There are reasons we needed to be in this part of Mansfield, so we decided to have our linner here at Rancho fiesta! This is a very solid Mexican restaurant! Their meals meet the mark on every visit! We opened with beverages as well as adding a small guacamole to our chips and salsa order. Our first order of salsa was not up to par. We had found a small curly gray hair in it. After that, we decided we wanted fresh salsa and our waitress obliged us accordingly. My mom ordered a peachy margarita and I a Modelo Especial. For our main courses, I ordered their California salad and my mom ordered their pecan cranberry salad, my wife decided to eat light with two taquitos. Our meals arrive relatively quickly and we're well presented. My salad was delicious and my mom enjoyed her salad as well. I am fairly certain that that hair was a one off. I read a post before coming here and said refried been a were bland, I thought they were very tasty along with the rice was very flavorful. I got the rice black beans and a burrito and it was all very tasty. My wife got the shrimp tacos and they were also very good. Our server was very polite and attentive so we are thankful for that. The place was very clean with a great smell when you walk in the door. We will definitely return for this experience so no complaints here. read more

There was a chunk of chicken in the salsa that came with the chips. There was a hair in the replacement salsa the manager said was part of an onion. Grey, curly hair. I cook with onions all the time. Never had an "onion hair" in my food. Ordered lunch specials before the lunch cutoff of 2:30pm; one was charged the lunch price and then other was charged $4.00 more than the menu price. Went here after a training session down in Ohio, wasn't too far from the hotel. My husband was craving Mexican tonight. Was a bit of a wait tonight for a Monday night, so it was busy, good sign. Though mostly foreigners in the establishment. Ordered grill chicken tacos on corn tortillas. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food came out quick too. Enjoyed the chicken tacos, tasted pretty good, nicely seasoned and topped with sliced avocados and pickled onions. Comes with a small side of rice, beans and cheese. read more

I have been to Sonora Mexico and this place has great food. I have had many great meals and I order something different every time. Both beef and seafood are excellent. I have eaten in and take out many times. The chips and salsa are very good. The portions are generous and order to delivery is reasonably fast. They have online/call in orders but I have not used it. How very sad when a once favorite Mexican restaurant changes the very business formula that made them popular to begin with . While the Rancho Fiesta remains one of the better decorated Mexican "themed" restaurants in town It seems to have lost the once friendly atmosphere That it once had . Yes , the servers still display a smile when taking orders , however that smile no longer appears genuine , but more like a "rule" proffered by management . ( and yes , we CAN tell the difference ! ) On this trip , Our waitress , a new hire , was cordial but completely lacking in understanding the various menu items available ,and appeared to have had little to no training for her job . However ,With consideration to the fact that most every business in town is displaying "help wanted" signs , she should be applauded for stepping into the job market , while others her age remain hiding out at home or wherever . On this visit , My favored " go to " lunch selection , menu item #3 - Huevos con Chorizo , a fluffy 3 egg scramble intermixed with Chorizo sausage and served alongside a bed of rice ,beans , and three tortillas ...... was totally disappointing . The egg scramble was hard and bore slightly burnt edges ,the chorizo sparse , and the refried beans dry and pasty ( as if they had been parked a bit too long under the overhead warmer, waiting to be served ) in addition the advertised three tortilla accompaniment magically became only two this time , and the once unlimited refillable soft drinks Are now LIMITED to one refill only . Refills for our water glasses , usually promptly tended to by the wait staff , was ignored On This visit , and happened only after we flagged down a passing server .........A bit puzzling ,Since our visit was at 3:30 in the afternoon , and the premises were sparsely occupied by other diners . With consideration to the fact that everyone has an occasional "off day" I do plan to return, to see if my experience that day was a fluke, or instead is the "new" Way of doing business there since the Covid debacle . I have eaten here many times and the food is very good. My complaint is not with the staff or the food but with the payment option. I always ask for the senior discount and the last time I was there I gave the gal at the register my receipt and card. She swiped it immediately and I asked for the senior discount. She said, "Oh, I already swiped it. She then called over a gentleman and told him I wanted the senior discount. He said, "Too late. The card has already been swiped." I don't buy that. No dollar amount was entered. Cancel the transaction. It isn't a huge savings, but he was rude and abrupt. He could have done it, just didn't want to bother. Boo on them. read more

