This is long but worth the read. I've been a patient for over 2 years. The receptionist informed me I needed to pay my outstanding balance and office visit copay before seeing the doctor. I had no problem paying the required amount. At this point, the situation took an unexpected turn. When asked if I required a receipt, I indicated that I did, as I always request one due to using my FSA debit card. Upon receiving the receipt, I noticed it only reflected my total amount due and the copay. I subsequently approached the receptionist to request a detailed itemization of my payment. I was informed that it was not possible to provide a receipt for the copay. This response surprised me, as I have not previously encountered a medical office unable to provide the requested documentation for charges. I explained that my FSA administrator requires a detailed receipt outlining each charge for verification purposes. Again, I was told that she couldn't do it. All the while, she was rude and made me feel as though I was bothering her for asking. Then she brings another person into our conversation. She was just as condescending. I explained to her as well, the importance of my needing a detailed receipt and why. I went into further detail, stating to her that if I don't have a detailed receipt of charges, FSA will shut down my card and not allow me to use it for any other doctor appointments nor will I be able to pay for my prescriptions. Both basically ignored my request and I was told, "well hopefully they won't ask and if they do, that will give us time to generate a receipt or you." When I entered room 2 to speak with the doctor, I told the young woman who took my blood pressure that I was very upset--she had likely seen what happened at the front desk. I explained that I needed a receipt for the copay and the reason why. She spoke with her manager and, within two minutes, returned with a separate receipt showing my copay. That was all I wanted, yet the front desk had refused to provide one. Your front desk staff really needs customer service training. Obviously, what I asked for was doable. They just didn't want to do it or take the time to ask someone how. They didn't empathize with me AT ALL when I told them why I needed the receipt and the inconvenience it would cause me if I didn't have it. read more

"Doing My Part for Science (and My Sinuses)" So yeah... I signed up for a test trial at Inland Allergy because apparently I like chaos and helping humanity. The staff were super cool -- explained everything, didn't judge my 47 sneezes in under a minute, and treated me like a hero instead of a human pollen detector. The vibe? Half medical lab, half "we're curing allergies, bestie." I got poked, tested, and somehow left feeling proud and less stuffy. Honestly, 10/10 would volunteer again. Dr. Patel is the real deal. Highly intelligent, confident, leads his staff professionally, and he has a great sense of humor. His medical assistant took excellent care of me on both of my visits; I can't remember her name, but she was amazing. The older lady in the front with short hair was so rude I've been there twice and she always the same My last appointment I was trying to make it convenient for myself as I am a UPS driver and trying to make it convenient for me and she gave me attitude and forced me to take the appointment that she wants she said this is the appointment we have do you want it or not ! And then I received late payment called the office and the transferred me to the manager and was super rude telling me I didn't pay when I know I did and I made the mistake of not getting receipt . This place is a damn rip off! They force you to schedule a "consultation" as your first visit. They literally did nothing for my children in the consult visit except ask about symptoms. I had to schedule a "Consultation" appointment for each of my children, and then received a bill for $266 for both children. What the heck is this money that I am paying for? There has been no treatment, no diagnosis because we haven't even got to the testing yet, and I have to pay $266 out-of-pocket. I was literally in the room with the Dr 20 to 30 minutes max, for both kids total. I then called and spoke to somebody at the office and asked if there was anything they would be willing to do to reduce the bill and they told me no. I then asked to speak to the doctor or leave a message for her to call me back, and the lady just stated that the doctor doesn't handle that, and she would be the one to call me back anyways. They just want your money!! Don't go here and I definitely won't be back and I will spread the word to family and friends not to come here. It's so sad that so many doctors these days just want to collect your money and don't truly care about treating their patients. In response to the owner's response, I don't think you truly understand the frustration, coming from a working mom. I have no problem paying, IF we actually reached some answers or results or diagnosis. But your poor policies in place that FORCE patients to schedule AND PAY for consultation first, and take time away from work to bring in 2 kids, and still we have gotten no where. That's what's most frustrating. Please don't apologize as I don't believe you are truly sorry for anything. And stating you are "here to help" is a joke!! No you're not, you're here to take people's money without any treatment. If you're going to force patients to schedule and pay for a consult first, then you should at least consider applying that payment towards the next service, such as testing!! But paying $266 out of pocket and we still have no answers, that's what is not ok. read more

