip, cheese ravioli with chicken, and lobster ravioli! The prices here are better than other places in the area and you get very generous portions. Love that they have many dishes with grilled chicken and veggies - they are always fresh and chicken is the juiciest I've had at an Italian restaurant! I've had generous leftovers each time and each dish has reheated surprisingly well - especially the alfredo/white sauces which typically separate when reheating from other places. I don't typically leave many reviews but this place has been amazing - highly recommend!

Nice comfy feel. Welcoming staff. Lunch special for $10.99 includes salad. The lemon butter really made for a too-tangy taste for me. My daughter thought it was fine so we'll say it's right on that line of too much for most. Chicken pasta with lemon butter is how they presented it on the sign out front. Rolls are those garlic knots. Great and came with the meal, ok to ask for more. The hit for our lunch was my daughter's spaghetti and meatball dish (meatball Parmesan on the menu). Worth a try as the flavor and juiciness off the charts. Caesar salad came with both dishes and so not a bad lunch deal between the special and also the $13.99 meatball Parmesan. First time for us seemed hit or miss. I think the waiter mentioned chicken parmigiana as regular Monday special going forward so might be worth a shot to try that date. He said it by far was their most popular dish. They do make pizzas, subs and other Italian favorites so plenty of options for everyone. Might be growing pains as both our table and the table next to us were given the wrong order initially. All was fixed within ten minutes though so reasonable amount of time. Might be hit or miss right now but will stop by for lunch another time.

The staff of this hotel are great. Everyone I came into contact with were kind and helpful. Chante at the front desk is a literal angel. She was so sweet and kind. Treated us with such kindness upon check in and the entire time we were there. Cut to Friday (we checked in Tuesday afternoon), and I got a call from the general Manager, Aaron Oquendo (found your last name Aaron, you weren't getting off that easy). My dogs, who have been abruptly moved from their home with a yard and 2400 sq ft of space to a 400 sq ft space on the 3rd floor) barked when I would leave to take my kids to school and pick them up (20 minutes away). He proceeded to berate me on the phone, called it a "major situation" because a couple of guests complained (rightfully so) and told me I was "costing the hotel money" and told me we had to leave. Which, funny enough, we had TWO ROOMS booked for TWO WEEKS, so who cost who money? Anyway, after he informed me we were being kicked out he proceeded to lecture me and compare my situation to his flood situation from 2020 and he got bark collars and his dogs "never barked." It was the most unprofessional and rude conversation I've ever had in my life. I explained to him the situation and he couldn't have cared less. I completely understand that dogs barking can be very annoying. I work from home so I was there all day, and all night, and they did not bark consistently. Any time they did bark it was addressed immediately. He tried to argue with me that they barked during the day, to which I had to reiterate I worked from home and I was in the room with them all day, expect to get my kids. I ended up hanging up on him because he was so rude to me. When I saw him in the lobby and confronted him he was still evasive and dismissive. I asked for his last name and he said "we don't give out that information." Funny, because there were 4 business cards readily available for the Asst GM and 3 others, but yeah they don't give out that info. Got it. He told me "offered for me to stay" but no, he didn't. He said this to save face from the other guests in the lobby. Chante called me to smooth things over and said they didn't want me to leave, we just had to come to a solution which I was happy to do, however, there was zero chance I was staying somewhere where the General Manager treats the guests so poorly. I didn't feel comfortable staying there anymore. There were about 1000 different ways he could have approached the situation but he chose the worst possible way. We checked out that same afternoon and were forced to go back to our house that's unlivable until we found alternative accommodations (forcing us to move for the 3rd time in 5 days). I work in customer service for a living and I would never EVER speak to someone the way he spoke to me. Especially knowing the traumatic situation they were in. He shouldn't be in the position that he's in if this is the way he treats people. The moment I saw him that first day I felt in my gut he was an icky person, and turns out my gut instinct was right. He made me feel so small and humiliated. Aaron, a little grace, kindness and empathy go a long way. I would have gladly worked with you to find a way to help because I understand that other guests were unhappy. I don't let my dogs bark at my own home because it's annoying, so I can appreciate that the other guests were annoyed. The ONLY reason I would recommend this hotel is for Chante because she was an earth angel and truly cared about the experience and had empathy towards myself and my family. Give that woman a raise.

