One star for staff, as I never got as far as seeing any doctor there. I tried to make a new appointment for a physical and the girl gave me such a hard time. She was saying that she doesn't know their availability and that they only do physicals at certain times. Yet, she seemed to want me to tell her when I could come in. I told her I would need to know what is available. "Would you like me to look at their schedules and see what the doctors have available?" Uh, YES. That is why I called. I don't know the doctors' schedules so I need to know what is available. This shouldn't be difficult. I'm no mind reader and don't know intuitively what time slots the docs are available for a physical. I ended up telling the girl I was going to just call somewhere else and hung up. read more

I was with my old primary for about15 years. I transferred to Dr. Jacoby after I switched medical groups to be closer to work. I'd read some good reviews, and decided "oh what the heck." I was nervous. I loved my old primary, why couldn't he be in my network? But there was nothing to worry about, she's awesome. The staff is always friendly, and the wait is never long. I strong URGE women to find an OB/GYN or gynecologist before entrusting your health to Robyn Jacoby!!! She ignored my health issues & told me "don't worry" "it's not an issue" "most women go their entire lives without a single problem." Despite multiple visits complaining of serious symptoms she never monitored a major issue that led to me having a hysterectomy!! I don't blame Robyn Jacoby for me having the medical issue. I BLAME HER 100% for not monitoring the issue from the time she found out until the time I left her practice which was approx. 3 yrs!!!!!! I blame her for not paying attention to my complaints which a Licensed Medical Doctor realized INSTANTLY & it was confirmed w/my medical records provide by Jacoby's office!!! Robyn Jacoby may have a nice & friendly bedside manner but that does not make up for her GROSS incompetence & inability to act in the best manner for patients. Let's start with the office staff -- uninterested, unprofessional, unhelpful. Please know that you DO NOT have to sign the 'mandatory arbitration' agreement that they shove into the introductory paperwork to receive treatment. I was scheduled for a women's exam and a prescription refill. After a 35 min wait, I finally got into the exam room to hear from the assistant that the doctor wasn't going to see me for anything other than the scrips. She laughed as if I should know that the doc is booked through June for gyno exams. This is my first appointment with this doc, but she spent less than five minutes talking to me about my history, issues, etc... she wrote the prescriptions and left. She mentioned nothing about the side effects of a new med she prescribed, which I later found out to be somewhat serious. I made the 'redo' appointment for 6 weeks out but was told I'd have to the copay again. It wasn't THEIR fault. (I still can't figure out how it is mine.) They then proceeded to call my Rx into the pharmacy incorrectly.. .AND to the wrong pharmacy. When I finally tracked down the right pharmacy and figured out that they had called in the wrong thing, it was Friday afternoon. did reach the doc's office, but the woman I spoke to was so clueless, I'd have been better off calling my dry cleaner. Needless to say, I was screwed for the weekend -- no meds until they felt like calling after noon on Monday. When I finally caught up with Dr. Jacoby to clarify the medication issue, she told me to find a new doctor. Basically, I was dumped because I called them on their mistakes. In our last conversation, she told me she'd write me a Rx for anything I wanted and then we'd be done. ??? Definitely unprofessional... possibly dangerous. read more

Most of the good reviews were for Dr Jacoby. If you're joining the office now - DON'T. "Dr Jacoby is NOT taking any more patients but you can see any of the other mediocre doctors at our office" This is how I felt. I got in for check up for the flu. I got Dr Kasem. She was ok. I didn't understand half of what she said because she muttered the pt education at me with her accent as she was walking out of the room. I got the meds and felt better. I'm giving the facility 1 stars because on return I wanted to get a physical and was told to come in on a Thursday day but was some how was mistakenly scheduled for Monday. On Thursday, I get into the office and tell them I'm here for my appointment. One of the receptionist (the one that initially scheduled me appt -Maria/Martha?) tells me that I "NO SHOWED" on Monday and that they didn't have me scheduled for Thursday. I told her that I specifically scheduled my appt for Thursday because I only work in Upland on certain days (this being one of them) and wanted an appt before work. I always work in OC on Mondays so that wouldn't had ever worked. She deferred me to a very nice lady that took over. This asst (maybe the manager? but she's a lefty) told me that 1) Dr Jacoby is not taking new patients 2) Your doctor - Dr Kasem doesn't want you to see anyone else but her in this office. 3) Dr Kasem's not here today 4) You're not schedule for today but on Monday and that appt was for a cough. What the f---! I made an appt for a physical and they just randomly put in on the schedule for different type of office visit?? I would had seriously blown up if that front desk gal wasn't as nice as she was. But never again to this office. Also, the providers of this office were on my preferred PPO plan and I still got charged OUT OF POCKET for $125+. read more

I am so forever grateful I found Dr. Jacoby. It is SOOOO difficult to find a GOOD Primary Care Physician now a days. Most office have horrible wait times and then just tell you to get something over the counter. Dr. Jacoby has always listened to me, I've never waited more than 30 minutes to see her and being a working woman on the go with a small child at daycare this was one of the best qualities this office has. Dr. Jacoby has been my primary care physician for about 5 years now and I'm so glad I found her. I had my other primary physician for 16 years before I moved states and I was sure that I would never find someone I liked as much as her but I'm so happy I was proven wrong. They are a busy office so sometimes it can be hard to get appointments or you have to wait on hold for awhile but that's what happens when you're a quality business! I moved to Claremont 6 years ago and my health care had been abysmal until I met Robyn Jacoby. Dr. Jacoby is a fabulous general practitioner. She has excellent bed side manor and is an excellent diagnostician. Last year, I thought I had torn my Rotator cuff in my shoulder. After examination, she said, I think this is a neck issue not a shoulder issue. She ordered the appropriate tests immediately. Turns out I had 3 herniated discs in my neck. This year, a multitude of other complications, so I go into her office with my list. What I really like about her, even though she is busy, is that she looks you in the eye, and asks good questions. Her gut instinct and know how, have led me to taking the appropriate tests for my health. I appreciate that she thinks and acts with prevention in mind and is not afraid to provide the healthcare and referrals if necessary. I was very impressed with Dr Jacoby. I was referred by a good friend of mine. I was so nervous because i was with my other Dr for 12 years. I moved and did the drive for 2 years to my other dr. First of all I have to point out that another review that claimed that Jacoby is not an MD is a misunderstanding. To say that a DO is not an MD is like saying that a person with an MS does not have a BS. The DO consists of additional training in osteopathic medicine as part of their MD program. I have been a patient of Dr Jacoby for about 4 years and have had a wonderful experience. However, I must admit that I prefer trying alternate treatments rather than jumping straight to medication. The over-medicating of our society is one of a host of problems that have put the US in the position of spending the largest amount per capita for health care, while ranking in the 40s for quality of health care. Dr Jacoby tries to look at the whole picture and does a good job at suggesting ways to treat the illness without drugs. That said, I have gone into the office with bronchitis and she promptly prescribed an anti-biotic. That said, I do think that Dr Jacoby's style does encourage you to take a more holistic view of your own health and also be an active part of your own well-being. read more

She has been always very professional and definitely compassionate towards her clients. I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Jacoby. She was recommended to me by a classmate and I have recommended her to many of my classmates. She is a very good family practionner. She is smart, compassionate and she makes you feel comfortable. I recommend seeing her for annual physical exams and for annual pap smears. If the issue is a GI one, ask for a consult to a GI specialist. She is great about giving consults to doctors who she trusts and she is also great about filling prescriptions that you may need.