In 2018 I was referred to Dr. Shaw after two hospitalizations due to severe bacterial and yeast infections out of character for an otherwise healthy individual. She was the last of several specialists to whom my primary physician made a referral. She really listened and paid attention as I told my history. She carefully read through my hospital notes, record, and labs. I felt seen and heard by her and her office staff. Since then, I have seen her yearly for updates and allergy care. This year, 6 weeks after recovering from Covid, I suddenly became very short of breath and was admitted to the hospital. It was determined to be a lung problem. I ended up being seen by two Pulmonologists. Both agreed upon a diagnosis of COPD as a result of Covid. However, unless I was on high dose of oral Steroids, I could hardly breathe. I was schedule to see Dr. Shaw for my allergy checkup. Upon my visit, I presented my history, labs, hospital notes, test results from previous several months. She saw the problem and made a diagnosis of Eosinophilic Asthma. She immediately ordered Trelegy Inhaler and within 6 weeks her office staff got approval for a biologic drug, Fasenra. My breathing has improved almost 100%! I have my life back again! I cannot thank her enough for her expertise along with her staff who have been so kind and caring. I believe I would have been an invalid had it not been for her wisdom, knowledge, and willingness to go a little further to investigate my problem. Her kindness and care is beyond compare. this business is listed as being open until noon to go in and get your allergy shot. I showed up at 10 till noon and they told me that the cut off time is 11:30 for shots. they need to update their Google listing with the proper times! they wasted my day trying to juggle between Health and work. I also wasn't able to get my allergy shot that week because of the improper information posted on Google. not to mention the wasted hour out of my day & the 40 mile round-trip. read more

I've gone to this office regularly since 2016 but no longer will. The wait times are worse than ever. For my son's 4 pm appointment, we were not seen until 5:45, a 1 h 45 wait. Months later I had an appointment at 3:30 and was not seen until 4:50, a 1h 20 min wait. The doctors cause the wait by double (triple) booking appointments, to buffer their profit loss from any cancellations, causing patients to suffer long waits when everybody actually shows up. The office needs a change of leadership. The parking is nonexistent due to too many businesses in the same building, and I had to routinely park far away, and hunt for street parking. Unlike other allergy offices, here they don't allow allergy shots on the same day as appointments, a big inconvenience, meaning the patient has to make multiple trips. It's true that a minority of insurance companies don't pay for both on the same day, but most do, and this is why Excel was invented. This allergy office would rather inconvenience patients than to risk any profit loss. Finally, I posted this review before but agreed to take it down after I spoke to the MD on the phone, even though the MD refused to take my complaints seriously. Indeed, after I took my review down and spoke to the MD, three bad things still happened: First, I waited 1 h 20 min for an appointment. Second, only in 2023 did they mention that my most recent allergy skin test from 2015 on the East Coast might not be accurate for West Coast allergies. No wonder my allergies are not under control. Third, a very immature office staff member (likely in retribution for my previous online review) jabbed the allergy shot needle, as deep as she could apply physical pressure, into the nerves in my arm, causing bleeding. I have never had such intense nerve pain, in my 8 years of allergy shots. The pain was stinging for hours and is still tender for days. Physical violence is grounds for a report to the health board. I came in due to an emergency that I thought was an allergy. The office was kind to get me in right away and was able to diagnose my condition with a proper treatment plan. Wait times are horrible. And apparently they are cheap and won't turn on the AC. Reported them to OSHA for violating indoor temp requirements. They have tons of patients but also plenty of doctors. Wait times shouldn't be this long and it would be more bearable if they turn on the AC. read more

I had a phone consultation with one of the doctors. Guess what? They billed me almost $500 for a 5 mins phone call. This is after my pretty good insurance company covered partial of the bill. I called the billing department, they won't work with me on the bill. Very disappointed. Don't recommend to any one unless you have an insurance that pays everything. read more

