Unfortunately, it turned out I had some kind of nerve issue/damage after my implant and the lower right quarter of my face remained "frozen". It was awkward and embarrassing and still isn't 100% back- even though it's about 90% back now- 10+ years later!! I also felt like his father the dentist was very dismissive after his initial friendliness- and then the younger dentist I ended up liking left. I haven't been there since way before the pandemic, but I didn't want to write a negative review while I was still a patient. Also- I signed a waiver/form about the implant surgery so...and thank God the feeling mostly came back. However, the very experienced hygienist also named Kessler (she said they were unrelated) was a lovely person as was the Eastern European receptionist with blond hair- unfortunately I have forgotten her name- Marina? I come in here every month for my Invisalign trays, and it's always a warm welcome coming in. Almost feels like I'm catching up with old friends. The staff here is friendly and funny. Also I'm sure they cover many different ranges of insurances. And the location is close to Bedford Av. Dr Butter is amazing as a dentist and very dedicated to helping the patients out. Like if Beyoncé were a dentist, it would be Dr Butter. Would 100000000000% trust her with my life. Definitely come through. read more

All the receptionists I talked seemed friendly and no ill will towards the dental assistants. However, this place has 0 respect for your time. The reviews about this place being overbooked are still 100% accurate. If you do choose to come here, be prepared to wait an indeterminate amount of time before you're ushered into the dental room. Then be prepared to wait another indeterminate amount of time before the dentist will actually see you. After waiting well over half an hour with no dentist in sight (for the second time!), I simply got up and left. If you were a patient and showed up over half an hour late to an appointment, you would not be allowed a visit. There's no reason why it should not be vice-versa. Definitely will not be going back again. read more

I hate that I have to update my review, but $11,000 worth of dental work later (due to the bad work done here), and I don't have a choice. I had 3 root canals done here - 2 by Dr. Kessler, and one by a female dentist who's name I cannot remember. About a year after they were completed, I was still uncomfortable - and my gum above the most recent root canal was swollen and had a hard bump. I went back to Dr. Kessler who insisted everything was fine, it's just that "sometimes teeth hurt". This seemed like an odd response, and so I decided to get a second opinion. I went to two different dental practices, just to be 100% sure, and both said the same thing. All 3 root canals had been done poorly, and had left pieces of the root in - hence the pain. Not only that, but because of this, there was more decay, and the crowns were falling apart (after only one year!). I needed to get all 3 root canals redone, and all 3 crowns needed to be remade. I went to a specialist, who agreed with this diagnosis (so did those of you keeping score, that's 3 different doctors who told me the same thing). It took a 14 months, 18 visits, and $11,000 to correct all of the work done at Dr. Kesslers practice. I am appalled, in debt, and just sad. Never again. read more

I came to see Dr. Kessler as a referral from my dentist. First, making an appointment was so difficult. I called in early January and no one picked up the phone after calling multiple times. So I tried the next day. That time I was successful only after calling a few times and for an appointment at the end of January. On the day of my appointment there were so many people waiting. I should have known at that moment to just make an appointment somewhere else. I waited for more an hour and ten minutes to see this man for a CONSULTATION that lasted TWO MINUTES. He wasn't friendly or welcoming and actually looked like he was very tired and didn't want to be there. That was my first time. It is now May, and I continued to come here for my lock jaw. I had to get arthrocentesis, which consists of injecting fluids into my joints, and a wisdom tooth extraction. I got there at 9:15, and did not actually go in for my procedure until 10:30 when my appointment was at 9:30 am. I was nervous because this was my first time being put to sleep. After signing a paper outlining the possible side effects, Dr. Kessler says, "oh I forgot about the wisdom tooth. Forgot we were doing that today too." That made me feel really nervous. It also made me distrust him. He clearly does not care about my issues. I've had lock jaw since August and to know that he doesn't really care about my pain or circumstance makes me not want to go back. Got all four wisdom teeth extracted yesterday with total ease. I was fairly nervous about having general anesthesia, but after a simple blood pressure test, and iv to the arm, I was lights out. Woke up to my husband in the room with me and was given some prescriptions for pain killers and antibiotics and was sent home. Recovery is not nearly as bad as I expected. Day one I was loopy and a bit swollen, but pain is 1/10 at most, so long as my head is propped up and I'm following aftercare instructions. Day two is more painful- maybe a 2/10, but totally manageable. My sites of incision look healthy and are healing well, and I couldn't be happier with how smooth the ordeal has been, considering the horror stories I've heard. Dr. Kessler is fantastic! Just a calm, quick, painless procedure at a fair cost. Thanks Dr. Kessler! read more

