We always get seated very quickly and our food comes out super fast. Everything is delicious! Service is great. Food is always fresh and hot. We've never been disappointed. A great place off-of I-71. We were on our way to Niagara and found this place. The food did not disappoint. The shrimp tacos were awesome. We also got the pollo tropical-which was huge and the pineapple was spot on. This dish also came with a side of beans and rice. Service was quick and polite. The ambiance was good too. I live in California so I'm familiar with Mexican food. I always stop by Tacos and Tequila when I visit family in Ashland, OH. My family are amongst the few Latino families in that town and we all agree that it's the best Mexican food in that area. I recommend ordering the Al pastor tacos, they're marinated and grilled with pineapples. It's a perfect mix of sweet and salty. The portions are quite large and shareable. read more

My family and I decided to try somewhere different in Ashland today for a Mexican meal after we found out that Jake's was closed The great- Carnitas Tacos! Absolutely delicious!! If we go back, that's what I'll be getting!! The good - Shredded Beef Taco Salad, Shredded Beef Chimichanga. Not so good - Ground Beef Taco and Enchilada. The flavors just weren't there. ??? - Margaritas. Not a big fan of margarita mixes. They had a lot. That said, my Jumbo Gold Margarita, my wife's Peach Margarita, and Mom's Strawberry Margarita wasn't too bad. As it's a bit of a drive from where we live, not too sure if or when will be back as it was not exceptionally good. That said it wasn't bad either. read more

I would definitely order them again, not pictured-carnitas tacos my mother ordered and said she would definitely recommend them!! Cannot say enough good things about Tacos and Tequila. I'm a senior in high school and we were headed back to CT from an admitted student day at Xavier in Cincinnati and stopped off the highway during a snowstorm. We thought coming from Connecticut, how good can a Mexican place be in rural Ohio in the middle of nowhere? We were soon proven wrong. We came in about an hour before the place closed on a Sunday night. Our waiter quickly brought us waters and chips/salsa (delicious). He then came back over and took our orders. It only took about 10-15 minutes for our burritos to come out and they were AMAZING. Additionally, my high school was playing in the state championship basketball game back home and they had reliable WiFi that allowed me to watch the game on my phone. The vibe was very quiet and relaxed. Maybe it's because it was a Sunday night, but everyone was super friendly and got us more salsa when we asked, and were quick to bring out the bill. 5 stars, no doubt. While passing by town while traveling on 71 we stopped here for dinner based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. Our server was very friendly and offered great service. We both ordered the tacos, one Baja with tilapia and the other was barbacoa. I would recommend both as they were very filling and tasty with a side of two sauces, rice and beans. On a business trip and looking for a new Mexican option. Started with a "monster" Texas margarita, It was pre-mixed but still pretty good. The chips and salsa were excellent. I was kind of full from the great chips but ordered the Chipotle shrimp. They came out piping hot and were very fresh tasting. The Chipotle sauce was flavorful and not at all spicy. The place itself was very clean and the servers were very friendly. It's located in a strip mall but don't let that fool you.