The wife and I dined out.for the first time, rather than eat in the car. The chips were hot the salsa was perfect and the menus were clean, very clean. I had a #40 and the wife had the arroz con Pollo. Both meals came out in a reasonable time and both were hot af. All of the waiters and waitresses had masks and some had gloves. I can't stress this enough the place was clean and I mean very clean. The center tables have been removed for social distancing but the boothes can be moved to benefit heavier patrons such as myself. read more

Let me start with, I've been eating here since they've opened. The food has always been great, service is always top notch, never a question. However. Yesterday. I ordered online (sister is in town for the first time in like 2 years and eating in the living room is far more convenient than going in) and I added some things to the dish!!!! When I got home I looked at the tortilla and my eyes started to water. I was unphased because my sister likes spicy stuff too, so I figured ‍it's all gonna be like that. I take a couple bites. Good, chorizo, steak, cheese. Delicious. As I'm cutting the next piece off I notice the texture is a little different. I think nothing if it. I'm like "oh finally getting some veggies." Nope f my whole entire life. I bit into a jalapeño that was hotter than Satan's..... Anything. "Stop, don't eat more! Call the restaurant and complain!" Is what you might be thinking. Yeah, didn't do that. There were two burritos in the food I ordered and there were 4 jalapeños. I do not know who hurt the chef in his previous life but come on!!!! When we first moved here 10 years ago we were starting to despair that good Mexican just was not an option, then we found this place. To be sure the Mexican standards on the menu won't disappoint but branch out and try some of the specialties. The Molcajete is literally one of the best things I have ever eaten. It's like fajitas, only wayyyyyy better. If you are adventurous try the pollo a la pina (pineapple chicken), it is amazing. I called and they looked my order up then said" She waitress "thinks she put it in there." I don't just think I paid for all of it. I know I did. I was hung up on and the phone left off the hook 20 min. I was called a liar. They remembered all about the order except to put it in th bag. Ask your server if there's going to be an up charge for changing rice to fries because they'll just charge you without telling. I love writing reviews like the one I am about to write. Too often, we hear about the bad things others experience at restaurants. Well, I want to tell you about how GREAT this place was when we went! We went there on Friday, July 22 around 7:00pm. I say this for two reasons: it was pretty busy and I want to commend our waiter whose name I did not catch! (we were sitting in a booth along the window facing US-42) My wife and I took my parents, my brother, and his girlfriend there after a stressful day. We really just needed some good Mexican food, tall margaritas, and a relaxing stress-free atmosphere. This is exactly what we received! We did wait about 20-25 minutes for a table, but expected that due to the time and day of the week. The fact that it's so busy and people leave happy speaks volumes in itself. Once we were seated, our waiter took our drink order immediately, came back with our waters and margaritas reasonably quickly, took our order, and I feel like we had just enough time to have a good before-dinner chat before our food arrived. While we waited, the waiter must've brought our group of 6 people 3 or 4 bowls of chips and about 8 bowls of salsa (we were hungry and we love chips and salsa!) The chips and salsa were yummy. The vegetarian menu offered plenty of options, which was good for my wife and I. We both enjoyed the #1. The other members of our family all enjoyed various items that included meat. They all gave the food good reviews. Throughout the meal, our waiter was bringing out drink refills, chips and salsa refills, and anything that was requested by the table (and we can be a demanding bunch!). He was ON it. This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant around. The interior is so pretty. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly. My advice would be to come here when you are not in a rush. Stay away unless you want your personal info and credit card info posted on the internet. I took my father here for dinner when we were in town for the races. We sat at the bar. We had Chrystal Wynn for a our bartender. She was far from accommodating and actually a bit rude. So when we were done i didn't feel she deserved a tip. So she proceeded to flip out yelling at us and calling the cops. Then she used my credit card info to find me on the internet and then proceeded to leave fake reviews on my business and tried to attack me personally online. Now my American Express card that she shared the info online has been used by someone on amazon to buy $1,000 worth of stuff. I called the restaurant and they don't care. They say she's an employee and they can't control her social media. Well my attorney will be handling the rest. The food wasn't even that good. read more