My cousin just had oral surgery there today. At 538 the staff was kicking us out although she wasn't sturdy on her feet. This is the worst patient care ever. There's no signal in the building or outside unless you walk the block away. I would never recommend this place ever. STAY FAR FAR AWAY! This dental practice is a father/son money grubbing dental horror show! It is very badly run - they often don't pick up the phone or get back to you and they jacked up my teeth. The practice is more concerned with what insurance and/or money you have than you, as a patient.They refuse to do anything until the insurance is approved, which I have never seen anywhere else. My last 6-month exam and cleaning was not done properly and did not uncover a cavity. That tooth then broke a couple months later. Once the tooth broke, they put in for insurance for a root canal. For some reason, my insurance denied it. So I called in and asked the receptionist to ask the dentist was there anything we could do till I could appeal or get the money together myself. I NEVER HEARD BACK. Now a month later, the gum under that tooth is swollen up and likely infected. They are now not answering the phone in the middle of the day. UPDATE: So they finally picked up the phone and asked me to come in. Dr Lawrence Kessler - the elder - railed on about money again and suggested that I either pull the tooth THAT DAY or think about it. He didn't do any of the protocol required for a serious infection - properly examine my mouth or x-ray to see if the infection has spread or prescribe a course of antibiotics FIRST before suggesting an extraction. Thank God, I decided not to pull it that day. Because I researched later. Extraction without clearing up an infection could've caused the infection to spread throughtout my mouth and body!! He also could have cleaned the tooth out to avoid the spread of infection with ozone gas or irrigation. But instead, because I didn't' have the money he wanted on the spot, he simply sent me home with a prescription for antibiotics and suggested a dental school.I am now very concerned about my oral and overall health and have to see a whole new dentist, as well as, go to the doctor to make sure this infection is not spreading. Placing concern with money over patient health is sloppy and unethical. The Kessler's are only ok if you have nothing wrong with your teeth, major insurance or your own money. And even then, with quicky sloppy 6-month exams and cleanings, they might miss something. I am appalled with this lack of caring about patients. It violates the Hippocratic oath. A good doctor or dentist finds a way to treat patients of every insurance level that he accepts. And good doctors are not running chop shops! We get ONE set of teeth in this Life - if they get messed up due to bad or sloppy dentists they are gone forever! read more

I've been coming here for years- for wisdom teeth extraction, check-ups, and cleanings which always went well. However, I was told that one of my previously filled cavities was leaking and I had to get it fixed, or else it would start hurting. Six months later I still had no pain but I decided to get it done as they suggested. I was seen by a younger male dentist and he ruined my tooth. It immediately didn't feel right once he finished, and soon after the tooth he "fixed" CHIPPED very badly. read more

