My partner came with me to the appointment, as we were both excited and, given our previous pregnancy experiences, had some questions and concerns. During the visit, Dr. Cropper asked only a few brief questions and performed a quick ultrasound simply to confirm the pregnancy. The ultrasound photo we were given was blurry and off-center, but what disappointed us most was the interaction. When my partner brought up concerns based on our prior pregnancies, they were dismissed with brief, cold responses. Throughout the appointment, I also felt that Dr. Cropper barely acknowledged my partner or made us feel comfortable discussing our concerns. When the office later called to schedule a follow-up appointment, I explained that I was still upset about the care I had received and shared my concerns about how the appointment had gone. The front desk staff told me they would call me back to schedule the follow-up. Instead, I received a letter informing me that Dr. Cropper would no longer be seeing me due to "patient-doctor differences." As a newly pregnant woman, this was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. Rather than addressing my concerns or attempting to improve communication, I was dismissed from the practice. I found the way the situation was handled to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Every patient deserves to feel heard, especially during such an important and vulnerable time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Cropper.

After hospital discharge and being up for over 24 hours I was told to come straight in for that original appointment. I was crying sitting in the waiting room and when taken back the nurse asked how my day was. I'm sure she didn't know, but they should make a note when a patient is visiting under those circumstances and get them back quicker instead of sitting amongst other patients and babies. I didn't even see the doctor, but the PA was great. The appointment was unnecessary, though. Visited a few months later for a yearly. Dr. Cropper was cold and unfriendly. I asked a few questions during my exam and she was short. I later found out because I asked about my miscarriage and health that was considered an "additional appointment" and charged. I've never paid for a yearly appointment and always been able to talk to doctor. At that appointment she also performed an exam without my consent. I was in shock because it wasn't something I'd ever experienced and I believe she could tell because she explained what the exam was for (after the fact). The exam was 100% unnecessary. I had just explained something in my health history that would confirm it wasn't needed so I have no idea why she did it. On top of all that, I asked about her being my doctor if I got pregnant again. She said no because I would be high-risk. For reference, I found another doctor and just had a perfectly healthy baby. For all of these reasons I definitely would not recommend Dr. Cropper.

They even have a well-designed website where I can view my appointment details and ask simple medical questions online. She said "wrist" (asking for my hand for BP checking) in a very commanding/aggressive tone because I was taking a while to give her my hand for BP checking. My patient felt rushed and that they didn't get the proper care they should have received. when we made a follow up appointment the receptionist was still very rude and snapped have a nice day like it was an inconvenience to help us. Dr. Elsharkawy introduced himself and made the effort to try to get to know me, which I appreciated as a first time patient with him. He has a very calm and friendly demeanor and made me feel very comfortable throughout the exam, and was able to do a full well woman visit that day (I thought I was only getting a consult meeting as a first time patient). I don't plan on having any more babies, but I'm sure he'd be great if that's what you need. I found out he's actually a family doctor as well, so I can see him as my primary care physician also! I'm so glad I found him and am happy to have him as my new doctor!

I've also been trying to get her office to complete some insurance paperwork since March, and they continue to not fill out the paperwork that I've requested - as such, my insurance hasn't paid and a lab company wants nearly $4,000 for a test that should be covered under my plan. As we were leaving, we found out she is retiring TOMORROW and couldn't be bothered to end her patient relationships she spent so much time building with dignity and professionalism. This was my first ever colposcopy so I was of course extremely scared and anxious. During the procedure I felt so violated as again nothing was explained to me and it was very painful. Afterwards she had me stand up and I began bleeding all over the stool to the table. The nurse had left with the samples at this point and all Dr. Akram said was " oh they didn't give you a pad?" And proceeded to hand me one and walk out of the room. There was no explanation as to why I was bleeding so much, if that was normal or not and no empathy. I left her office and cried the entire drive home feeling like I had been so deeply violated. This is such a horrible procedure to begin with but Dr. Akram made the experience so much worse with her cold demeanor and lack of compassion. I've unfortunately had to have another colposcopy since and it was night and day of an experience. I barely bled at all and that Dr. Went above and beyond to explain things, offer tips during procedure to ease the pain and was very empathetic and made sure I was ok afterwards.

I've been with her since my first pregnancy and have had the best experience. I have recently been a 3yr caregiver to a parent who recently died of cancer. A brother with a sudden death. So a medical professional not caring about the well being of my anxiety is not helpful to my current personal mental state. NP Fuller knew from our first appointment about my anxiety with internal procedures being done and should've been mindful or even cared to put in her notes to hide the barbaric instructions before me walking into the room.
