Now that I feel better, Friday I treated my mother, daughter, niece and her five year old daughter to Poncho Tacos on Lexington Avenue, we ate well per usual, spent $80 and left close to 5:00. Next thing I know we and contracted FOOD POISONING that night around 8:00 PM. First I notice my stomach bloating really badly and of course diarrhea and vomiting. I couldn't sleep well that night from being sick. Next morning my niece calls and ask, "hey are you sick"? I'm like heck yeah we BOTH had the same symptoms. I call Pancho Taco Mexican Restaurant and the so called manager didn't apologize for one, nor did he want to rectify the issue. He literally said, "What do you want me to do"? I said excuse me?? Because I'm lost, how are you going to rectify this? "He says he's not"! I said what sir, we come here quite often since being here this past year, karaoke, lunch, dinner dates, my niece comes for margaritas with her siblings and friends and you don't want to at least refund me and my niece's cost of dinner (not knowing at the time my daughter was sick that night also and my five year old niece) since we ate the same thing and live separately and NEITHER ONE OF US ATE ANYTHING EARLIER THAT DAY... He told me no and never!! I'm like sir I paid $80 and I'm not asking for anything but our portions. He continues to say no!! Next myself, my niece and her daughter goes to urgent care and ALL THREE OF OUR STOMACHS WERE RUMBLING the doctor said and gave us Zoltan and said we had to let it run its course. It's so crazy we have a place that got us all sick and I'm getting backlash over $30 or so bucks and he's claiming the chicken and steak was cut differently and there's no way. I'm like sir my daughter is sick and she doesn't even eat meat, and there is a such thing of cross contamination. But it's okay I'll just call the Mansfield Ontario Richland County Health Department and contact the Usda Food Safety And Inspection Service read more

Our server Megan was incredible! She was super attentive and kind! Our meals came out hot and delicious! Would definitely go back!

Our server on our most recent trip was a woman that has served at Pancho's for years. I can't remember her name but last weeks visit started with her asking my son if he was over 21 when he ordered a beer and I said he just turned 24 a few days ago. Towards the end of the meal, the staff all came out with the hat, to sing Happy Birthday to him. We all were amazed that she picked up on that!! So very thoughtful, I mean that's some "The Bear" level service!! read more

Deserves a better average rating. There are surprisingly good Mexican restaurants near Mid Ohio. This is one of the best. Our Mexican drivers eat here. They recommend that we eat here. Every visit, every dish I ordered was phenomenal. The owner always comes out to ask if everything was ok and then sticks around for a conversation. One of my favorite restaurants on the circuit. read more

Quick service. Really good food, margarita was excellent and was $10. Highlight of the tacos was the birria. Followed by the Carnitas, and el pastor. They were all quite good, and they came out within a couple of minutes with the order we appreciate it the good service. But order the birria. Outstanding. read more

We have eaten here three times now in two weeks. The food is fresh, flavorful, authentic and served with a smile. The birria tacos were succulent. The beef rice bowl was tasty. I ordered a paloma to drink and it was on point. The owner and all staff provide prompt and super friendly service. I highly recommend. read more

Stopped here the other evening and got carry out. It is in my opinion the very best True Mexican food Ive had in Mansfield. I got the Enchiladas Verde and it was amazing!!! I'd recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

I had the Combo #7 (Chicken Burrito & Enchilada). Generous amount of chicken, good flavor and very nice presentation. The only thing lacking in my opinion was the enchilada sauce overtop seemed a little one dimensional. Friendly service and reasonably prompt. The decorations were very nice, certainly felt like an authentic Mexican restaurant and the artwork hung around was very good. read more

Food was made incorrectly, decent service, and they have a nice atmosphere for a date dinner

I didn't get a single thing I ordered. Grease soup. This isn't steak: carnitas is good. The pinch of cheese on my quesadilla is cheap gross rubber consistency. read more

Easy access right off the highway; beautiful interior with lots of giant Timbers highlighting the decor! Big menu of street taco options. Went simple: two chicken tacos ($6) supreme (add lettuce, cheese, pico and sour cream for $1). Savory chicken and lots of toppings...very good! Wife enjoyed the birria tacos (came au juice)...also very good! Chips and salsa also good...server friendly and attentive. Checkout the online menu for more unique options! read more