The surgeon they have these days is a terrible person with no compassion for his patients. I had to have four teeth pulled, and am in excruciating pain, and all he prescribed me was ibuprofen. I had to wait since February to get this procedure done and it's been months with pain and taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen all the time. When I made it to the pharmacy they told me he didn't send anything for pain, only an antibiotic. Doctors can have their opinions, but their opinions do not matter if their patient is in extreme pain. Good thing this guy isn't an actual doctor and is only a dentist, I imagine if someone was seriously injured in a car accident he would give them ibuprofen and antibiotics. The oral surgeon that was at this facility years ago was way more compassionate, he was actually a good person, but this one needs his license revoked. And I'll do what I can to make that happen. His name is Dr. David Kessler if anyone wants to avoid his terrible treatment. This is the kind of doctor they warn you about. Extremely disappointed - This practice uses bill scamming tactics I called and asked if I was going to be charged for a consultation for my wisdom teeth and they said it was 100% free. They then billed me $100 for the consultation. I called my insurance and they said Dr Kessler's practice summited the wrong code. I then asked them to correct and resubmit the code so I wouldn't be charged but they wouldn't. They lied on the phone and wouldn't correct their mistake but what I think an intentional scheme to make more money.They are shady and an untrustworthy practice. After my wisdom teeth extraction, I took really good care of the wound, rinsed with salt water very often, ate only liquid food. I was happy I'm done with my wisdom teeth, and referred some of my friends to come here. I still got infected, but I was traveling at that time so couldn't come see the doctor. I talked with the doctor over the phone and followed his advice and took antibiotic for a week. The swell did not go down. The 3rd week swelling, I went into the office, doctor checked, looking confused, and said "well, that's strange", and prescribed me another antibiotic. It did work at that time, the swell finally went down after a whole month. I then thought I'm done with my wisdom teeth. But no, my cheek swell up from time to time. Sometimes from the left cheek, sometimes the right. Now I got swollen the 5th time. Right when I was about to call the office about my infection, they called me, informing that my patient responsibility increased from $275 to $575, because of insurance. Before going into surgery, I made sure with the staff that I will pay no more than what's quoted. This is very unprofessional. Then I asked to talk about my swelling first. She listened and asked about the details, as if she cared. Then she put me on hold for a while, came back and continued talking about the bill, how I should pay, and whatnot. After a about ten minutes of talking about the bill, she said she would send me the bill and talk from there. I gave up and agreed, then asked, what about my infection? She said "since you moved, you can't come in, so you have to find another dentist". Terrible experience, from extraction operation, to the billing. i shook like a leaf when they told me my wisdom teeth had to come out. I am terrified of the dentist. But when i found Dr. Kessler, and that he accepted my insurance, I booked an appointment. His office is only a block away from the L Train which made it a short distance away from my office. The staff here are knowledgeable and incredibily sweet. Once I was there, they took my x rays in an awesome machine (hooray for not biting those annoying cardboard things that make me gag) and had me wait till the doc could see me. He looked at my teeth, confirmed that I needed an extraction and got right to it. He handed my mother my scripts and since my insurance covered sedation, put my terrified ass to sleep. what felt like minutes later, i awoke puffy cheeked and high. I gave everyone around me a thumbs up and even posed for photos with my mouth filled with gauze. i was given a care package with how to care for my wounds and if i needed assistance, a number to call. I received a call today from the staff to see how i was feeling. Aside from being a little sore- i feel great. I loved this place and if having teeth pulled was something i needed again in the future (hopefully never again) i would come to Dr. Kessler who was gentle and quick and also very kind. Update: Knocking this down a few stars after my partners recent not so good experiences there. After several visits over a long period for a simple procedure (a filling) the issue could not be resolved?? After waiting in weeks of pain my partner arrives to her appointment and is told its a Jewish holiday so Kessler is not available? We thought he was our dentist? His obnoxious replacement, who talks to you like your an idiot, then tells you she can't do the simple filling procedure and charges it to our insurance anyway!? After months of this BS my partner had to eventually have her tooth pulled (by an amazing dentist, see review) who said if it had simply been filled when she first went to Kessler's clinic it might night have had to have been pulled! In fact after finally finding an honest, reliable and excellent dentist (rare as hen's teeth in this city) I've realized Kessler's clinic is way under par as are most of the others we've had the misfortune to visit. I have always had problems in the dentist's chair, and when I consulted with an oral surgeon on Central