For comparison, I took an identical pair of slacks to a different alteration shop in Pismo Beach on the same day. That location charged nearly three times as much, and their anticipated completion date is still a week and a half out--so I can really see the difference in both value and turnaround time. I didn't even know this shop existed and it is VERY tiny but I am glad to have found it! It's on East Main street near College ave, CVS, kinda by Domino's Pizza and Rose Of Sharon flower shop. Every time I go in there, there are lots of wedding dresses, suits, shirts, pants, from other customers. I have taken dress pants to get the legs tapered, classic fit suits to get the trunk taken in so it is a more modern fit, and sleeves to get shortened. She did each to how I wanted and provided insight and suggestions that made for a better outcome. She tells me some of the alterations she does by hand not on the machine! Sometimes there is a little bit of a delay in getting your order, but she does get your order finished. Just know that if you are going to bring in a garment for alteration, you will probably will need to put it on so she can measure and place the pins in the fabric to how you want the fit to be. To do that, you go into the corner where the mirror and those boxes are, draw the curtain and change. It's literally just a curtain that you draw closed for privacy. VERY cramped space, but I had no problem. Prices are reasonable! I have tried other shops here in town and they were very expensive in comparison! From what she tells me shop hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm. But call ahead to make sure.

I picked it up 4 to 5 weeks later, repair was three something, took it home, and had the same problem, called and talked to the owner who was very rude.....I will never ever take my machine to that place again, they charge an arm and leg and does not guarantee their work. Since this incident whenever I have to have it serviced I drop off to a fabric and sewing place in San Luis Obispo called Cut & Run and Paul Howell the owner of Howell machine Repair in Paso Robles picks up and delivers back to the that shop. I was yelled at by a short angry woman with glasses for rearranging a chair in the front of the store to avoid the sun. She would then pop out from the back periodically and follow me around for no reason. The kicker is while I was sitting in the back of waiting for my clothes to dry, she bumped me with the dry mop, and sarcastically said "excuse me" while sighing and shaking her head. This lady clearly needs to work in the back or something away from the general public. I've never met anyone as bitter and miserable as her in my entire life.

Prices are fair with normal sized loads averaging at about 3-5 dollars a load for wash and dryers are .25 cents per 7minutes on the smaller end and 3 minute increments on the large ones.
