My partner came with me to the appointment, as we were both excited and, given our previous pregnancy experiences, had some questions and concerns. During the visit, Dr. Cropper asked only a few brief questions and performed a quick ultrasound simply to confirm the pregnancy. The ultrasound photo we were given was blurry and off-center, but what disappointed us most was the interaction. When my partner brought up concerns based on our prior pregnancies, they were dismissed with brief, cold responses. Throughout the appointment, I also felt that Dr. Cropper barely acknowledged my partner or made us feel comfortable discussing our concerns. When the office later called to schedule a follow-up appointment, I explained that I was still upset about the care I had received and shared my concerns about how the appointment had gone. The front desk staff told me they would call me back to schedule the follow-up. Instead, I received a letter informing me that Dr. Cropper would no longer be seeing me due to "patient-doctor differences." As a newly pregnant woman, this was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. Rather than addressing my concerns or attempting to improve communication, I was dismissed from the practice. I found the way the situation was handled to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Every patient deserves to feel heard, especially during such an important and vulnerable time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Cropper.

Typically, doctors ask these questions in private, either on forms or one on one time, to respect patient privacy and reduce embarrassment or discomfort. Pregnancy is an emotional and important time, and bedside manner matters. Unfortunately, this provider comes across as rushed, dismissive, and lacking compassion. Of course I went with her because I felt she needed me for support (and because I'm just as excited about baby) our first experience with the office staff was so pleasant. The front office staff were all super nice and welcoming. The back office staff was just as friendly, and I do not mean fake friendly. They all seemed so genuinely nice and caring. Now onto the Dr himself, what a gem!!! He was the nicest man. He took the time to explain everything to my daughter and made sure she was comfortable. He allowed her to ask questions and never once made us feel rushed. Which of you've ever been rushed through an appointment, you know how rare this is. Hands down I would and have referred many to this office. Being able to trust someone during what should be the happiest day, is important when picking a dr. Due to COVID, we weren't allowed to be at the hospital but I my daughter was in great hands. My grandson was born 6/6 and healthy baby. I adored Dr. Oliver and felt that she was an amazing doctor (performed my c/s) and did an amazing job. I'm currently pregnant and haven't delivered yet with Dr. Pham but so far I'm very happy with the care. She's very attentive and carefully listens to me and my concerns. I do notice that this office is not as "hands on" and more "old school" (they don't do ultrasounds unless you ask compared to other friends of mine in different offices who experience the opposite) but she so far has been wonderful! Then I had an actual serious medical issue come up. No, I didn't find out from her, I found out from the lab results that had been uploaded to the FemCare patient portal. When she finally called me DAYS later, first she said she just received the results. I told her that wasn't true because they were in the FemCare patient portal days prior and that her having the results and her looking at the results are two very different things. Especially with serious health issues. Then she started making excuses including that she's the only doctor left at FemCare because the others all quit and that "patients make doctors feel overworked and burned out" (actual quote from her). I told her she needs to look inside herself and find a sense of humanity. Whatever you do, do not go to Dhaliwal. Even if you think she's good enough for something minor like annual pap smears, you will 100% regret it if anything serious comes up.

Today we walked in for her 6 week postpartum appointment and they had no record that we had scheduled the appointment. She ran into the exam room and quickly, as she was trying to walk out of the door, gave single word answers to the questions my wife was asking. She was dismissive and wanted the appointment over as soon as humanly possible. I've also been trying to get her office to complete some insurance paperwork since March, and they continue to not fill out the paperwork that I've requested - as such, my insurance hasn't paid and a lab company wants nearly $4,000 for a test that should be covered under my plan. As we were leaving, we found out she is retiring TOMORROW and couldn't be bothered to end her patient relationships she spent so much time building with dignity and professionalism. He has a very calm and friendly demeanor and made me feel very comfortable throughout the exam, and was able to do a full well woman visit that day (I thought I was only getting a consult meeting as a first time patient). I don't plan on having any more babies, but I'm sure he'd be great if that's what you need. I found out he's actually a family doctor as well, so I can see him as my primary care physician also! This is my third appointment. At my first visit, I waited nearly three hours before being seen. At my second appointment, I waited for over an hour only to be told the appointment had been canceled because the doctor had an emergency. For this third appointment, I was specifically instructed to call ahead to make sure the office wasn't "running behind". I did, and my appointment was pushed back 15 minutes. However, I've now been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour with no indication of when I'll actually be seen. Communication has also been frustrating. I called several days ago because I was experiencing a complication from my medication and was told a nurse would return my call. After three days without hearing from anyone, I had to call the office again myself. I completely understand that emergencies happen and that delays are sometimes unavoidable. However, when long waits and communication issues become the norm, it makes receiving care incredibly difficult. A great doctor can only do so much if patients can't be seen in a timely manner or can't get the support they need between appointments. Unfortunately, the overall experience has made it hard to justify continuing my care here.