Park South about tooth extraction, my worries were confirmed: they charged heavily for a consultation, screwed up my insurance, and were sketchy about refunding my deposit. In short, the place felt like a factory. A coworker told me about David Kessler and I went for a visit. The difference was amazing: friendly, thoughtful service, clean facilities and a genuinely caring oral surgeon. When I explained that I couldn't afford general anesthetic, he gave me intravenous valium free of charge. Less than an hour later, I was out the door -- tooth extracted, care discussed, and completely at ease. And his quoted price after insurance was about $1000 less than the guys on Central Park South. I have had a lot of dental work done by a lot of dentists, but I have never had the level of care and service that I got from Dr. Kessler. Overview: professional, informative and fast service. Two weeks ago after MANY years of not seeing a dentist I had to go. A very nagging wisdom tooth and chronic teeth sensitivity kept me up at night. I went to an emergency visit at a local dentist and he informed me that my lower wisdom teeth had to go or I'll run the risk if getting really bad tooth decay on the adjacent tooth. I set up an appointment for today about 1 week ago. The receptionists were courteous and reassuring. They took my information and even called me the day before to remind me if my wisdom tooth extraction and to not eat 6 hours before the appointment in case I choose general anesthesia. The office is full of light and clean. It had that distinct dentist smell but nothing to worry about. After a filling out some paperwork and waiting 15 minutes for my insurance to clear I was called in to the little row of "rooms." So here is what went down: x-rays on this cool standing machine (no inserting a million little papers in your mouth), quick look by the doctor, a chat about the options and his suggestions and finally being told what you have to pay. Dr. Kessler was a very calming presence and he informed me of everything. He gets an A++++. After the chat I made my decision and they set me up with some AWESOME laughing gas, set up the IV and then lights out! After what felt like only 2 minutes later, I left the office with a small pack of gauze that had instructions printed on the pack and some prescriptions that were filled next door. A friend of mine recommended me to go see Dr David Kessler for my tooth extractions. It was a great experience, super friendly front desk staffs, reassuring nurses and great dentist! The place is clean and full of sunlight, with nice music playing in the background! I would say this is my best experience with a dentist. After having the x-ray done, Dr. Kessler came over and explained to me in detail what was needed to be done. Believe it or not I chose local anesthesia for my 3 tooth extractions. It look about 10min for the anesthesia to kick in then 20min for the actual extraction. It really wasn't painful at all and its really not that scary! It's kind of like filling a cavity. And this is coming from someone who has been petrified to go to the dentist for the past 3 years to get this problem fixed!! I am now recovering at home, again it's not very painful, just a little uncomfortable. Another plus, is that they take my dental insurance, Healthplex PPO! TERRIBLE place to go for a cleaning and exam. Extremely unprofessional, no bedside manner, rushed, didn't do a thorough job, and offered unwelcome cosmetic recommendations repeatedly. The dentist didn't look at the x-rays taken (or notice that the hygienist only took one side until I mentioned it) or speak to me about them. The dentist also didn't seem to notice or mention my missing filling until she was done and I had to mention that as well. I brought y 17yo son to see Dr. Kessler for a wisdom tooth extraction. Our first visit was in December of 2020. We were told at that time that we would have to come back as my son would need general anesthesia for the procedure, despite Dr. Kesler's staff being fully aware of what the appointment was for to begin with. We we're scheduled again for January. A few days prior to the appointment his office called to ask us to reschedule in 2 weeks due to an emergency on their end. I called the office back as instructed and was then told they didn't have appointments until March. We finally get the appointment and were further disappointed by the Dr. and staffs general manner and lack of patient care. They are cold and generally inept when it comes to patient interactions. My son was rightfully nervous about the procedure and was given no instruction or care. He was given the anesthesia and I was asked to the leave the room and was not allowed to stay with him. Following the procedure the Dr. Kesler barely addressed me or gave any indication of follow up needs. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CHILD THERE AGAIN. Stay far away. The place is off. OK for adults. My check-ups has been speedy and pleasant. Took my kids there 1 time and will never bring them back. I think it was David(the son) who saw them and although my kids both checked out fine, David said some things that should have been talked over with me(the parent) ONLY. TIP for improved chair-side manner---David, if you want to discuss future(major) procedures that may(or may not) need to be done to a child, don't concern them with the details until it is absolutely necessary! No one wants to think about surgery, especially if its not yet relevant or needed. It causes undue anxiety. PS- had a 2nd and 3rd opinion and both said the surgery wasn't essential. read more

