Location/Restaurant; right in downtown Newark, super cute place. It is order at register and food called once done, no servers. Decor is Flamingos meet the Arizona cactus, super cute! Food; On this trip order the smash burger, and it was mighty tasty. Odd, it would appear place is more taco driven, but the smash burgers are yummy and large. Ice cold beverages, and the dole whip adult drink was GREAT. Service; Our order taker with super helpful for first timers, and friendly.

It's a terrible place. The tacos are terrible. The service ...ugh terrible. The drinks... terrible Kidding *see photos! Such a cute place!! Definitely will cure any winter blues and will be GREAT for summer! Food - ugh sadly it was so tasty!! What a great spot! I was working in Newark for a couple days, googled good restaurants in Newark - I was Pleasantly surprised!! Ample parking Walk up/drive-thru window - but why?! Too cute to not come in! 4-stars because the cashier was also bartending and mixing up drinks! Which took a little while - not a big deal. Don't sleep on this place. Oh my gosh it's terrible. Disclaimer: their motto 'MNCHS' It's a terrible place

The food is absolutely fantastic. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Plenty of room for seating and everything was absolutely spic and span. We will absolutely be back to try some more of the other concoctions.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of MNCHS is the owner's marketing on social media. I love it, lol. The lady embodies the phrase "I'm rubber, you're glue"--she takes all criticism in stride and doesn't hide it from anybody, even when I mistakenly call her a "guy" while writing this review. The place has a fun vibe when it comes to staffing choices and ambiance. It's small, vibrant, and full of things to catch your eye inside the restaurant. They also help promote and support other local businesses, which is always an additional thumbs up. The menu is full of awesome daily specials, and they're not afraid to step outside the box with their dishes. Now, let's get to the food, which is what everyone really wants to hear about. The smash burger? Elite! Crispy meat lace on the patty from a ripping hot flat top and a proper smash, with a soft and toasted bun and well-seasoned beef. Three things that seem easy to get right, right? Wrong. I've seen a dozen burger spots fall short in at least one of these categories. I do have a bias towards a smash burger, but whatever, sue me. This place does them right! The birria tacos are good, not great. The flavor is banging, the beef texture is awesome, well-seasoned of course, and they don't skimp on the consommé or the cheese. Personally, I don't enjoy cilantro or raw onion very much. Yeah, I know, man-child lol! So don't take my criticism to heart when it comes to the tacos. The consommé has a strong cilantro flavor, so it's not my jam. I do recommend that if you get the tacos, dine in or eat them quickly--don't let them sit in takeout boxes for too long. They're corn tortillas soaked in consommé, so they're bound to get soggy over time. I didn't get a photo for some reason, but the queso fundido and chips are absolutely a hit, and you get a generous portion for the price. I recommend visiting and giving them a fair shake.

Carnitas taco and shrimp taco. Very tasty.

Quick and tasty meal. Give order and in a few minutes, your order is ready. When finished just pitch your disposables plates and napkins in the trash. Friendly service.

I absolutely love street tacos especially birria so I decided to give this place a shot since it had some good reviews for their Birria tacos. This place is more than just Mexican food as they are known especially for their smash burger which I will have to go back and try! Inside you will find a chill atmosphere with a bartender mixing up some of the customer's favorite drinks. Kinda reminds me of a little tiki bar. When I walked in the line was almost to the door. From the time I ordered to the time I received my food it was approximately 15 minutes which I didn't think was bad since they were so busy. Staff were all very friendly. As for me y review of their Birria tacos.....flavor was good but seemed overpowered by what I'm guessing to be a chipotle sauce that the menu stated is on these tacos. For me, the chipotle took away from the authentic taste of a good Birria taco. Even so, they were packed with great flavor and they were gone in no time! Next time I will order them without the chipotle and I would recommend to them that they just put this on the side to let the customer decide if they want that on the tacos. I will certainly be back to try other menu items!

The food here is delicious and the prices are good. Not only is the food good but the cocktail menu is pretty extensive. I definitely would recommend to people visiting this area.

I live in Columbus Ohio and have been eyeing this place for months. My birthday was Friday so I finally decided that I'll make the drive out to Newark to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. I gorged myself I ordered the smash burger, two birria tacos, and the potelote. The smash burger was an absolute 10/10, loved the tacos and the potelote was great too. I also ordered a mixed drink called the painkiller which was also very good. I was a big fan of the decor, vibes and overall my only gripe is I don't live closer. This is a phenomenal spot and I really look forward to coming back soon.

