He used to be a good dentist, but seems to have lost interest or something. He doesn't explain what the plan of care is at each visit. After the first two visits, where I had my teeth pulled. I went for a third visit expecting it to be a routine cleaning, but got cavities filled. That was fine because I had two that needed to be filled anyway. Until he tried to fill a tooth that I know does not have a cavity. I pulled away slightly at that point to ask what was happening. He said I was being hyper, which was dismissive and a bit rude. I was glad I pulled away because he stopped afterwards.
The other thing I find disturbing is that he still wouldn't do a routine cleaning. I hate saying this about healthcare professionals, but I think he wanted to do the procedures with higher reimbursement. It just didn't make sense after three visits in 6 weeks that I still didn't have a cleaning done. I was going to make an appointment to do just that, until I read some reviews. I didn't want to risk my only cleaning in like 6-12 months (whatever my insurance covers) being a half-done job.
Instead, I changed dentists and requested that his practice send over the x-rays to my new dentist. They requested $50 for my medical records. I thought that was absurd. In the past, I've paid doctors to fill out forms but never more than $25 and never for my medical records.
I do not recommend his practice. read more