Removed my impacted wisdom tooth painlessly and quickly and sent me on my merry way with my antibiotics and pain killers. Dr. Kessler was very kind, easy going and mild mannered. He made me feel comfortable without even trying even though I was a nervous wreck. The staff was very nice to me. All in all I had a very positive experience and I'm a self proclaimed coward! I don't get the one star reviews and the "horrible experiences". Shame on some of you for these silly reviews, possibly discrediting a very fine and professional oral surgeon. Give him a try. My only regret is not being able to hit up this great looking cafe I passed on my way to the G train because I couldn't eat or drink anything for 2 hours. OK. I came to this office because my old dentist was just not cutting it anymore. And I cannot be happier!!! Transition is never easy but sometimes you have to move on to bigger and better things. I had...roots canals, crown fitting, fillings and cosmetic work on my chipped front tooth by Dr Joshua Bronner DDS and it was a pleasure. First this guy can numb the heck out of a tooth without you feeling any pain. Second his work is by far the best I have had in years!!!!! Third his bedside manner is 10 out of 10. Lastly the office is small and clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. I cannot be more satisfied. They make a dental visit almost a pleasure. In order to get braces, I needed to extract a total of 8 teeth; 4 wisdom teeth (2 impacted on the bottom) and 4 premolars (two up top and two on the bottom). Though I am usually squeamish about this things especially anything related to dentalwork. I knew I had to get the ball rolling and meet with an oral surgeon for a consultation. As there were many specialties within the office it made it hard for me to determine if they overbook their appointments. The wait for the consultation took place an an hour and fifteen minutes past my scheduled time, so make sure you bring to bring an interesting novel and your ipod. Despite the angst of what my family, friends and ortho thought of me wanting to pull 8 teeth in one setting, Dr. Kessler assured me if that was what I wanted to do it would be perfectly safe. On appointment day, I arrived and within minutes I was in the chair. I kind of wished it took as long as the consultation. I had opt to be IV sedated. Dr. Kessler explained each step of the process as he and his assistant was setting up. I drifted off looking into his blue eyes, before I even had the chance to count. Less than an hour, which seemed like minutes I was awake once again. His assistant was very through and explained the care process and also provided the Dr. Kessler's cell phone number in case of emergencies. The procedure and healing was practically painless. Vicodin was not needed and swelling was to an minimum. I've heard horrific testimonies of teeth extractions and I am extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Kessler who exerts such professionalism, patience and knowledge. I really liked these guys here. The receptionists the assistants/nurses and Dr David Kessler were pretty cool too. I went to remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth, I was very nervous at first and thought to just remove two for now and the rest another time. But Dr Kessler recommended that I just get it over with instead of coming back to deal with it again. And I'm glad I took his advice. Dr Kessler hooked me up to the heart monitor, set up the iv and proceeded to give me 3 injections. I was out within 30 seconds and I swear I woke up right after to them telling me I was done! I was so loopy, I asked the doctor and my mother 3 times if they removed all 4 teeth. And after every question I fell back asleep in the chair LOL. Doc asked how I was feeling and I gave him a big smile and a thumbs up, and was just laughing at everything. I went yesterday for the surgery and I have minimal bleeding now. They gave me Vicoden (which feels lovely), some antibiotics, 800 mg ibuprofen and a bag full of gauze. It's only been one day and I'm already feeling better. Stick to soft/ liquid foods after the surgery, all I was having was soup but I decided a few hrs ago to have some chicken with rice and peas and though I cleaned my plate I spent like 30 mins gargling with sea salt and warm water to get the rice and chicken pieces out of the holes in my mouth, lol. Also! Make sure NOT to eat for at least 6 hrs before going under, because that anesthesia will definitely make you nauseous when you wake up, I made the mistake of eating like 3 hrs before hand and nearly puked when I had a sip of water after I woke up. Smh. Either way, it's a great place and I'm even considering making this home office for regular checkups. So let me begin by saying that wisdom teeth aren't something to joke around with. Mine weren't bothering me but I knew that by the time they were in pain, it'd be too late and they would hurt way more than getting this operation done. The first time I went to Dr.Kessler's office all I did was fill out some forms and met with the doctor. The ladies at the front desk seemed very nice and accommodating with all the paperwork and insurance stuff. Then they took me to get an x-ray on one of those cool rotating machines. Thank god they DO NOT use the old fashioned cannon aimed at your face while you bite down on 4 pieces of sharp plastic. After I was done they brought me in to talk to Dr.Kessler about what needed to be done. He is a nice man with a charming smile and a light hearted attitude. He really put me at ease about the whole situation. Anyway, I had 3 wisdom teeth that were growing in every direction possible and one broken tooth (an old root canal that destroyed my tooth). Dr.Kessler recommended I get all 4 teeth removed under anesthesia. I agreed and we set up an appointment for the following week. He even wanted to do it that same day, which I did not expect because doctors in general have a really packed schedule, so big plus for him. But since I had eaten that morning and had no one to pick me up that day, we had to schedule it for later. In between visits I was really nervous about the surgery so I looked up Yelp reviews on what people say about him as a doctor. They all had positive things to say about him but I had to see it to believe it myself. The second time I went to his office was today actually. I showed up really early and they took me into the chair almost right away which I did not expect. This is where the weird shit began. From that point on, about noon till about 4pm, I have no recollection of what happened. I remember Dr.Kessler coming in and talking to me while he and the nurses strapped me up to all the machines. He put a small mask over my nose and said that it was laughing gas while also putting the IV into my arm to administer the sleeping meds. Since I don't remember anything that happened after that, I don't have much to say about the surgery itself. The needle didn't hurt. You're too focused on how cool the gas mask is to feel the tiny pinch in your arm. I passed out almost instantly and the sleep was dreamless and painless. According to my mom it took less than an hour till they brought me back out to the waiting room at around 1pm. I wasn't in any condition to go home so the nurses took me back to the office and I guess I sat there for a little while. I don't remember being in pain at this point either. The scary part is that you don't really have control over what you say or do. I was lucky enough not to say anything stupid to anyone but I did post some snapchat stories that I don't remember and I did text my mom saying "on a scale of 1 to baked, I am getting up there". Again the only way I know this is because I looked through my phone when I was fully functional. I'm thankful because it could've been way worse. Now I'm at home. They gave me ibuprofen, vicodin, and an antibiotic but the pain hasn't been bad enough for me to take the vicodin yet. Considering how much they fuck with your mouth I guess this pain is relatively nothing. Like I said they gave me a lot of painkillers so it isn't painful just slightly uncomfortable. The worst part must be that I can't eat normal food. But hey, baby food is delicious AF. Overall definitely recommend him as a surgeon. I feel bad that I was so out of it that I couldn't even thank him in person but I have a follow-up appointment in two weeks. If you're scared about going, trust me it's worth it and Dr.Kessler does a great job. By the way, they take a lot of insurances but make sure which ones they do and don't take. They took my Healthplex PPO. When you call to make an appointment ask the receptionist whether or not they take your insurance. read more