For some of the best #Nachos #Tacos #quesadillas #Burgers Near #centralohio Head out to #Newark #Ohio and go to @mnchskitchen I was blow away but the taste of everything here. Everything that I've had thus far has been seasoned to perfection. I already make this trek to go to @pizzanerdsoh so this place just increased the amount of money I'll be spending on gas to get out here. I did the #chorizo on the nachos and that thang was thanging for real. I've not had nachos in a while that was well balanced in regards of seasoning and heat. The #birriatacos were truly majestic in terms of visuals and taste. The thing that put these tacos over the top was that they werent fatty. The #chickenquesadilla made the whole meal worthy of being the thing I would order if ever put in a last meal situation.

I can honestly say these were some of the most satisfying tacos I have had in years!!! I was in the area dropping off some art for an upcoming show, stopped in for a beer, got some food because of the smell and the charismatic dude behind the register. If I am ever in the area again, I will not hesitate to stop by again! Wow!

We parked around the corner and walked to Mariposa. We Noticed that the man hole covers had maps of the Earthworks. The walk to Mariposa's restroom was interesting. It winds all the way to the back of the building past exposed brick walls showing the buildings history. There are maybe 10 booths or tables along the left or right walls Down the center is a HUGE community table. I came with a group of close to 30 seated at the community table. Which was perfect for us! We rolled in right at noon on Taco Tuesday. (They were expecting us) One waitress was assigned to our table. She was great! Chips +salsa was served with glasses of cold water for each diner at our community table when we walked in. The salsa was mild but also cooked and served warm. The chips had a hint of lime. Hubs had the smothered chicken burrito and said it was fantastic. One huge burrito stuffed with rice, beans, meat) with queso Blanco poured over the top. There may have been more inside the burrito. I ordered the "any 3 Tacos for $10" Special and enjoyed chicken, carnitas, baria with consume. I'm a big barra fan and never pass up the opportunity to find great baria. The barria was just ok but the consume tasted burned. And since the taco was grilled in the consume the entire taco was unpleasant. Also served on the side was a small verde salsa with a little kick. Loved it! I scraped the protein out of the tacos for a lower carb lunch with the zucchini and really enjoyed my meal. We agreed we would return next time we are in Newark. By the way, we were there to tour the newest UNISCO World Heritage Site- the Great Circle Ceremonial Earthworks. The museum is open Thursday-Sunday from 10-4. At 2:00 a Docent hosts a tour of the circle. Best $10 I've spent in a long time! Make a half day of it and visit the Earthworks and Mariposa while in Newark.

My rating would be a 3 on a few things and a 4 on others but the staff is so friendly and nice it bumps it to a 4 easy, Its hard to find genuinely nice people and they are either great actors or my guess is good nice staff!! Fajitas are very good if I would have only got shrimp, it was tender and delicious and all the veggies were perfect but the steak is not so good and would skip that next time. It's tough and not much flavor. The tacos were all good, the Beria taco dipping sauce was weird and not our jam. Overall a nice spot in downtown Newark that we will try again.

Despite other reviews on this place, the staff were actually all friendly and attentive. When I walked in I could tell that this place is no more than a bar with dine-in seating surrounding it. I didn't really find the Birria tacos on their menu however when I inquired about them the waiter stated that they have them. I didn't have to wait long for my food however from the moment my plate arrived it was sheer disappointment. My plate arrived with 3 "Birria" tacos but there was not much about these that said "Birria". They were prepared on flour tortillas that were completely soft with no sign of the classic melted cheese on the tortilla, no limes, and no dipping broth. Of course I asked for limes and broth. The "broth" that was brought to my table appeared to be watered down taco grease and tasted as such! The tacos had a fair amount of meat, onions, and cilantro in the tortilla but these were a far cry from an authentic Birria taco. When I received my check I would discover a charge of $16.08 for a plate of Americanized tacos. Meat was dry and quite tasteless. If you're looking for a place that does not serve authentic Mexican food with higher than a giraffe's nuts pricing then this is your spot!!! I will not be a repeat customer.