They treat patients with genuine personal attention and concern. Their knowledge has helped to improve the quality of my health and life. I am very grateful for their dedication, high ethics, and hard work. I referred my husband to these doctors and he is also impressed with the quality of care. The staff is cheerful, friendly, and efficient. During the chaos of Co-vid I have witnessed how they have changed procedures several times to accommodate the needs of patients who receive allergy shots so that everyone is protected in the best possible manner. Prior to bring my son to Inland Allergy he was in and out of urgent care and ER for his asthma. Primary Care would have him out of school one to two weeks at a time. Finally me and my husband decided we needed to take matters into our own hands. We took our son to the specialists at Inland Allergy and we couldn't have made a better choice. They corrected all his medication and gave detailed explanation as to what was going on with my son. My sons asthma is finally under control thanks to Dr. Patel, Dr. Shah and PA Frank. I'm so grateful our pediatricians office referred us to Dr. Patel. Our 2 year olds allergies are finally under control. Her skin looks beautiful and I'm no longer worried she'll wake up with her eyes swollen shut. It's been 3 weeks since our visit and it really feels like a miracle. Not only does she look better, but her behavior has improved so much! No more hearing "ouchie" or "itchy mommy." I'm so thankful! I can't remember the name of the PA who saw is, but he was awesome! The staff including Dr. Patel and PA Cavnaugh we're so understanding and also so kind and empathetic to my 3 year old. They understood realities of various treatments that were more viable to a toddler. 100 stars!! Such wonderful caring staff! We were referred to Dr. Patel for my daughter's asthma. The PA Frank is absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and so thorough during our visits. About a month ago, my daughter's asthma started flaring up really bad and we had to go to the emergency room. A week later her breathing was still bad and I called Dr. Patel's office, panicked, not knowing if I should go back to the ER or wait to get an appointment. DR. Shaw called me back and talked me through everything, and had he bring my daughter in right away. SHE SPENT NEARLY AN HOUR WITH US!!! An hour! I don't know any doctors that spend more than 10 minutes with you. She let me explain everything that was going on and we made a plan to get my daughter better. She eased my fears about some of the medications and made us feel so much better. She talked to my daughter in the most caring way. We left feeling so much better and confident that my daughter is in the best hands. I can't really say enough good things about this facility and the staff. You know what they say - if a person is satisfied, they might not write a review or tell others, but when a person is pissed, they tell everyone. Perhaps that's why this office doesn't have any Yelp reviews yet. I came here with concerns about a possible food allergy. While waiting for Dr. Patel, I noticed he had a plaque that said he was voted most caring doctor in 2009. I see why he got it. He was super caring, friendly, and a good pick-me-up. This man truly cares about his patients. When he saw some of the medications other doctors prescribed me, he was somewhat upset and said that he tries to prescribe as little as possible unless it's absolutely required. Most doctors these days are like computer repair techs - if something's wrong, they'll suggest the most drastic or invasive treatment. Why? $$$. So sad. Dr. Patel is different. While I don't have a truckload of friends who have bad allergies, for the ones that do, I will recommend this office. After just my second visit at this office I can honestly say that these Drs and staff have been the most competent, professional and courteous of any Doctors I've seen over my lifetime. Dr. Amit Patel is the most amazing dedicated, caring physician I've ever had. He takes the time and effort to ask questions, give feedback in an effort to truly understand and manage your issues. His daughter in law, Dr. Heena Shah-Patel, is just as talented and pleasant. The wait time in too long. The PA was wonderful. I can't say enough great things about him. However, had I known I was seeing a PA, I would have passed on this office altogether. Doctors, especially specialist, are getting to lazy sourcing out their work to PA's. That is NOT acceptable to me. I do NOT get a discount to see a PA with my insurance. I pay good money, and it covers a licensed doctor. Therefore, that is what I expect to see! My primary doctor does not have a PA or I'd be looking for another doctor. read more

Dr Patel and Frank are the best. They come in and talk to you and listen, they are not about seeing the next patient. they will stay with you until they have answered every question you have asked. I take my son and they listen when you tell them certain things are going on . I trust them when I take my son. My son has asthma, nasal allergies and he has cleared them up right away. I hardly ever leave Yelp reviews, and have never left one for a doctor, but I was so ABSOLUTELY pleased with my appointment today that it was warranted! I took my 17 month old in after a bad reaction to peanuts. My baby is scared of the doctor office and I wasn't sure how it was going to go. There was a full house in the waiting room when I got there, but honestly it went by so fast (faster than I am used to at her primary doctor). There were toys for her to play with while I filled out paperwork and all of the staff that encountered her interacted so positively. When the nurse took us back she was so sweet with her. She let her write on her paper and had me take her temperature so she wouldn't think she was getting poked. They brought a toy into the room to entertain her before the doctor came. Normally my daughter would be screaming already but they made her feel so comfortable. We saw Dr. Shah and she was SO wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, and great with my daughter!! She really took her time with me to educate me on allergies and asthma, next steps, and answered all of my questions. When we exit the room, they had a treasure chest to pick something out. When we were in the hallway, Dr. Shah introduced me to Dr. Patel who was very friendly. Overall I am extremely pleased with this office and am happy that we were referred here. read more

My son is into Minecraft and Dr Patel showed my son the Forbes magazine that talks about the creator. He let my son bring home the magazine.