I had my 2 wisdom teeth extracted here this afternoon. I chose local anesthesia and the entire procedure itself took 15 mins , not including the 20 mins I waited for the anesthesia to kick in (seriously, don't even do the IV lol). He was explaining what he was doing during the process and the nurse gave me thorough instructions + my set of painkillers for the week. I brought my mother to see D. Kesseler some time ago and was able to meet him. His presentation seemed very professional at that time so on my way out l decided take his card for future needs of an oral surgeon. I called his office and l ask that they seek a referral from my general dentist. His receptionist did so but unfortunately the referral was not sent. That was not Kesseler office fault however l called back to speak with D. Kesseler and was told by the the receptionist that he would be given the message. 2 hours later the receptionist call me back and said that D. Kesseler would not speak to me over the phone. So l guess to ask a doctor a question these days you have to come in the office to be billed. Its ironic l can call a lawyer, carpenter, engineer or architect and be able to speak them but a doctor who carries a bigger responsibility refuses especially in light of a pandemic he rather put someone at risk of covid 19. Shame on you D. Kesseler you now lost my mother who was your patient and me who was a potential patient among others who l will be sure to steer away from you. THE FALL OF AMERICA!!! read more

I came here to have my wisdom teeth removed a few months ago. After hearing so many horror stories from friends about the procedure, I was the most nervous I have ever been in my life, and I've had much more invasive surgeries performed in the past! The procedure (for me at least) was pretty painless. As many others have stated, once the anesthesia kicks in, it feels as though you've only been asleep for maybe 5 minutes. I was super high and felt awesome upon waking up. I followed the directions for my Vicodin and cleaned and iced my mouth as directed and had zero complications and pretty much no pain! I couldn't believe it, how is oral surgery this easy? Orthodontics procedures are like 10 times more painful compared to this surgery. Dr. Kessler and his staff are very skilled at what they do and I highly recommend this facility. Just make sure you check, then double check, with the front desk in regards to payments/co-pays. They kept sending me bills that I had already paid and it took a very long phone conversation in order to clear up everything. read more

