She asked my preferences and permission every step of the way, knowing it was a treasured family heirloom. I could not be happier with how the dress turned out, and she so thoughtfully displayed it on a mannequin with bows once it was ready! I can't recommend Theresa enough. They actually finished my alterations several days earlier than promised, and the fit turned out absolutely perfect. I was so pleased with the result that I immediately brought in two more pairs of slacks. The whole experience was stress-free, affordable, and done with real attention to detail. For comparison, I took an identical pair of slacks to a different alteration shop in Pismo Beach on the same day. That location charged nearly three times as much, and their anticipated completion date is still a week and a half out--so I can really see the difference in both value and turnaround time. I tried calling several times to confirm their hours but they never answered. It's a small shop in an older strip mall on Main Street. The owner seemed annoyed that I would need to try the pants on to pin the hem. There is a small corner with a curtain that you can change in. She pinned one of the pants & told me they would be ready late on Friday. I wasn't able to get back in till Monday. She had trouble finding my pants, then brought them out in a bag. She said she had written down a different day when they would be ready & didn't get them pressed. One pair was hemmed to the right length but the other was still too long. I decided not to take them back. Unfortunately this was not a positive experience & I will keep looking for someone to do alterations.