Salsa - fairly runny. Spicer than most Mexican style so I liked that. B- Margarita flight - lots of unique flavors. I can see why this is popular. B Cheese dip. Meh. Super runny. D- I ordered the Diablo tacos - not on the menu here but our guests said they could make them. Spicy steak tacos w a jalapeño lime ranch. There was no discernible ranch and the steak - although spicy - was just ok. Whatever they used to make the steak spicy was running down the taco and down the front of me. Needed some help. Our server was very pleasant but dinner took a bit. Kind of a B- for me. read more

Very good service and excellent food at a good price in a clean atmosphere. Our party of eight or so stopped in here yesterday early evening and was treated very well kind of reminded me of authentic Mexican out of Southern California or maybe even Northern Mexico.. We will definitely go here again when back in town from Indiana read more

seriously? I walk in I order a small bag of chips and queso they give me a big bag and a small bag and charged me. they not listen? they don't even let you see the bill before charge you. When you do a walk in or phone order I tried give them benefit of the doubt. NOPE. read more

Good food, served hot and fast. I typically get carry out and I have not been disappointed .

Quick service and great food. I had the tacos Jalisco and ordered a side of the grilled jalapeño's. Tacos were great but the grilled Jalapeño's both on the taco and just straight were amazing. I'll stop by again just for the jalapeño's. read more

Our first time at this restaurant, and it won't be our last. The food was excellent, hot and fresh and delicious. We ordered takeout, which was ready on time as indicated by notification. Upon entering the restaurant, I was surprised to see a festive atmosphere and indoor seating with smiling faces everywhere. The staff helped me immediately and retrieved my meals and returned home with what turned out to be one of the best Mexican dinners we have ever eaten. read more

Such such great food. The veggies were so fresh. The person at the counter to take the order was so hostile. The young man bringing food to the tables was so hostile and obviously hated BUT he came alive when the young ladies came in. I know I am just an old lady, but can't the people at the counter be a little bit glad we came in????????????????????????????/ read more

- Staff were very friendly and had a good response time. They greeted customers coming in and were very polite despite being busy. - The atmosphere in this place is very inviting! Upon walking in it makes you feel as if it reflects the flavors of the food itself. The tables were spaced well and the restaurant was well kept and tidy. It works well to keep the eye busy while waiting on food and gives visual interest to the place. - As for the food! Where do I even start? Probably the best Mexican food I have had in a while and I didn't even order a meat dish. The salsa was very good. The fish and shrimp tacos were amazing, colorful and the flavors worked well together. Presentation was also beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. I'll definitely be coming back again! Muy bueno! read more

I didn't go but my hot boyfriend went and he liked it, food 10/10. The waiter was cool too. Welcoming service, thank you

The best! The service is great, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun. I definitely recommend this place

Excellent Mexican selection, beef, chicken & fish. Tortillas are the perfect foundation for many meals. Tonight was steak quesadilla with pepper onions and cheese sauce. Very good. On a previous visit I had the Pacifico what a great seafood combination. Service was good and order to take out was fast. This is a Mexican diner. Good atmosphere read more

This is a legit Mexican restaurant in mid Ohio and a surprisingly good find. It has a three star exterior with five star food. The carnitas rice bowl and steak tacos were awesome. The guacamole, and all three of their homemade salsas were excellent as well. Try the horchata too. The cooks are Mexican and know what they're doing back there. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a kind of quirky Mexican. I definitely recommend this place over the nearby chains! read more