Referred here for wisdom tooth extraction,horrible experience.I barely was spoken to even after the procedure the doctor disappeared without saying a word only to leave a nurse to give me a small envelope with gauze and instructions on the envelope.Staff isn't friendly at all and the receptionist was only concerned with me signing paper and insurance she never even met eye to eye with me.Nevertheless the procedure itself took 2 minutes but I'd rather go somewhere else in the future. read more

I went in to have an extraction done by David Kessler today and had a horrible experience. The dentists bed side manner was cold, despite my effort to ease my own anxiety with a minor introduction and ice breaker. When I asked about anesthesia the doctor did not give me what I felt was proper education and when I googled the duration of the effects, I learned that It would not be safe for me to drive even hours after my procedure. The fact that when he offered the anesthesia and I made him aware of my inexperience and ignorance of it, should have warranted some doctor patient teaching, but he failed to respond to that cue, and I was forced to do last minute research on my phone when I returned to the waiting area. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, he began my extraction with local anesthetic as I had requested. He didn't take my blood pressure which was different, and in that moment I was so anxious I just wanted to get it over with. The dentist did not walk me through what he was doing and as the drills and the saws, and the tugging and the grinding became louder and more uncomfortable, the tears began streaming down my eyes. He had a compassionate young woman working with him who comforted me with touch and and dried my tears, but immediately after this trauma, without being allowed to regain my composure, I was beckoned by a petite dark haired assistant to leave the cubicle (because I can't call it a room... zero privacy, not even a curtain was pulled) and follow her to the waiting area with tears streaming down my face. I insisted that she give me a minute to go into the rest room and pull myself together and when I returned to her, she sat me down in a tight space with no privacy, to robotically give me post op instructions. I felt rushed and other than the fashionable older woman at the front desk, who was kind and welcoming, I did not have a pleasant experience at all and I would never return nor recommend this office for oral surgery. I think it's important to remember that it is the job of the provider to make a patient feel safe and do what they can to reassure them. This was not the case here and maybe Dad (the old dentist) should remind his son (the younger dentist who performed my extraction) the right way to do things. read more

This place is amazing! I was super nervous about going for a cleaning because I hadn't been to the dentist in 4 years, but I had an incredible experience. (And you don't hear that often about dental offices!) They were very friendly, prompt and showered my teeth in compliments. I was in and out very quickly. They even have numbing gel for your gums to make the experience not as painful. Seriously, GET YOUR TEETH CLEANED HERE. I would go every day if I needed to. read more

Girlfriend went there to get her bottom wisdom teeth removed because they were near a sensitive nerve. The appointment was quick, they're right to the point. However, when she was try to signal that she was in pain, the doctor proceeded to tell her to stay quiet. She was having a panic attack and they didn't ask her what was wrong, she complained to me that she felt everything and when she tried to signal that she was in pain, the dentist told her to not make noise. I give the people there props to getting everyone in and out as quick as they can but maybe they should start noticing when one of their patients is in pain. read more
