Do not use this repair shop! I had a battery replaced in October and it failed in February. His invoice states Battery 36 month free replacement warranty. He replaced the battery but charged $120 for labor! How is that free and how is that standing behind the product? I just paid $410 for a battery. Total rip-off! I brought my car in to get a small power steering leak fixed, I was told by bob it would be a an easy fix so I left my car and returned to work. I was called to pick it up & don't believe he charged me anything which I found unusual but I didn't complain. After being home for a few hours I tried to leave my house again and found my steering wheel locked due to the entire fluid draining out. Turns out Bob had placed a small circular thing that caused the liquid to drain (I was told by another mechanic) I'm assuming so I would be forced to come back and pay him for future services. I ended up called a more skilled mobile mechanic who fixed the issue for me. read more

This is a small shop, a 1 guy shop. He does everything. He is very honest, we brought our car in to have the timing belt changed and brakes replaced because some other place said they were at 2mm. He did the timing belt but not the brakes because he said they were at 6mm so there was no reason to do it at this time. Prices were very reasonable as well. So, my husband and I have been going to this mechanic for a couple years but I'm not sure why. I won't get into why I've refused to go back, I'll just mention my husband's most recent experience. His truck was shaking, so he took it in to Rob to check out. It turned out to be the valve lifters (probably.. you never know for sure with this mechanic). Rob then quoted my husband a price. After discussing it, we agreed Rob could work on it. That's when it got stupid. Every single conversation with Rob from then on out the price would go up. He just didn't know how much it would cost, I guess, which is incredibly unprofessional. As we could have gone ANYWHERE ELSE and gotten a definite price. Plus, he blindsided us with a $500 diagnostic bill. If we had known he was going to charge $500 for a DIAGNOSTIC we would have gone somewhere else, but typical for this mechanic, he didn't let us know until after the fact. Save your money, do not go to this mechanic. Not only is working with him frustratingly difficult, you won't find out how much the repair will actually cost you until you pick up the vehicle. read more

Do not go to this mechanic! This would be 0 stars if I had the option of leaving 0. Went to take my car in for spark plug problems, Rob said that nothing was wrong with them and all they had to do was be tightened. He then proceeded to charge me $100+ for tightening them and a 30 minute diagnostic. A couple months later, my spark plug shot out of my vehicle. I looked in the spark plug hole and found there was absolutely no thread left in the hole. Apparently it was either over torqued or stripped to begin with, in which case he should have informed me and he did not. I called to inform Rob (the mechanic) of the situation and he told he had no invoice or record of my being there. Shady business!!! Do not go here! read more

Rob's Auto Repair is the most honest place I've ever gone to get my car fixed. I had a good bit of work done with them recently. When they found a safety issue that I couldn't afford to fix just then, they went ahead and fixed it anyway, free of charge. The price I paid was the price they quoted me at the very beginning. The most impressive part was that even gave me feedback for how to talk to mechanics in the future and avoid being taken advantage of. I've only had rob do one basic job for me, but he passed the basic test of trustworthiness. I told him up front I had bought my car recently, used. It's wobbling when I drive fast. He tells me that I should have the balance checked. You know why that's great? In this moment if I take his word for it I'm just out of there, going back to my tire shop to have them re-balance it for free. His only incentive to tell me it could be a balance issue is to help me fix my problem. But I tell him, no, I just had the balance done. I want to get the front wheels aligned next. He says, ok, and just does an alignment, doesn't try to sell me anything else. And then when I asked him, he told me there wasn't anything obvious wrong with my axles. You see, many less scrupulous mechanics would try to sell you new joints in this moment. I bought the vehicle used, and I have an unexplained wobble that balancing the tires didn't fix. He could have tried to sell me something I don't need. He didn't. Trustworthy company. Will use again. Not sure yet if my issue is fixed, but that's not what I asked for when I showed up. read more

Rob has worked on my Toyota for the past four years or so. I bring it in religiously for oil changes and whenever one of my lights comes on. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and truly cares about service. Costco had installed new tires after I had a blowout, after they installed them, my console lit up like a Christmas tree. Costco said that none of the lights were their issue. I promptly went to Rob, he ran a diagnostic, and fixed the problem for no charge. Fortunately, I have only had minor issues with my truck, but Rob has been there to take care of them for a very reasonable price. I recommend him often if friends are having car issues. I had a groupon for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. I was a bit nervous about going to an unfamiliar place, especially because I couldn't find any reviews for it but I was pleasantly surprised! Rob is very knowledgeable, and he was quick and thorough. He made sure to reset my oil guage for me and he even gave me 6 quarts (I drive a mustang and I didn't know they took 6 quarts because this was my first oil change) even though the groupon said up to 5 quarts. He didn't even charge any extra. He just seems like a really nice and honest guy which I appreciate because I'm afraid of being taken advantage of every time I need something done to my car.