It is HUGE - definitely the largest splash pad I've seen in terms of sheer size. It is designed so that the water spouts at the top of the splash pad form a small river that flows down to the lower area, where there are more spouts, plus rocks to climb on and grassy (turf) hills to roll down. My kids like bringing small toys and racing them down the river. The real star here is the shaded observation area for the mamas, though. There is no other park that treats us so well, providing expansive shade tents all the way around the park. There are picnic tables, but for the most part it's BYOC (bring your own chair) - or blanket - and set up shop on the turf, under the shade, in an elevated spot so you can keep an eye on the littles playing below. The bathrooms are new and usually pretty clean, although sometimes they do still smell like a porta potty. The splash pad hours are kind of a bummer, with the water not turning on until 10am. In the peak heat of the summer, we would be there waiting right at 10, but by 12:30 or so the water already felt like bath water - not refreshing and honestly kind of gross. I wish it opened at 8am so we could enjoy it for longer. Now that summer is over, the splash pad is only open on the weekends. They have a super helpful and very clear calendar which posts the hours here: https://www.highlandvillage.org/calendar.aspx?CID=31&showPastEvents=false There is a traditional playground directly adjacent to the splash pad, but it's unremarkable - certainly nothing you'd drive out of your way for. The rest of the park is BEAUTIFUL and well landscaped. I'm not sure what they use that massive pavilion for, but honestly I think it makes a case for a good wedding venue! If you're looking for a splash pad to add to your summer rotation, put this one on the list.

It seemed only appropriate that barbecue was on the menu with things like brisket, smoked sausage and baked beans, all served buffet style. While it was respectable enough, the quality was closer to Dickey's or Spring Creek than more authentic Texas barbecue. We chose the vendor package, which included the in-house photographer, and DJ among other things. While the convenience was appealing, several issues occurred throughout the day. To start, our centerpieces only covered 8 of the 10 tables. This may have been an oversight on my part, so I'm not placing blame on the venue for that. The ceremony itself was beautiful, but there was an issue with the music for my entrance. I chose the same song for both my bridesmaids and myself because there was a specific part of the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to. I had previously asked the wedding planner if the music could be looped if timing ran long, and she assured me it could. However, while waiting in the bridal suite with my dad, I heard the part of the song I was supposed to walk into come and go. I was later told that my niece and nephews took longer walking down the aisle. I completely understand that kids will be kids, but this was something we had discussed beforehand to prevent exactly this situation. Our photographer did a good job overall, though we are still waiting on the final photos. However, he forgot about the "first touch" moment I had planned with my husband until one of my bridesmaids reminded him. At the reception, there were multiple issues with the DJ. He switched the entrance songs for my husband, myself, and the bridal party. We used the provided app to carefully create our playlist, but it seemed like it was not followed closely. He also did not fade out the songs for our first dance or for my father-daughter dance as requested. Once open dancing started, he began playing songs that were not on our playlist and that many of our guests did not recognize. Overall, he seemed unprepared. As for the wedding planner, she was helpful during the planning process but did not seem organized on the actual wedding day. We had arranged for a coffee cart during cocktail hour. When the barista finished for the evening, he prepared a bag with coffee items for my husband and me for the next day and said he would give it to the wedding planner. However, the wedding planner left once dancing began. When we were leaving, we remembered the coffee and asked my mom to retrieve it, but she couldn't find the coordinator to ask about it. If one or two small things had gone wrong, it would have been easier to overlook. But the number of mistakes throughout the day left a very disappointing impression for both my husband and me. If you are looking strictly for a beautiful venue, Aristide is stunning. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend purchasing the vendor package, as we did not feel that our plans were executed with the attention to detail we expected.
