A Slice Above--This Tower Leans Right Into Your Heart (and Arteries)…read moreLet me tell you, the Leaning Tower of Pizza doesn't just lean... it lunges at your taste buds like a carb-loaded ninja with marinara on its hands. We rolled in hungry, and left questioning if we should update our wills to include pizza rights. The lineup: A Large Meats pizza that looked like it bench-pressed smaller pizzas for fun. A Medium Pep & Sausage with white sauce--or as I like to call it, "Garlic Oil's Greatest Hits." A Personal Pep & Sausage, because someone said "I'm not hungry" and then ate half the large. Three Subs that could double as home security devices: A Meatball Sub that came in like a wrecking ball (Miley Cyrus not included). An Original with Double Meat--they doubled the meat and tripled our joy. And the Pizza Sub, which basically said, "Why should pizza have all the fun? Put it on a bun." The service? Absolutely top-notch. Friendly, fast, and they didn't flinch when we ordered like we were feeding a small village. The food? Delicious. Cheesy. Meaty. Saucy. The Leaning Tower of Pizza isn't just a name--it's a culinary landmark that should probably have its own zip code. Would eat again. Would unbutton pants in advance. Would tell others, just like I'm telling you now. Grazie, Tower. You leaned... and we fell.

I sat on doing this review for a couple days so I could think about it. My friends and I were in…read moretown for the Shawshank Hustle and chose this place because it looked lime it would accommodate for our different tastes. It was a lot smaller inside than we expected but it was nice. We were seated quickly but it took a bit for our server to come. We finally ordered ( nothing crazy - we all got sandwiches). Then it felt like our server just disappeared. One of the other servers heard us talking while she was servicing her table and told us that they had some event going on outside so food was taking longer to come out. No update from our own server. I had to ask ther other server for another drink. It was kind of irritating to see tables that came in after us getting their food before us. Now onto the food - it was pretty good. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. I got a reuben with fries. The rye bread on my reuben was nice - crispy crust yet soft. Very good ratio of meat to saukraut. The fries were eh. Very limp with no crispy at all. I've honestly gotten better fries off a food truck. They look crispy in the photo but they were not. So overall- drink was good, sandwich was delicious but fries were not and service was not good at all.

Chicken was tender and flavorful and the marinara sauce was perfect! The mozzarella cheese was gooey and wonderful! My hubby had the Doc Ed's burger. It was huge. It came with bacon, cheese and a fried egg. He loved it! Fries were seasoned just right but we are not fans of shoestring fries. They make their own potato chips and probably should have had those. We'll be back on our next trip.

Food was delicious! My goodness!…read more We were running late to a race in the Canal Fulton area and were both starving. I hopped on Yelp, saw Oak Park Tavern was open, and said, "Hey, let's give it a try." Thank goodness we did! We were greeted warmly by both the staff and customers who were enjoying a late-night ballgame. We arrived well after the dinner rush--easily four hours later--and only about 50 minutes before closing. Despite that, the atmosphere was welcoming, the service was outstanding, and we never felt rushed. The walls were adorned with hand-drawn battlefield crosses and messages honoring the fallen and supporting our service members. As someone who deeply appreciates that commitment, it resonated with me. I struck up a conversation with the bartender and learned that his son is a Marine. His pride in supporting veterans and active-duty service members was evident and appreciated. Sarah, our waitress, was friendly, kind, and attentive despite the late hour. She smiled, laughed with us, and made us feel right at home. Now, the food! The lobster dish was fantastic--perfectly seasoned and served with a delicious sauce. The seafood entrée I ordered was outstanding, and the wedge salad was absolutely top-tier. I love a good wedge salad, and this one exceeded expectations. My wife, Juliann, loved her New York Strip, which was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The cocktails were excellent as well. Thank you all for an amazing visit. We'll definitely be back the next time we're passing through!

Though the table and chairs and other ambience, I'm not changed, we thought that this meal was particularly better than others that we've had in the past. We opened with adult beverages. I must say it was the best Manhattan I've ever had there at Oak Park Tavern! Nobody was complaining about their beverages either. After ordering our adult beverages, we ordered their combination appetizer. It is a collection of fried appetizer items, consisting of mushrooms, mozzarella, sauerkraut balls, pickles, and onion rings. I ordered their sirloin steak with blue cheese on top with their vegetable medley and a side of sautéed mushrooms. Mom ordered a fish that was stuffed with crab, our friend ordered a steak and shrimp, while my wife went for their chicken tenders. After a reasonable amount of time, all of our dishes came out. I must say I was fairly impressed with their steak, and particularly the vegetable medley that came with it. Our salads were great as well. I do enjoy the spinach salad with one bacon dressing. All in all pretty good visit. Well done!
