The office and Dr Gober have checked on me daily. Having same day implants and extractions isn't easy. But I'm sure I made the best possible choice. I went to Marine Park Periodontics for X-Rays and a consultation related to implant surgery…read moreapproximately 4 months ago. I was going to need 2 implants. X-rays were taken and I was told the implant surgery could not be done until after 3 months, since I recently had both of the teeth that would be replaced with implants extracted. I was then introduced to the person who was in charge of financial matters. We discussed cost and she provided me with a written estimate for the cost of both implants which totaled $4,290. I was later informed by another dentist that I consulted, that the estimate I was given by Marine Park Dental did not include the cost of the 2 crowns and 2 abutments that were a necessary part of implant surgery. I then contacted Marine Park Periodontics and asked to speak to the woman who had given me the original cost estimate. I was informed she was not available and was put on hold for quite a while. I was then told that someone would call or text me with the additional costs. The same person who told me this, did call me back after an hour or so and informed me that the total cost for the crowns and abutments would be $4,000. Therefore, the total cost I originally discussed and was given to me by the woman I spoke to at the office should have been $8,290. That's basically double the difference in cost that I was originally given. I feel I was totally duped because she was obviously very misleading when we originally spoke concerning the actual cost of the ENTIRE procedure. Thankfully, I never started the procedure at Marine Park Periodontics. If 8,000 is the going rate for 2 implants I'd rather pay that money to an office that is up front about the TOTAL cost from the beginning. Shame on them! My advice, proceed with caution and get EVERYTHING up front and in writing before proceeding with this office.

People are so petrified to go to the dentist and I think this practice tries to be compassionate so people come in for all their check-ups without worrying so much. They even coordinated with my old dentist in Texas and ensured I got replacement retainers now that I live in Brooklyn without charging me a thing. They just said "That's what we're here for!" What a relief! I will never go to another dentist!

But I'm not shocked i came here and found more reviews than some restaurants have at such a high avg. Such is the ridiculous quality of care here--they go the extra yard for you, and you just want to reciprocate. I've had only one check up here (referred by my girlfriend, a longtime satisfied patient). it was simple, thorough, straightforward--no cavities or anything, so no major work. But the level of attention and smoothness of whole experience what we all think every medical appointment experience should be like, but unfortunately rarely is. Having my records transferred from previous dentist took one email... no follow-up, no five phone calls for confirmation, no lack of follow up... just made the request and they confirmed almost immediately. For my appointment, I met two separate techs who introduced themselves, explained everything (first visit, extra x-rays), asked questions and listened. Apologized several times that dentist was away and that they would fill him in. For follow up I had an email exchange from Dr. Dressel, apologizing for absence, giving his impression of x-rays and asking if any concerns on my end. We exchanged several emails... I was just flabbergasted--I don't remember the last time i received a non-form email from an actual doctor or dentist before. Tl;dr--come here -- you'll receive far better care and more attention from a doctor and staff than I imagine you are accustomed to.

Dr. Zidile is a good listener, willing to explain every detail and prepared a comprehensive long-term plan for me (with pricing) which was open to revisions.