Panchos on Lex Ave was the place to go for lunch once a week for our little group. Until the manager started hitting on us every chance he got, once he was rejected, we were not treated well by him at all. We had stopped going all together for a long while because of his behavior, but had a birthday this past weekend and these are her favorite tacos. We were greeted by a sweet girl at the register, he saw us come in and decided to come over proceeded to push her out of the way and passive aggressively take our order treating us like complete idiots. We order our food plain with toppings on the side because we are feeding 8 people and wanted them to be able to choose what they topped their tacos with because some girls are picky eaters. $135 later this is what we ended up with. Because we were setting up for a party we had a friend pick up the food, not thinking in a million years this is what we would get we were on a boat, this was our only food and we ate none of it. We called and let them know that our food was not anything like it should have been. We asked for the manager and guess who ‍ he knew exactly who we were and said we would have to send pictures so he could talk to his cook please, plain is plain! We will not be going to back to this location, and maybe that's what he wants. But it's one thing to have awful demeanor and customer service, it's another to mess with someone's food. read more

Driving cross country from Connecticut and we chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews. We are a family of five with an 11 year old boy and two teenage boys. It goes without saying that we can eat! Our server was friendly and kept the chips coming to the table. I had birria tacos (first time) and thought they were delicious. My husband was happy with the chicken and beef burrito deluxe. The boys enjoyed their tacos and burritos as well. read more

Really solid Mexican food! Served hot and fresh, with plenty of food! I walked in to order and carry out and it was only about a 10-15min wait for my food once I ordered. They were quick even though the place was packed for lunch. Definitely a small seating area, if it's busy it might be hard for a big group to sit. The lunch specials all looked great. I went with lunch #8 and I highly recommend. Lots of food for a great price! read more

Didn't expect to find authentic Mexican here - had a Birria bowl. Great flavors, wish I had one of these restaurants near me outside of Columbus! Next time I'm driving on 71 I'll make a point to stop here for a meal. read more

Fun decor but not fancy. Friendly and helpful staff who made great recommendations. The salsa with the sauce was good but not special. We ordered guacamole and that was delicious with a good spicy flavor and chunks of avocado, onion and tomato. We ordered the Smoked Brisket Tacos (2 tacos) and Cheesy Diabla Tacos (2 tacos) and shared them. The brisket was soooo tender and smoked just right and tasted great with the toppings. The Daibla tacos have a great flavor and were not spicy like we thought they would be. They had just the right amount of flavor. This place is definitely worth a try! read more

Very impressed to get such good street tacos in Mansfield. Flavors were good and the price was what you would expect. My only disappointment was the Gordita. The pictures showed what looked like a tasty empanada, but it was more like a pita sandwich. All in all will definitely go back for tacos when in town. Service was good and it had a laid back atmosphere. Good work Pancho! read more

Great food! Friendly staff! The only reason it's not a 5 star review is because their food is kind of inconsistent. Sometimes it will be out of this world delicious, sometimes it's just okay. I keep coming back for the out of this world times! read more

I love panchos, the food is delicious and worth the price when it's right. My problem is this is the fifth time I've ordered it either for pickup or delivery and they didn't give me my salsa. FIVE small sides of salsa verde and they just don't put it in there. They cancel orders on Grubhub without any warning and over an hour wait for the food. If you don't want to fulfill the orders correctly, or at all, don't have a pickup/ delivery option. read more

Been here about 6 times now in the past couple months . Food is always fresh and pretty quick . Free chips and salsa. Beer on tap and in bottles and cans . A ton of different hot sauces to try out as well and homemade in fridge to grab . As far as tacos go I'm a huge fan of the Egg and Chorizo . The Al Pastor is there staple and is worth a try as well . I have had there burrito a couple times now . It has good flavor but it is always messy and just to wet for my liking . I'm fine with sticking to the TACOS . Its a fine addition to the area. read more

Great food. Decent prices. Great service. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Easy access. Lots of parking space.

Do not care for the food. I grew up in Cali. And the prices are ridiculous. It all depends on what you like.

Came here from a recommendation and also had a friend who used to work at Pancho's. I'm under the assumption this is one of the only Mexican spots in the area that have lengua & barria so that alone places them a step ahead of the rest. We came in on Taco Tuesday which has street tacos 2 for $3 and let me tell you for the portion size and quality you're getting it's a really great deal. I ordered barria and chicken tacos, barria comes with a delicious broth to dip your tacos in which you may have seen on Facebook. Everything tasted amazing and the service was super quick & staff was attentive and very friendly. May have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Mansfield! Loved it. read more
