My experience with Neighborhood Tech Support (NTS) went from promising to disappointing, and…read moreultimately to positive and satisfying. My 6-year-old desktop PC developed startup and "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD) problems caused by "Video TDR failure". Brian at NTS kept it overnight, said it was fixed; repair covered by a 30-day guarantee. Cost: $100. Emailed receipt did not include any description of the work done. At home, before long I got the BSOD again. I took it back to NTS. Brian replaced the video card and said he had tested the PC thoroughly and it was working fine. Cost: $60. At home the monitors I use were completely messed up. I called Brian who said he couldn't troubleshoot it over the phone, but would send a tech over in two days. William came and fixed the monitor situation--all seemed fine. :-) Later that day I got the BSOD again. :-( Very unhappy, I called NTS again. Brian said he couldn't think of anything else to do to fix the PC. It seemed I had wasted $160 and I wondered what a "30-day guarantee" actually meant. I emailed Rob Mathews ("Geek in charge") who called soon after and said I could bring the PC back and he would look it over, or if I wanted a new PC they could advise me and would set it up for me at no charge. I ordered a new PC and notified Rob when it arrived. He was very responsive and supportive, and Brian got it set up within a few hours, called twice to ask about my preferences for certain settings, and went through things carefully with me when I went to pick it up. I have been using the new PC for several days and it's working flawlessly. The whole experience involved 6 separate trips (dropping off and picking up) to NTS, plus many hours on my part dealing with my PC's problems, then purchasing and getting up-and-running on a new computer. While I feel the experiences with NT were uneven and unsatisfying at times, they came through in the end and I recommend their services, noting that it's worth persevering if initial results aren't satisfactory. Rob does care about the business, the service they offer, and potential negative reviews. I do think they should provide receipts that document the work done, and the guarantee they offer.

I have not had an issue getting someone on the phone when I need something urgently, and everyone is always nice to talk to. They even try to help when you have unique IT related questions or need unique software requirements in order to do your work more efficiently. For example, I was in need of a specific pdf software that had more specificity when it came to converting excel documents to PDF. They went out of their way in order to accommodate me and took it upon themselves to continue to research options for me. They also make sure that all of our computers are backup up regularly so if there are any issues, we are able to securely obtain our data. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for IT support for small to large size companies.

Noam and his team worked with us to find an appropriate package with a great level of service. The onboarding process was fast and efficient (even despite the IT mess our last provider left us with) and Noam and his team are quick to respond to every email, service request and frantic phone call they have received from us.  Everyone we have worked with (Mitch, Cyan, Ella, Matt, SJ) has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable.  They have helped us with larger projects like bringing our server onto the cloud (because its no longer 1994) as well as smaller projects like making sure our computers are up to date. Not everyone at our organization is particularly tech savy and they have spent countless hours working with my team members to talk them through simple processes. As a small, cost conscious non profit we love that Ignition checks in with us as the price for a project rises and is efficient as possible while still providing excellent service. We would not be able to do our work without them and for that we are very grateful. Thank you Noam and Ignition!!
